Best headphones for speech recognition?

I intend to relieve my wrists sore using the option of Win 7 SR, but I want to get the right microphone / headset. I will be mainly dictated text.

In my view, a USB with microphone is ideal, but what is the best? Do I need a sound card? Does anyone have a fave for Win 7 SR micro? Approved by Dragon headsets work with Win 7 SR?

Thank you!

Hello

The success of speech recognition is directly related to the quality of the microphone you use. The two most common types of microphones for speech recognition are headset microphones and desktop microphones. Headset microphones are better suited to work with speech recognition because they are less likely to pick up outside sounds.

Buy a model USB microphone or not USB is left to you. Most of the microphones should work with Windows 7/Vista/XP.

You can also try to search for helmets in the Microsoft store.

Do I need a sound card?
Just a card of its operation on your computer is sufficient to use these microphones

Good well I tried to create on but fail, I tried searching the internet, failed to learn, I searched these forums... And has failed, so now I want to know, there is NO icon speech anywhere, but in the control panel (the "speech recognition Start") and I don't like the 'start-up windows startup' and I do not like, navigate I would just click 2 times on the element on my desk (although I might navigate to the icon ;)) just a simple tutorial would be nice) : D

  • WAV files as input for speech recognition?

Is it possible to use a wav (or mp3) file as input in the Vista speech recognition program and convert it to text?  It doesn't have to be perfect, just enough close conversion.

I'm no expert on the subject, so I could be off here, but here are my thoughts for what they are worth.

Even if you could place the speaker output in front of a microphone with no impedance or your comments I don't think that what you ask would work in technology current todays.

The voice on the audio file will have to go through the training recognition speech engine voices.  If she has a few guitars and drums on it plays loudly in the background, you could see smoke coming out of the computer.  As it is, vocal training has to be in a quiet environment.  It would be better if you were to get a copy of the audio voice and type it yourself, or read into a microphone and let the speech engine to write it.

    Hello EllieMae,

Thank you for posting.  It seems that your sound card device drivers could have had an error during installation.  You try to reinstall the device drivers for your sound card to possibly fix the problem.  You should be able to find any updated drivers for you computer to the manufacturer's support Web site.

  • You can create a test of calibration for speech recognition?

    Hello

I'm in love with the character animation! Thanks to the development of the latter.

I would like to make a suggestion for a feature - add some sort of calibration tool for the part of speech recognition, so talk to a range of phonetics and it maps the lip sync more accurately.

Is this something that can be done?

Also, I have a beard, and he keeps making my character smile while my mouth is not open. No work around for this (other than a shave?)

I have drawn, established, registered and made a lego man talk for 10 seconds in less than two hours this morning. If your development team wants a copy of my revision project files let me know, I am happy to share these for R & D purposes.

    Keep up your excellent work!

    see you soon,

    Brendan Cox

Hi Brendan... Thanks for the request. I connected it to our internal database.

For the issue of the beard... Could you try to adjust the light on your face? Does that help?

We'd love to see any work you have done. Feel free to me message directly with a Dropbox or similar link. Thank you!

my microphone is LX3000but I can not all the sounds of it, I try set up and he said that I was on, but no sound come by please can someone help me

The LX3000 is a USB microphone. If you are using a desktop computer, connect to a rear USB port.

Go to sound in the control panel. Click the recording tab. You should see a USB microphone in the list. See screenshot below. Highlight the USB microphone and set it as the default. Then click on properties and then the levels tab adjust the microphone level to 75%. Click on apply and then OK. Speak into the microphone, and you should see the green bars in the volume meter going up and down. This will mean that you're all set.

  • Does not meet the dictation but respond to speech recognition commands

When I use the program of recognition of Micrsoft, it recognizes all the commands in a very precise way but is completely insensitive to the dictation.

I have a Vista laptop, OS.  Speech recognition to work 100%.  My hard drive crashed, though recently.  I replaced and reinstalled the operating system and all programs and settings that came with it originally.  Everything else works except the dictation speech recognition feature.

I know that this is not a problem with my profile, system or settings of the sound or network of microphones.  It is not a problem with speech recognition recognizing my voice.  Orders of all the work, but when I try to dictate his only answer is "What was that?".

I tried new voice profiles.  I tried most training.  I tried the two selection and de-selection 'enable dictation everywhere '.  I tried to dictate with numerous Yahoo Messenger to programs - Word, Notepad, WordPad, Windows Messenger, Blogger.com, etc..

Someone at - it a way to solve this problem?

I noticed a few other threads with similar problems, but they seem to have answers that do me no good.  They are all things I've tried.

In fact it is more likely your microphone. The best microphones for speech recognition are close talk headset or portable microphones used 1/2 to 1 inch of his mouth. The sound card on your laptop can not be shielded and pick up electronic noises of in the computer case.

Orders are easily recognizable because they are part of a small limited vocabulary. Dictation using a broad vocabulary and must analyze through tens of thousands of words and to compare each word clues for context before and after.

A Russian Language Pack is available. However, the language packs are only for display of menus, dialog boxes and other user interface elements.

WSR, Windows speech recognition which includes the dictation commands and navigation of the user interface. Apparently, only the following languages are supported for WSR:

    English US

    UK English

    French

    Spanish

    German

    Japanese

    Chinese Traditional

    Chinese Simplified

  • French speech recognition on Windows ITO?

    Hi all

I developed a Windows 10 as a CEP application. This application uses speech recognition to the french language. Now, I would like to use this app with my raspberries FT2 and Windows ITO. But in fact, the speech recognition on Windows ITO only works for the English language.

Do you know if it is expected that the languages (such as french) are added on Windows ITO for speech recognition?

    Thanks for help.

  • Speech recognition is not all sounds during installation of the wizard.

Sound recorder works fine and I can record, save and play wav files.  CLS recognition requires all upward before use and the recording meter bar moves I read the sentence of the sample.  After that, I get the error that SR couldn't hear anything.  Help please.

    Hi BTKpickle,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forum.

There are several possible causes of the problem:

    ·         The microphone isn't close to capture your voice. Make sure that the microphone is positioned close enough and you speak directly into it.

    ·         The microphone is cut in. Some microphones have an external control for muting. Make sure that the mute control is disabled.

    ·         The microphone input level is too low. Make sure that the microphone input level is set correctly.

Entry level to adjust the microphone

    1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking Start , clicking onto Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking its.

    2. click on the recording tab.

    3. double-click on the microphone you are using speech recognition.

    4. click on the tab levels and then use the slider to adjust the entry level for your microphone.

    ·         The microphone connections are not properly attached. Make sure that microphone cables are intact and unbroken. The connections to the computer can be loose, so unplug the wires and reconnect them by ensuring that they fit.

    ·         A different microphone is selected to be used with speech recognition. If you have more than one microphone installed on your computer, that bad could be selected to be used with speech recognition. Make sure that you use the microphone selected for speech recognition.

Change which microphone is used with speech recognition

    1. Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking Start , clicking onto Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking its.

    2. click on the recording tab.

    3. Select the microphone that you want to use with speech recognition, and then click set as default.

Check the documentation that came with the microphone for additional troubleshooting information.

See if you are able to complete the installation wizard.

    Hello

Windows Vista comes with the speech recognition integrated program with which you will be able to work on the computer without using the keyboard or the mouse.

    Reference:

Unfortunately, you won't be able to connect using speech recognition. I suggest you use your favorite search engine to look for software that supports the feature.

    Hi memnoch,.

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forum.  I suggest that you check your system for corrupted files.  You use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files.  To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, clickStart, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    2. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
