  I have no knowledge whatsoever about scripts, coding or automator. I continue to read discussions about the issue, but I don't understand them. It would be a great help for me if someone please explain how to create a kind of keyboard shortcut that changed the rotation of the screen (the own macbook screen, not an external) using automator and a script on a Macbook Air running OS X El Capitan 10.11.2.

  One option is to use the utility command line fb - turn in Automator service and assign a keyboard shortcut. Download the GitHub source fb-rotation, compilation, following the indications on GitHub and output the binary to usr; or download a binary compiled and move to usr/local/bin.

  Create an Automator service, set the options "Service receives no entry in any application", add an action to run the Shell Script and set the options as "Shell: / bin/bash ', ' Pass entry: to stdin.  Type the command rotation fb for the desired degree of orientation of the screen such as ' / usr/local/bin/fb-rotation - d 0 - r 180 ' 180 ° on the main screen. Register the service under a name.

  

  Go to  > System Preferences > keyboard > shortcuts > Services. Highlight the service you created, select it, click "none" and create a shortcut using a unique combination of keys. Create separate services of Automator for the additional screen orientations. Quit the system preferences when you are finished.

  I use the IMAQ game ringtone 2 vi to try to measure the rotation of a component in an image. (LabVIEW 2011)

  The input image consists of data collected from a laser profile scanner and is converted into a gray level image of 8 bits with the height information replacing the usual light intensity data. (This: http://www.micro-epsilon.co.uk/laser-scanner-profile-sensor/index.html)

  A copy of my raw image is attached.

  I did a little pre image processing before trying to match to the model, so face a binary image (just 0 and 255) in central France on the image. (assuming that this will make easier?)

  I enclose also two pictures with the KING of the superimposed pattern match. The two images are different screenshots to a stationary object, so the pattern match must be in an identical position, but it is not, therefore a change of 1.6 degrees is reported when the object remained stationary.

  Anyone has any advice on how to implement the pattern match algorithm to be a little more consistent and reproducible?

  The settings that I currently use are:

  Learn the model, the learning mode = All

  Match, sub pixel accuracy of installation is true, match = indifferent rotation mode, ranges of angle of rotation =-10 + 10

  I suspect the binary conversion is complicating, not easier.  It depends really on the functioning of the algorithm.

  What it looks like when the game turns?  Based on the image, it seems that there is some problems of perspective that you will have to deal with.  I'd be interested to see what an original image of the room even turned a known, maybe 30 degree angle.  The form remains the same?

  If the binary form is still the same after rotation (perfect), I would consider using the binary research and analysis instead of filtering.  I seem to remember a few tools to measure several properties of a binary image that can be used to determine the rotation of the object.

  If the binary is not the same, the manipulation of the original image may solve the problem.  I think that if you resampled the image and increase the resolution to make the circular bottom ovals (assuming they really are circles), you could then measure rotation accurately.  I still consider the binary tools in this case.

  I searched and I can't find a simular solution to this issue, so I hope that somone can help me. It's probably pretty simple, but as I'm new to Labview, it takes time to get used to the programming language.

  I have a rotary switch with 16 positions made-to-measure. The valve has 5 inductive sensors, mounted on a turntable of the holes drilled for the positions.

  With 4 sensors, there is a binary code, created for 16 positions.

  The fifth sensor is (1) when the water is rotating and (0) when the valve is in the position.

  What I build with LV is a surveillance system for this valve.

  How can I use the 5 digital inputs (simulated with Boolean switch) in labview and convert a digital indicator for the position of the valve?

• Disabling automatic rotation

  Hello, I'm repurposing a tx2500 series machine to be a small Center of television and the media. However, I find nowhere to turn off automatic rotation by turning the lid of the portable computer in tablet mode. The spin on the front button works fine, and the screen turns as expected... I like to keep the abilitly to turn with the front button, but not the screen to turn simply by turning the lid. The computer is running Windows 7, and I checked every possible place I can think, but not luck. It seems that everyone wants to do the opposite of what I'm trying to do!

  It seems that I solved the problem with a bit of experimentation. I first updated to the latest drivers directly from ATI, Radeon HD 3200. Then I looked in the registry for the term "rotation". I found a HKCU\Software\hewlett-Packard HP key buttons to quick launch that contains a binary value named 'EnableModeChange '. The value has been set to 1, so I set to 0 and rebooted. Now, it does exactly what I want.

  I suspect that the material for the cover and bezel button use the same parameters, "presses" just cover it for the user. I didn't put back to 1 to see if it is indeed the case, but that's what I was looking for.

  Hi all, I hope someone can shed some light on a problem I encounter.  We rotated CF6/CF7/CF8 successively on several different versions of Oracle.  I've been storing binary files in the database and retrieve it without any problem.  I do it like this (an example, pretend it's within a cffunction):

  Until the last update of Oracle I could do < cfdump var = #returnStruct # > and see if binary is stored.  Now, when I do a cfdump I get an empty string--not even a binary file.  When I run the query on the database itself I always get the BLOB so it's something between CF and Oracle which does not play well.  I have no chance of finding anyone else with this problem.  I don't know the version of the Oracle patch (I asked so I should know soon), but it's something recent to 11g.

  If anyone has any ideas or tasks that I am doing wrong, please let me know.  I do this for many years so I don't know how else to do it.  Thank you!

  I just heard of another team with the same problem and found the fix.  ColdFusion needs a driver update.  The Oracle 11.2.0.3 update will not ColdFusion retrieve binary data without updating the drivers of ColdFusion.  I hope this information helps someone.

  I had a problem with the rotation of the screen under macOS Sierra function. As the screen rotates, there is an error that pop up and later that I'm unable to get into system-> Display Preferences. It is for me a "mistake preferably: County not load display preferences" message and I was unable to rotate the screen back. I started from the system in safe mode and temporarily solved the problem. But if I want to rotate the screen again, it pops up the same error again. I was using the rotation function pretty well in OS X El Capitan. But since I updated to macOS Sierra, I had this problem.

  I wanted to know if there is a lasting solution to this problem.

  I'm using macOS Sierra on MacBook (13-inch, early 2015) Air with processor 1.6 Ghz Intel Core i5 and 8 GB memory DDR3 at 1600 MHz with 128 GB of storage.

  Great job to test mode without failure. In Safe Mode disables most of the third-party services, it could be a compatibility problem with an application that you have. Check out this article:

  You can not hold account that the title suggests it's to El Capitan. It applies to macOS Sierra as well.

• Function of more limited rotation on imac than the iphone!

  I just realized that the edit > function of rotation is more limited on Photos/imac compared on my iphone.

  It is surely not good! On my 27 inch screen it only allows me to rotate 90 degrees, but on the iphone I can adjust to any angle that I wish, and it also gives a grid to help align things.

  Maybe it's a setting I'm missing - otherwise I find it's a huge gap for not being able to properly rotate the photos on my imac.

  Start simple with a reset. Press and hold the home and power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release the two fingers. Wait for your iPad to begin on its own.

  Not all screens will rotate from portrait to landscape. Are you sure that it is a screen that turns? If you are, make sure that the orientation lock is not on. Go to the control center and the lock is the last icon in the top row. If it is white, it is on, black and turned off. You can turn on and back it was off. You can also do a reset on the phone.
