Best way to resize a tiff grayscale 8 bits to look at a site

I have a line art in its original size tiff file is

512 x 485

I need to resize to approximately

300 x 284

When I resize the image, it is really noisy or grainy around the edges.  I could simply index and save for the web content as a gif file, but it seems a bit shit.  Someone has an idea of the best way to clean this file?  I have a good number of them he would not bother to redraw fundamentally new lines.  I'm looking for some kind of method to do this in cs4 with options, etc.

I decided to attach the file so you can see what I mean.

Thank you very much

Steve

The sample you posted is not grayscale is not surprising that you're having trouble, scaled to the required dimensions. Try to change the color mode to grayscale first, the scale of the image, then save for web as a GIF file - reduce the color palette to the least number of grays for the display of the image.

You want to keep the relationship between the width and height to be the same?

  • Best way to integrate the CC edge animate as short Intro for Web site

    Hi people,

I hope I'm in the right forum. I want to take a short animated introduction developed beachfront animate CC and use it as an intro to a Web site. I don't know how is the best way to integrate the animation. I published my animation film, and it works fine by itself. The site of course works fine by itself. But how do trigger you the animation to run from the index.htm page or how it normally does? I hope I'm being clear enough.

    Thanks in advance,

  • Best way to AutoResize resize fonts to text/etc on container label?

I looked around, but I can't really find any proper code for this.

What is the best way to resize a text field or label police to integrate into its container after resizing the container? that is a container is made smaller, and if the font size is too large, it makes the text field too big for its container it resizes until he goes.

Here is the code I have in place now: -.

    <mx:Canvas width="100%" height="100%" resize="">

  • the easier way to resize the image

    Hello
What is the best way to resize images? I searched the forum and search engines, only I found things was custome tags or components.

I don't have the part to know where I can use tags custome.

Can someone help me with this?

    Thanks in advance!

Some time ago I was looking for the same thing but could not find any solution that does not involve a component or a custom tag...
I ended up going with a custom tag called 'Jpegresize '. It works very well and is easy to implement and use.

  • Best way to combine the 8-bit and 16-bit image files?

I produce large photographic reproductions combining my own photo images modified RAW 16-bit with 8-bit stock photos and 8-bit of photoshop work. I used just reduce my photos from 16-bit to 8-bit and then change my image composite 8-bit, but I stumbled on the banding and other problems in the color gradients, I created later in my composite image.

I want my composite image at 16 bits to get more specific and better degraded colors. What is the best way to bring the image to 8-bit files in my composition and maintain the best quality? Is it good to convert images to 8-bit to 16-bit in PS, before you import it? I've also heard bringing 8-bit images as smart objects? Thanks for any help on this.

Even when there is no need to convert the document to the item in 16-bit mode is not.  If you need all the layers to adjust the image of the element to be light or mix better, it's better you have two choices. Do not open the file of the item in Place as a smart object layer and then open the embedded object and change the copy of your document.  Or open the target document element all the layers and then drag the document you are working on.

The second way would produce a larger file of the document then the smart object layer way. For all layers will be 16-bit color. When the layer of integrated dynamic object is a copy of an 8-bit image file only the composite made of pixels of the object is to convert 16-bit mode.  A smart object layers pixel is like a whose pixel raster layer cannot be changed only acted on.  To change the pixels, you need to open the embedded object and modify the object.

If you do not need the layer, you can simply drag into those that you need.  Yet once, there is no need to convert the document to the 16-bit mode, Photoshop element that will be in any copy of drag layers.

When you use Photoshop how to think or what Photoshop just make how he could do. Shortly after, you will have a better understanding of what is happening.

  • Resize VM - best way

I have a virtual machine running on a separate LUN which is like 100 GB are attributed to him, but the player C use only 20 GB, so I think to migrate the virtual machine to the smallest logical unit number.  If I do the migration of storage must match the size of the lun another aware that I don't want, so my question is what is the best way to reduce the size of the LUN? I must V2V and then resize the C:\drive? or y at - it another way to do this?  Thank you

If I understand your question and you want to resize the C: drive guests, see this discussion.  But, as said, if you want to reduce, it is better to use the converter.

  • Best way to share your photos - PSE 14?

What is the best way to share your photos?

When I consult with PSE 14 mode full screen, I see the full picture with captions.

    However:

    • Legends are not available in mode see the hand PDF Slide.
    • Create PDF Slide show mode, subtitles are available.
      • Howevever the full picture is not available. Most of the "themes" seem to cut the top and the bottom of certain images
      • And the themes seem to hijack images, rather than simply presenting the photos.

