BIOS help!

I tried to go on quickweb recently, but he said that my BIOS is damaged or missing? The error was number 501. I can still access my account to administrator of property.  But now it is very slow and sometimes it appears that the blue screen saying that it must close because of something... I also tried to update with HP support assistant, but they show no updated BIOS. I also went to the HP site and they scanned my laptop, but nothing jumped to BIOS! Someone please help!

What is the exact model of your laptop?
NOTE: Do not provide the serial number.

It doesn't look like BIOS is missing or corrupted so as the QuickWeb software since you can get in your main Windows account.

Go to start then computer. Is there a drive labeled as HP_Tools?

If your laptop is QuickWeb 3.0 or higher, you can try to install in the HP Recovery Manager.

In Windows, click Start and look for the Recovery Manager. Open the recovery of the results Manager.

Once there, select the reinstall the software.

Search for HP QuickWeb in the list.
Select that item, and then select Install.

Once the process is complete, try to start in QuickWeb to see if you get the same error.

  • Sucks TC-605 BIOS HELP!

Hello everyone, I need some serious help. Yesterday by updating my PC, I searched the Acer site and saw a BIOS update for my model. I downloaded and it seemed very confusing to me. I decided to not update, later, my uncle came and said that he knew how to do. Long story short, after that he did my Acer won't start, I press the power button, I get a short beep and the HARD drive lights flashes for a second, then black screen only. Anyone with any help much appreciated.   SYSTEM SPECS: Aspire Asus pro TC - 605 - UR2S Windows 10 GT 630

As I said earlier, if you initially had Windows 7, then your BIOS was in legacy mode (secure boot disabled, csm launch set to 'always'.

If you need to go to the BIOS settings and disable secure boot and change the 'csm launch' forever.  Or start secured bare minimum disable.  It might possibly work with CSM launch set to never, but I'm not.

The link below explains all.  You can use the P11. B4, but P11. B4 is for computers that came pre-installed with Windows 8,8.1 and 10... but given that your computer came pre-installed with Windows 7 you need to understand the difference between legacy mode and mode default EFI and you must understand the difference between a partition MBR one style vs style of GPT partition, if you want to use P11. B4 on a computer that came pre-installed with Windows 7.  If you do not understand these things, then it is preferable for you to use P21.xx.

You can re - install Windows 10 in EFI mode, which would be much more secure, but you must completely wipe your drive first, if you want to do.

  • My office is bricked? BIOS help

    Nice day

I recently got a HP Pavilion Media Center a1637c desktop PC

Apparently bricks/FUBAR unit, because the keyboard and the mouse probably supporting Pre-os seems to be completely kaput.

To be precise, the keyboard (ps/2) gets power, it's the lights blink a couple times when I turn on the computer, it - can - get into the BIOS Setup, but no details.

I guess that USB support is disabled because my USB keyboard has given no sign of life at this point.

He would have finished it if I didn't think it would work properly if an operating system, in this case a distro linux without a name started with a CD (hard drive removed to go directly to the boot of CD player, because it has been deleted before obtainance) authorizes my keyboards, ps/2 and USB work fine.

So, fast forward to now and why I'm typing this, I tried many things, reset the CMOS to shout curses in front of my computer, nothing worked, I guess that the motherboard is fried, if it wasn't for the fact that all devices work perfectly once control of an operating system is not being...

So I thought what the previous owner did something terribly wrong and the BIOS might just need to be reinstalled.

Now, I found downloads on the main site, but what they offer is a windows-based update, this computer has nothing to do with the one who needs it, I found no way to simply upload the files to create a disk for my HP desktop computer, the program that I downloaded from this site gives me two thousand warnings and generally States that he will actually destroy my computer instead of me give an option 'Download now' including the mentioned page would grant me my files.

I am doing something wrong with the exe found here?
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-56162-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&...

Or is the download option a terrible lie?

See I can't use the windows utility because I do not have windows and I can't install windows because that the utility could fix just is what would allow me to get windows. Nice huh?

Thank you for reading this wall, I'm not known for brevity.

    It's done.

Used the ASUS flasher and 3.10 of the site file.

Successful, update does not solve my problem, past too long at the HP splash screen so I think that the power supply could also have a problem, at this point I just stripped of everything and she dumped.

