Best workflow for the customer who wants to make changes of long text in Word

Maybe this isn't a question of InDesign itself, but I thought you'd be able to help me. I work with a client who is happier typing in Microsoft Word (Windows). I get his text as a Word document, I create the pages with InDesign, send them to PDF and then makes a change of text in the Word document and sent me the new file.

What is the best way for me to catch all the changes and bring them into InDesign properly?

Hello

-You can select a preference (which is disabled by default) that placed treaty text as link-, so that when the link is updated (IE your client makes changes to the word document), the link can be updated in Indesign.

However, if you change the text at the same time, your changes will be overwritten by the new incoming word document.

    These 3rd party services are free, they have a fast hosting, they work on all devices and browsers, and the customer can manage/edit video easily.

    I do a total makeover in an existing site and switch from GoLive to DW.  We had a need for the client to display rapidly changing information in a box on the home page, since the client isn't real "techno" I tried an easy solution.  What I have on the old site is an image I linked to Google Docs: he is editing a document on Google Docs and saving it, the link of the image I always points to a single document.

    It works fine, but I wonder if there is a better way to accomplish the task.  I have shell access to my Web host, so I peut play around the coast host if necessary.

    I created a custom field called 'qualified Date '. Our current workflow is at work,

    (PRE ("< SalesStage > '") <>[< SalesStage >]) AND (PRE ("< SalesStage >") = 'Lead')

    The goal is that whenever the opportunity is taken from the stage of lead, it is called.
    However, I don't want the full qualified date when a lead is moved to Closed/Lost.

    Any suggestions on how to change this workflow to make that happen.

    We have a similar workflow, and we use a slight variation of what has suggested Shilei.

    I would like to use method 1 because it gives you the flexibility of most.  While your known current requirements may dictate that it be necessary to call the cfc 100% of the time product you call customer support CFCs, something might happen in the future when it is not.  Method 2 would be ineffective because it running unnecessary code.

    I think that the Digital Photo Frame supports the 3:2 format.

    It's a format that is supported for analog cameras.

    I think that your photos are created in 3:4.

    So if you want to get a maximum photo resolution then you create pictures in the 3:2 format.

    For most all CAMS dig support such format and you can choose somewhere in the menu of the digital camera.

    All images are automatically resampled to based on the size of the folio you do. You can put in any image resolution you want, it's not serious.

    Using InDesign CS6 and Acrobat X (10.1.4)

    I created an interactive form 2 page with InDesign exported as an interactive PDF Acrobat applied fields scroll, names twisted the color of the text and fonts, etc.

    But now, I'm not sure of the best way for the form to have some updates that actually change the layout a bit, I think I have to work from the original InDesign file once again, but how to avoid having to recreate all the fields I added in Acrobat.

    Just trying to create an efficient workflow, start from scratch does not seem the best option.

    I made the spaces that contain the fields in the form of white rounded corners and shadows on a color background in order to consolidate the brand image, however all this in InDesign and I now "you wonder if it's a good idea.

    So now demand additional two drop-down lists and a medium additional field I have to adjust the design layout, I don't think that can be achieved in Acrobat.

    You can copy text from one PDf to another fields and retain all properties? Suppose so I set the background and copy the fields in place.

    Replacing the old pages with the new, it is how this situation is most commonly treated. It preserves not only the fields, but also other interactive elements that you have such as bookmarks and links. Any code at the level of the document, you add and document actions remain as well.

    Fields can be copied a page at a time, but before 11 Acrobat, are not glued in place, so you may need to do some repositioning. This generally results in the smallest file size, but can be tedious.

    Regarding everything in InDesign, CS6 can be implemented in the fields, but there are a number of limitations and bugs that reduces the usefulness of this feature. For example, to set the font for a field or add JavaScript actions.

    Unlike SSHRC, iRecruitment don't use workflow for all its transactions. Specifically, iRecruitment uses workflows for the following operations:

    * Offers (sending, outfit and applicant responses) - IRCOFFERWF
    * Vacancies (new and edit)-IRCWF
    * Registration ex-employee (IRCREGWF)

    I don't think that iRecruitment has a workflow for internal or external from the application process, although I think that there is a "workflow" OTA for any applicant who assessment during their application process.