Would like to be able to capture and send the view from the mode full-screen as a PDF or something.

Still, what is the best way to share photos by e-mail?

    Thank you... Ron

We have all different ideas on sharing via "email address" and often features elements are not satisfactory for our purpose. You have perfectly described two features of pdf, share via the output to a pdf slide show (or video) or pdf.

Both are quick and easy, but there is no direct way to display captions with images full resolution and without transition effects.

You can use the function 'Print' with 'other options' Organizer configured to display captions, date... and specify one of many virtual printer drivers send the result to PDF instead of printing (standard in Windows 10). A quick and automated to produce a PDF without transitions and captions.

Or you can use a free, good software like Faststone resizer to prepare your output with more control over the size and position of the legend.

I have another problem: my use of the legends is such that I'm not all the legends that are shown, and I don't want each picture to have a caption (or title or date...) In fact, the text I want to appear on the pdf presentation would be specific to each image, with a different position depending on the image. It can be done with some work, and the result is much better.

When I want to share (I like Dropbox, but other storage cloud solutions are good), I choose my output size: (rare), HD TV screen full resolution or smaller. The Organizer, I do a resize a selection based on the height in pixels, then another resize a canvas based on the width, in pixels, with a black background. Can I edit the files individually to add text (not necessarily the legends) where I want to. It's the only job that requires little time, but the result is much better than including legends, both for the appearance of the text and the coherence of the story.

  • best way to reclaim the unused space in the data file

I just want to know the best way to recover unused space especially in oltp using oracle 11 g 2.

There are several options that you can consider.

    -alter table... move

    -alter table... retractable

    -Export / Import

    -Redefining online using the dbms_redefinition

    -resize datafile

According to the business and downtime, you have, you can consider on one of them.

A simple search on google with 'recover unused space' should give you all the procedures, the methods mentioned above.

  • What is the best way to move around in a document?

Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but what is the best way to move around in a document zoomed in?

The only method I have found so far is to slide with two fingers, which maintains the resizing of the document when it moves.

No hand tool? No way to zoom to 100%? No way to fill the screen with the document?

    Let me know, thanks.

    Hello

Panning is done with two fingers, that is you put two fingers on the screen, then move in the same direction.

You can also zoom by moving the fingers in the opposite direction, as when you zoom in.

    Thank you

  • Best way to deal with screen capture?

    Hello world

I have a lot of images captured with Snagit (computer screens). They will be printed in black and white.

I usually do the following: open the png file in Photoshop, select Convert to grayscale Mode and save it as PSD.

Generally, I get the results reasonably good in printed books (CMYK and n & W). [If I put the image I do usually only in Photoshop, but if the budget is tight, I do the scaling in Indesign]. I confess that I am not a very good "Photoshop" and I noticed that under Image-> adjustments there is a command to convert to B & W images.

I played a bit with this two options and I have concluded that the files obtained with this IVª of different shades of gray are a little different.

Can anyone advise me on the best method to use and the best way to do this kind of conversion in Photoshop. I'm on Windows using CS 5.5

    Thank you in advance.

    Maria

In fact, in Photoshop, black and white is really a neutralized RGB image - three channels balanced to have the appearance of a B & W photo. If you want the pixels that are either black or white, nothing else, a channel, you must convert it to Bitmap mode.

In the same way, "printing in black-and-white ad" is not accurate - you print in black and leave everything else without ink. To get gray you would use a halftone screen of a certain value.  I imagine that if you print monochrome (any single color, including black) you want to convert in grayscale, bitmap not mode. You might, however, want to use black and white conversion first, which lets you play with the sliders and set the contrast of the different colors in the screenshot to make the image as readable as possible, then convert it to grayscale. I prefer to use an adjustment layer for these adjustments, such as B & W, that can be done this way because it is more flexible and does not change the underlying image.

A consensus among users here who work a lot with screen capture is that you can scale to the ID and the results will be as good as scaling in Photoshop.

  • Best way to import text Microsoft Word?

Newbie question. I was importing Microsoft Word text using the Clipboard. In other words, I'm going to open up Microsoft Word, open my document, all select, copy and then go to InDesign and paste. InDesign me give a block of text with my text and I just resize the columns. The text is available in all weird, and I have to Stylize, of course. Sometimes I get some junk as nonbreaking characters and other hidden characters that screw me until I tell me what happens. My question is: what is the best way to import Microsoft Word text that will introduce mistakes least? Thank you.

Much better way to do this is to save your text as Doc, Docx or RTF. And use the file > command place in indesign to bring it. And if you check the Import Options in the same window where you choose a file, you can decide how you want to place your text - formatted, unformatted etc...
