  • Qualcomm AR9485 Atheros Wifi card driver updates?

    I have a laptop of HP2000 running Windows 8.1

I was hoping an update for this network card because I had problems with connectivity network for several weeks and several times the windows diagnostic resets this network adapter.

I get the notice via HPSA that there (2) updates to this network adapter.   I can download updates, but the installation failed on both and I don't know why or where to look to find out why.  Study now has me completely confused.  Here is what is currently installed on my laptop:

    Qualcomm-Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi AR9485 adapt

    SoftPaq number: SP65428

    Driver date: 12/11/2013

    Driver version: 10.0.0.274 (1.00Ap7)

This update of the driver was JUST installed on 14/04/2014 (3 weeks)

Here is the info on what HPSA watch are updated for this card-

Important updates, note first received Saturday, April 26, 2014

Updates download but would not install.

    * Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 series Wireless LAN Driver for MS Windows

    SoftPaq number: SP63802

    Version: 1.00Ap21

    Size: 73.89

    * Qualcomm AR9000 Atheros Wireless LAN Driver for MS Windows 8 series

    SoftPaq number: SP62425

    Version: 1.00Ap17

    Size: 38,27 MB

(research on hp.com for SP62425 the date this update 26/06/2013)

Both of these driver updates seem to be more OLD than what I currently installed?

If I go My HP account have my system scanned for updates, the SP65428 I have already installed is displayed. Neither HPSA showing that I should install appear on my updates.

I guess the question I have now, it is what is the most current, correct pilot and working for AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter?

And if that's what I have already installed it, why I received this notice am updates HPSA?

    Thank you.

By a post elsewhere in the Forums of HP, current updated driver are available at http://www.station-drivers.com/ .

    I downloaded and installed

    Version: 10.0.0.287

    Published 25/03/2014

and from this moment, everything seems to work properly.

I would still like someone to confirm that it is suitable for the AR9000 Qualcomm Atheros driver series network adapter for Windows 8.1.  And if I NOW the current driver is there a glitch in HPSA to send assignments to update driver irrelevant?

    Thank you!

  • Updated the Windows 10 Qualcomm AR9485 Atheros Wifi Card Driver

Currently, I encounter a similar problem with my HP Envy 17 Qualcomm AR9485 Atheros wifi adapter. The ethernet connection works but not WiFi. I can only connect to wifi after I immediatnly reset my router. All other devices work with the router. If the HP Envy 17 goes to sleep or stay on for an extened period, it disconnects and is not able to reconnect to my network. I had a similar problem to connect to another wireless network.  I've updated, restored, disabled and reinstalled the drivers from the adapter to any wifi avil. I returned at various points system retore. I tried everything except uninstall Windows 10. The HP Envy 17 is longer under warranty. At this point, should I open the laptop and replace the wifi card, or is there something that I have not tried?

Thanks much for the reply, EmeraldAvenger. Yes, I tried all of your suggestions. It was never a red X in Device Manager. I tried different sleep mode power options and channels (1-11) on the router settings. I have reset the BIOS. I even contacted my ISP, who assured me that the issue was with my laptop, not the connection. The only way I could solve this problem was to remove the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter and replace it with the wifi Intel 7260 inside my laptop adapter. I had no problem since since the swap. In fact, my connection is now faster and more reliable. I suggest to all who encounter this problem to just go ahead and replace the Atheros AR9485 Qualcomm. It is unforunate that HP has saddled 17 envy with this apparently faulty piece of equipment, but they have several useful videos on their support site to guide users how to disassemble their laptop.

  • HP 14 laptop: how to replace the QCA9565 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter

    Hello

I have a laptop HP 14 which is currently used for academic purposes. However, at the school, the WiFi is dual band, and so I can't connect.  At the moment I have a QCA9565 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter and I am aware that is not double band. So is it possible to replace the current single band with a dual band adapter? Is it is possible to replace the card, then you have suggestions of what to buy and how to install the product in my book. If there is a free alternative, please keep me informed.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey @Raiyan1 ,

Here is a link to page 31 of your manual . The Wifi card is a mini map 1 x 1.

  • Pavilion 1009TX M6: Broadcom 4313GN 1 x 1 adapter Wi - Fi 802.11b/g/n cannot connect to Wi - Fi

    Hi all

I have this laptop from HP Pavilion M6 1009tx. Since I bought it 3 years ago, I was faced with the question of the laptop will not connect to my WiFi automatically when I turn it on. It happens that 7 of the 10 times I would say. Sometimes it connects all rite away but above all he does not connect even if I try to connect to the available network manually.

I then try to reboot several times as well as to try to connect to the WiFi manually, if I'm lucky it will connect, otherwise I have to keep restarting. The adapter doesnot connect even when I disable and enable (Broadcom 4313GN 1 x 1 adapter Wi - Fi 802.11b/g/n).

