BigBrother remote tests going all purple

In our company, we have a windows 2000 Server to all our remote sites, these servers run the BigBrother (v4.40) client and report on a Linux server. Recently, we have moved to a new domain and after moving servers have had all their purple remote tests turn (just the tests running on the remote host, stuff like ping and ssh test the BB server still work fine). On some of these machines a reboot solved the problem and everything works fine, but on a few of them a few hours after restarting the reporting goes purple again. The really weird thing (at least for me) is that, when this happens if you try to launch bbntcfg.exe nothing opens, also simply restarting the service does not resolve the problem, it requires a reboot to be able to work again with the customer. I have attached a log file of one of these servers, on console shows purple upward to my Nov 14 02:07:22 2011 (and does not) but I don't see any errors in the log. Any help would be appreciated and thanks for your time.

For windows 2000 machines, Event Viewer windows open for Application, security, and system logs, follow these steps:

1. right click there on the left-> properties panel.

2. set the maximum size of the log to 512 K

3. click on OK

4. after the maximum size of 512 K log to the application, system, and security logs, restart the machine.

    The advice that seems to work more often with this kind of failure is to update your video drivers on the website of the manufacturer of your video card.

    When the view object query returns a line, the whole of the application works without error. When the query returns no rows, test (1) always bombs toward the top of the application, prompting a Houston-30003 error.

    With each of these events, I got an error of Houston-30003. It does not matter what looks like the conditional test; It is important only when the objects from view cache is empty. If the view cache is not empty, everything, including the test (1), works very well. And when the cache is empty is not because of the failure of the connection to the database, but because the student is not in the data table and line are for the student.

    It is a requirement of the company to do something when the view object query returns no rows. Can it be tested at all? How?

    What you have done, is to get a handle to the object that CAN execute queries to the database.
    However, you do not query the database.

    Just add:

      LoggedInStudentImpl studentsFound = (LoggedInStudentImpl)zblcam.getLoggedInStudent();
      //New line
      studentsFound.executeQuery();
    

    The code that Shay has given you is when you do not have a request for all module, but since you are talking about a command etc button I guess that the module of the application is already active.
    The line I gave you should be enough to make it work.

    I'd be careful with the

    studentsFound.hasNext();
    

    I suggest to use estimatedRowCount();

  • Recovery 1 vm rather than test them all in a file system?

    I have 3 files called fs1, fs2 and fs3 systems.  On each file system, there is a good assortment of protected virtual machine, like 11-20 of the VM.

    I need to resize the drive on one of our customers of windows server vm, and we did it all the time without problem.  But now that we have different without on our site of DR vs main site, we went to vsphere replication because it was independent of the storage.  Now we get the dreaded message that resizing disks are not based on replicated discs.  I can't believe that the system is not enough intelegent for this!  Looks like a simple clip to be able to resize a disk to give it more storage space.


    So now this virtual machine is on filesystem fs1.  I have to do a restore of test, which means I have to wait for 13 VM here to perform a final synchronization to come online on the website of DR when all I have to do is raise this one machine so I can clone, and then tear down the test session.

    I'm going by this document:

    In SRM when I go to Protection groups I can't just right click on the machine unique for a computer to test.  Its all or nothing.  Anyway this redesign?

    I think I've figured this out.

    I can remove the protection for this a machine in the fs1 protection group.  Delete the virtual machine for this protection group.  Create a new protection group and just put this virtual machine in it.  Then create a recovery plan and just put this protection in there group.  Then test this recovery plan.

    A lot of work around when the easiest thing would be for VMWare just to allow you to resize a disk and replicate this change on the network.

    When I can back up the virtual machine to the original protection group and basically to undo all changes.

