• Best approach to editing on two computers

  I usually use my desktop PC to change my photos, but will be traveling and would like to be able to work on my laptop while traveling.  I wonder what is the best approach.

  As a backdrop, all my photos are in a cloud service (OneDrive in my case) which synchronizes the files in directories identical on desktop or portable.

  I have identified two approaches and would like a recommendation on which is better.

  1. Move the catalog to the cloud synchronized directory structure
     I know that I would need to make sure that I had that catalog open on one machine at a time and which would need to be sure that the synchronization is complete before starting an editing session
     
     
  2. Export a catalog of files that I would like to change and the re - import when I finished
     Because the negative files are in the same file structure, I would only export the metadata, not the negative files
     I do my editing and then re - import the catalog to my master catalog when I come back, once again, leaving only negative files.

  Is there a benefit / cost to both approaches?

  I'd go with this method providing you are careful with the sync, upload in trip etc.

  Well, the error message says tmboot cannot find TUXCONFIG. If the TUXCONFIG environment variable has not been set or the tmloadcf command has not completed successfully to create TUXCONFIG. Whenever you login, you will need to run the tux.env file to set all necessary environment variables. If tmloadcf finishes successfully, it should have printed one or more of the error messages.

  Recently, I transfer my Labview file to a new computer. My set up has the following features, FP-1000F P-RTD-122 and FP - RLY-422.   There is a way to change the module and programmatically updated the IAK file without stopping the VI.  You will need to change the FP read.vi front right by with the constant e/s FieldPoint.  You will need to use the Open FP, FP create Tag, read FP, and close to the public Service.  The trick to this is that you must pre-create files IAK in MAX first.  The way to do is to set up your cart in a configuration and then find devices to MAX.  Then save the iak.  Then reorganize your bottom of basket to the next setting would have desired, then have MAX find devices and who save in a file different iak.  You will need to do this for each configuration you have.  Then, you need to place the code below when you want to Ministry the configuration file.  I have also included a screenshot of MAX that you can see what the strings are correlated with.