In the year of punch he used to connect whenever I plugged it manually, but now I try several times for sure.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @NSIDHU ,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook m6-1009tx and falling wireless signal. I would change the channel on the router. Routers are able to communicate to your laptop on several different channels, and sometimes it helps.

You could disable IPv6 for the laptop. Some say this helps. Restart the computer after trying this.

Solve this problem Microsoft Fix it 50413.

Here is a linkto help as well.

Please let me know how it goes.

I can't get the internal WIFI to work! I wiped the day the first HARD drive and reinstalled a fresh XP Pro SP2. I manually installed all drivers except toshiba machine has not properly categorized them. Does anyone have a link for the real for L35-S1054 Atheros wifi driver?

    And thank you!

    Hello

The discussion is a little confuse
Have you checked the Device Manager and checked her if the Wlan card driver has been correctly installed? Check it out.

But back to the root. The device seems to be a mobile American. I put t know if the American notebooks come with drivers CD or not, but normally you should have the drivers on the support. If this isn't the case, then the image of Toshiba contains options for creating a CD of drivers and tools clean.

The laptop with Atheros Wlan card supports also an Atheros Wlan client utility.
This sets up the WiFi connection. You have 2 options. You will use the clean Windows configuration or you will disable her and use Atheros client utility.

But in a first time, you must activate the Wlan with the switch on the side of the laptop and the Fn + F8 key combination

  • Want to m6-1105dx: editing adapter Wifi, replacing Atheros AR5B125 (something better). Adapter / compatible?

Hi, need a m6-1105dx with a map of wifi Atheros AR5B125. need to upgrade the card for best wifi speeds and enjoy my Airport extreme 5 GHz band. Product # to the laptop: C2L91UA. I am running windows 10. So, what most recent wifi adapters and will be compatible with this system?

    Thank you

Sorry to say (as always) but it is the 'white list' HP and the system works only with certain very specific wifi cards. These are the only ones from the Manual:

    Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 adapter and 1 × 1 9485GN 3012 655795-001

    Atheros 802.11b/g/n adapter Bluetooth 675794-001 1 × 1 WB225

    Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 20702 4.0 Combo Adapter 657325-001 1 × 1

    Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 WLAN module 670691-001

MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi and Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0 adapter adapter 710418-001

    RALink RT5390R wireless 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 691415-001 adapter

    RALink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001 1 × 1

Atheros AR9565 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter for use only on the computer with a processor Intel 690019-001 models

That fat would be OK, but it's a typo. If you are looking for this part number, it's a much smaller card. Yet once again, I'm sorry, but this is a feature of HP had for years in order to comply with the laws of the Federal communication.

  • Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b109wm: Mini pcie

Im trying to find out if this computer has a witelist for my network card. Initially, it came with windows 8 installed on it now I am running windows 10. I looked at and see older laptops with whitelist, built into the bios. My computer seems to boot UEFI bios, as it is the only way to get into the bios, I know. My current card is AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter it just don't cut the highest speed I get are on 55mbps. I have other pieces of equipment using 802.11 AC and speeds are more than 160 Mbit/s. The HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15 - b109wm Sleekbook there a whitelist and if so what is the best or the simplest work around? I looked at the manual and it shows 3 different maps, but none of them are compatible 5 GHz I believe that when this laptop was built not as popular 5Ghzwas and 802.11 AC did not exist. Any input?  The HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15 - b109wm Sleekbook there a whitelist and if so what is the best or the simplest work around?

    Hello:

He shouldn't have a whitelist, as HP stop this practice more than 2 years ago.

However, your mobile PC is an AMD processor and chipset, so you would be limited to use a double band Broadcom dual band N or map of the AC.

9 times out of 10 an Intel wireless network card will not work in a notebook with AMD hardware, and there is no way I'd be able to tell you if an Intel card would work in your computer laptop or not.

  • Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802 .11b: g:n WiFi adapter

I have a HP Envy dv6 Notebook PC, model No.2CE243OCYT.  It has an adapter for WiFi Atheros 802.11 AR9485 b:g:n. There is an update of HP of the card, but when I updated, I was unable to connect to the internet. I realize that this WiFi adapter is only 2. 5. g I had to update my laptop, then I got access to the internet again. I have not tried again this update of the driver, but just put TWC to update my cable modem to dual band by using the strips of 2.5 G and 5G.

I'm afraid to install the Atheros update in my lapotop once again because I don't want to go to parrir the hassle of re - install all my software pd [posed again.

Y at - it a HP dual band WiFi adapter is recommended, and it is easy to install?

    Thank you

Laptops are as you order them or buy them as ready to ship models. They are not generally considered to be extensible to all. You can switch from desktop computers in general as much as the platform of the motherboard and BIOS allow.

Not as far as I know, HP makes no recommendataions on laptops and usb adapters.

Just do a search online with Googl, Bing or your search engine favoriteb for major brands such as ASUS, Linksys and Netgear. Check the reviews of the candidates you find and make sure they include drivers for the operating system that you have in your laptop. NewEgg.com is a good website to csome comparison shopping.