Resource monitor shows me connected to a remote network, there are other IPS listed other than mine. I found a hidden desk top, with map of the network... including an android phone, a Tablet PC Input Panel with a foreign alphabet. There are many programs, I've never added to my PC. I find the hidden devices that are listed as part of a network, they do not belong to my PC. My modem has no Wy - Fy, or my router. I removed the ethernet cables... the power cord, monitor, keyboard and mouse. My modem has been disconnected from the external source and the router, but was still connected and powered on, all the lights were not on showing no connection. Very shortly, I saw the indicatator of DSL connection will begin to Flash. I unplugged the modem. A minute later, I heard the ping and the squeal to initialize an internet connection from my flat satellite receiver. When I checked my PC, he was very quietly running in stealth mode, apparently fleeing electricity drawn from the speakers I left wired. I'm sure you can tell just by reading that I don't know much about computers. This situation has worried me. Microsoft said that they fixed access points and it was clean from the virus and malware. Apparently it is not. I am at a loss. I will contact Microsoft Live again... I paid cover me 30 days it wil expire on 5 December. I guess that my cyber identity has been stolen. Is it me as a victim of identity theft? Should the technicians who worked on my computer could solve my problem to be hacked and stolen ID. I made a police report a few weeks, I was told it wasn't a crime unless I could prove identity theft, that was before I had no Service. Contact the FBI. Any help or advice or anything at all that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I don't know which forum to post in both, if I choose wrong... Please help to direct my concerns to where it can be treated... Thank you a lot =)

    The first thing you need to do is change ALL your passwords on all accounts - using a known machine - cleaning - and NOT connect to them with a mchine to which you think is infected.

    Then only you should undertake the cleaning of the machine.

  • Remote drive deletes all files except for one...

    I have a problem with one of my users.  On 40 employees perched at this place, it's the only happens.  It connects to a remote drive in another city, and we'll call it the T drive.  When we go to the T drive we see a long list of files.  At first she sees all files as well but sometimes he falls into a single folder on his screen.  This folder is a folder called Scans and inside this folder is a long list of employees at several sites.  When she opens this folder "T:\Scans" rather than see the long list, she can't see his name and files under it.  This seems to be a permissions problem, but if it stops and restarts the computer, everything is back to the way it should be.  This has been ongoing for some time and happens about once or twice a week.  The permissions would be set all the time and permissions on all of these files is 'Everyone', because these files must be available to all members of society.  There is another drive for secure files.

  • Laptop sleep/wake extended/turn off when I invite to screen goes all black

    So im havin a bit of trouble with my laptop. I disappeared for a month and so did not use my laptop during this period. When I got home and started using it, I encountered some problems. It was pretty slow, often freezing etc. So I made sure that I installed updates for my system while he was aware, ran for registry cleaning also programs.  She improved after that, but I sometimes encountered the following problem. When I invite my laptop to go into sleep/hibernation / stop all that happens is the screen goes black/towers, but the system is still running and wont turn off. Otherwise when I open my laptop from sleep/hibernation it starts, but all I get is a black screen, resulting in me having to manually close the system using the power switch. Else have this problem or know what's happening? Thanks for the help in advance.

    I was wondering, now that I discovered the benefits of eating of the resource, if it would be possible to have 2 shared resources, a local with common themes and images for several projects and another one, remote, containing projects together, i.e. the subjects and images, for collaboration purposes.

    The only local, I intend to use it for my purposes to have common points (topics & photos) update of all projects where they appear and the distance that I intend to use it with remote colleagues, who might want to make changes in the topics.

    This would mean that the topics and current photos will be present in the resources, one local as one remote.

    SVN is not a source control package?

    I'm not sure, but RoboHelp * MAY * be able to integrate with SVN to control projects and sharing.

    RoboHelp comes with RoboSource Control that could be used to provide the source code control. But if you already have a package in place, my thought is why reinvent the wheel? Simply use what is there.

  • Develop with ONLY a remote test site

    I tried to develop on a local Mac Tel computer with MySQL/PHP and it seems more trouble than it is worth. Running MySQL on Mac (Leopard) now is a problem, and even if it was ok, I still have problems with pages to test fine on my local machine, only to find PHP issues during the transition to the host. So my question is if there are problems with DW CS3 running and it works only against a remote development environment? Yes, it can be a little slower to load the remote file still during the test, but at least I'm assured I tested against a realistic test environment and don't have to worry about having a day environment (code system and application code) on a local computer.

    If you mean having a local site folder and setting the testing server info
    to your real remote host, it works perfectly except for the delays.

    But go to the dw preferences and make sure that "opening with temporary files" is
    enabled in the preview in the browser section. This way you will not "overwrite" real
    pages when you preview in the browser.

    IF you clear the device, (which you must do in your case), all your data remains safely in iCloud, assuming that you back up one more time before deleting.