Well I walk more knowledgeable, with a DVD burner and a DVD player, free of charge.

Thanks old man for the supply of good help.

Both and RAM was not compatible with my other workstations...

  • Laptop does not charger and cannot get into the Bios, help!

Hi, I own an Acer Aspire 6935 G, so far he treated me so. Recently, the charger port broken (one of the wires came loose). I have brought a replacement and mounted in it, but on my charger fuse blew!

Then I took another replacement just to the case where there has been previous replacement I bought and nothing major, new replacement seems to work well (lighs load lights up) but it does not all power in the laptop. Witnesses of load lights as indicated, but the laptop won't before the Acer splash screen. Due to the battery being dead, I can't access bios set up so I can check the status of my laptop not enter recovery. I was wondering if it could be something other than a hardware problem, and if this is the case; It is expensive to do is fixed or am I better off buying a new laptop?

    Thanks in advance!

    This is a:

    Acer Aspire

    6935G

    Intel Core DuoT6400

    4 GB OF RAM

    Windows 7 Ultimate

Edit: There is think beep when the chargers plugged into the lapto, if that makes a difference?

Lugman > recently, the charger port broken (one of the wires came loose). I have brought a replacement and mounted in it, but blew the fuse on my charger! >>>

Sorry, but it does look like a hardware problem. Sounds like the power supply may be about to blow another fuse. I think you have a short or large scale electric leakage somewhere that prevents charging of the battery and power - it but maybe not enough (yet) to blow another fuse or switch off the LEDs.

First remove the battery and power connections before you tear things. The first place I would look is around the port of loading where your problems started and hope that it's not deeper in the system where it can cause some MB or more serious damage. Look for the places where the lines of welding on the System Board may be in contact with a screw or a metal on the ground. While you're there, reconnect both ends of all accessible Ribbon (like the video and keyboard) connectors. Also to the HARD drive, modules of memory vivid and all the other connectors for component for good measure.

Once you have checked everything, and before you have wound all caches and screws, see if you can carefully insert the battery into the receptacle and plug the charger. Don't try to power. You can do this on an insulating surface to avoid the land of naked drivers. The LED light looks like he is in charge? If so, let it continue to charge without trying to power on. I think after 4-5 hours, the led that would indicate a fully charged battery. If so, I would try and then power on. If not, and it's still seems to be in charge, stop, do not try to and we will draw the next steps.

  • Satellite A660-18 - screen too bright if the update to the BIOS?

Hi guys, I need your help with this laptop because it gives me a lot of problems.

I changed the screen of this Satellite A660-18 because one had been installed has been damaged. I installed and works fine but I have problems with the brightness. When I click - on brightness, it goes back and when I click on + it breaks down. It is much too bright and want to do something about it.

Bios help to solve this problem and how Flash the BIOS on these laptops? I flashed the BIOS on desktop pc but on that I don't see any way to do it. Is it possible to fix the screen without changing the BIOS? Some have said that I have to Flash the BIOS as new screens do not work 100% with old BIOS.

    Help, please

    Thank you

    Hi sky blue,

You have an original spare part of Toshiba (display) or is it a 3rd party screen? It is important to use the Toshiba spare parts only because they are tested and designed for your Toshiba laptop. If you use 3rd party parts, they may not work.

The version of the BIOS has nothing to with the brightness of the display and the brightness of the display can be changed with the key FN + F6/F7 combination, but not in the BIOS.

  • Re: Satellite L735-158 - black screen in BIOS update

    Hi all

I have not found a solution to my problem anywhere, so I'll try here.
I was going to update the Bios on a Satellite L735-158.
I went to the Toshiba´s website, downloaded and follow the instructions... but the app. 15 seconds after double-clicking on the file of orders... some sort of sign of error came.

The computer "locked" and then the screen is dead.
When I turn on and off with the switch, I can clearly hear the computer works (although strangely), but the screen is dead.

    Can anyone here help?

    Thank you
    G

Of course the EPROM module where the BIOS is stored was not flashed properly.
Something went wrong during the update of the BIOS and the module is bad.
I suppose that the update procedure using the special crisis disk BIOS help you solve the problem.

But in most cases this procedure must be done by Toshiba ASP.

Alternatively, you can search the forum for a few similar discussions on the crisis disk BIOS here.
Some users where it is able to solve this problem by using some 3rd party disk but it doesn't always work.