IF you want wifi nextgen features in the usb adapter and the chance to have a router nextgen with 802.11ac capacity of 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz, then looking for the one that many people recommend.

  • Pavilion Touchsmart 15-b129wm: drivers Bluetooth not updated

    Hello

It's on my computer laptop bluetooth. Given that I've upgraded to Windows 10 bluetooth driver is not detected by Device Manager and it seems that Mediatek has not updated their software Ralink for Windows (at least for my PC) 10. Windows 10 settings page shows no turning bluetooth power options. I have tried to reset my pc but lost all my apps and also hp Recovery Manager has been lost. I also downloaded Qualcomm-Atheros bluetooth drivers (since I wasn't sure of the hardware version of my PC). Always bluetooth does not work. The idea of reset was given by a representative of hp service in the online chat system. I would be grateful if someone comes up with a good fix tested since I need blutooth to use my bluetooth headset.

    Hello:

I see your screenshot that your laptop has a wireless Atheros 9485 card.

This card is a single band with no radio bluetooth wireless card.

Here is the link to the product for your laptop.  He also confirmed that your laptop does not come with built-in bluetooth, or this feature should have been included as well as wireless WLAN 802.11b/g/n 1 x 1 specifications.

  • HP Pavilion Touchsmart kept Sound disappears after installation and reinstalling the drivers

I have a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 14-B132TX Sleekbook. My sound disappeared while I was using it a month ago. I called the HP Hotline and Technical Support told me just uninstall it from the Device Manager and when restarted, automatically installs the driver. What I did.

The sound came back but still once he disappeared after about 15 minutes of use, so I called tech support again and they gave me links to HP support for drivers to download and install which I did and rebooted the computer and the sound came back again. BUT again, the noise has disappeared. I called tech support and they just do a system restore which I did and the sound came back again. But he disappeared again after all just 7 minutes of use.

These are the drivers, I installed from the HP Web site: sp60642, sp64082, sp60464 and sp64031. After reinstalling the drivers. I cleaned my laptop with CCleaner and went to HP Support Assistant in the hope of getting a solution, there was a statement here to download the QUALCOMM Atheros driver and I installed again the driver said... The sound has come back after rebooting. AND again, he has disappeared after just using the laptop for about 3 minutes. (it gets worse!.) This laptop is quite new, he just bought 10 months ago. What is going on? Please help me. I use the Windows 8 operating system. PLEASE HELP ME.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

After that you may or may not need to remove and reload the sound driver - if you do, how to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the drivers and software is detailed in the document at the link below.

    Recovery Manager - Windows 8.

  • Qualcomm, atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n wifi adapter problem

Hi, if I can connect to the internet, but after a bit, I'm disconnected from the network. When I have the Troubleshoot, it indicates that there is a problem with my card. It is not a problem with my network as all other devices work correctly.

I use Windows 8; my laptop is a Pavilion dv6 - 3284ca; my wifi adapter is qualcomm, atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n wifi adapt

Let me know if you need more information.

You can try a USB wireless adapter. If it works, which will restrict the cause root. If it doesn't, it will restrict the issue to a conclusion. There is not a lot of troubleshooting on the left that you don't want to, so I think that an adapter is a good idea.

  • Pavilion Touchsmart 23: Pavilion 23 Touchsmart screen dim after sleep Windows 10

    Pavilion Touchsmart 23 all-in-One model f339

    AMD Radeon HD D 8670

My screen is too dark, after that the computer "wakes up" fashion "sleep" I can read only now my face one inch away. Reboot brings the brightness back to normal, only to happen again the next time that the computer sleeps. This has only started happening since the upgrade of Windows 8 to 10 of Windows.

    -All drivers are up-to-date

    -All Windows updates are up-to-date

-There is no brightness slider in power options

-I have no brightness control on my keyboard

Please help me solve this problem, so I don't have to go back to Windows 8! Thank you in advance.

I think I might have made some progress with this problem. I had a friend call me and he suffered from these same questions. The partial solution (and probably most) I've discovered is that there is a critical update of the BIOS that had not been done. Because Windows 10 was already installed, it didn't appear on the page to Support HP or HP update software. The way I had the time it was to say the HP website that I had Windows 8.1. The update then appeared. I downloaded the BIOS for its model was last updated and installed. (BTW: it worked great in Windows 10). Once I've upgraded, the dark screen problem has been resolved. However, as long as the screen saver, night light or auto Hibernate still does not work. You can manually put the computer to sleep via a button or the start menu, and he returned very well. His was an AMD based all-in-one and I don't remember not if someone had problems with the Intel based platforms.

So, to summarize... If you have not installed 10 still make sure you BIOS update first. If you have goto, the Web site and enter your model. Replace the Windows 8.1 operating system. Download and install.

If anyone has more of an insight, please answer others to take advantage. Good luck and enjoy Windows 10. And if anyone has a solution for the problem of sleep/sleep/screensaver please respond.