So is probably that you last chance to repair the ASP from Toshiba

  • HP ENVY 17-n013na: the Legacy BIOS boot option does not work

    Support dear HP team,

I recently bought for laptop HP ENVY 17-n013na .  It came with Windows 8.1. I have to install Windows 7. Unfortunately, the legacy in BIOS boot option does not work for me. Here is detailed information:

    BIOS version: F.04 Rev 5.0

I tried updating to the latest version of the BIOS on the Support site.

To activate the option to boot legacy, I followed the following steps:

    • Entered, BIOS configuration utility
    • Go to the System Configuration
    • > Boot options
    • Changed the setting to the Legacy Support on " Enabled"
    • F10 - save changes & exit

Now, after the restart, if I go once more, configuration of the BIOS Legacy Support is set to disabled. Whenever I have change to active BIOS, Save & Exit, it is up to the people with reduced mobility. Because of that I can't run the installer of Windows 7 DVD.

Please provide any help & suggestions.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Eugene

  • On Satellite C660-1J2 keyboard problems

I have 2 laptops from Toshiba, type Satellite C660-1J2 used by 2 different people and we both have the same problem.
The problem is with typing, many times it jumps a letter and sometimes a letter not to show, and then when you hit it again you get 2 letters and sometimes just get 2 letters to hit once.

We tested it and it's a real big problem for us, because we use it for school...

  • Jump the cursor to Satellite P300

First of all, I am a new Member and I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, or if this issue has been addressed. A search led me to another post which dealt with matters that did not help my problem. If I missed something here that you please tell me the good post.

My problem is with my new keyboard to laptop computers. I recently bought a P300 (PSPCCC - 06101C) to Canada before moved me to the Philippines. It came with Vista home premium 64-bit. I had a real Vista Ultimate CD and installed without a problem but it is the 32-bit version so I lost some performance, but nothing noticeable real. Since I installed Windows 7 32-bit also without any problems. Using the 3 BONES that I had the same problem keyboard. The problem is when I type the cursor will be jumping to another area of the body of text and a few times to a different text box. For example I might be typing in a text box, such as those that I am now and the cursor will be moves towards the middle of the paragraph or in the google search text box. It is very annoying because of the many corrections to be made while typing.

I have not been able to pin point the problem to a specific key, but I think it's one on the left as the SHIFT key down or maybe even the space bar. I tried to change the locale for the keyboard, but that did not help. I read that I have updated the bios helped with some Toshiba keyboard problems but to get an update, I have to reinstall the original Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I am not prepared to do that if I have to live with this problem of keyboard or is there an easier way to install Vista 64-bit or even a new keyboard.
You can contact me directly if you know a cure. [email protected]

    Thank you

Before you start writing emails or else disable touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination.
Maybe you accidentally touch it while typing, and the cursor will be moved to another place in the writing area.

  • Fanspeed went the Satellite Pro A200

    Hallo,

the fan speed increases after bios update. I'm not the only one, but all others have the same problem or not? The fan runs every 30 seconds of high level, too strong. In addition, I went outside and again, the fan works every 30 seconds. SpeedFan said that two hearts are on 10 C. So why does the fan work? After checking the toshiba power management, I changed battery. But this view has not helped. The fan runs again every 30 seconds, but the fan speed does not detect a fun Temperation. The two nuclei of 30 c to surf and send. And another fact is that I want to use carrots for 2 GHz and not 800 Mhz (utility). Change cooling EIB defragmentation method and the intel utlity says 800 Mhz to 2 GHz! It seems that the method liminized toshiba carrots at 800 Mhz?

If there is a chance to roll back the bios, please help me. Or if there is a guy from toshiba, so please tell the BIOS programmers! In addition, my olders toshibas allowes to control the speed of the fan by the bios or software (fanspeed), why does'nt the satellite pro A200? The fan is too strong tension and the offset of the Temperation is at bottom.

Please another you experiences, even, you have no solution for the problem.

    Bye - Daniel

(installed under Vista Ultimate system, all new packages of windows and toshiba)

After 45 minutes in battery operation, the R600 go for hibernation (hibernation is sought, in this doesn´t mode it needs battery power).

We insist a few seconds button / stop to turn off the portege.
