  Hi guys,.

  I accidentally deleted BISystem role of Application of Console. But, went through couple of posts and recreated the Application role, and characterized by the BISystemUser to the role.

  In short, I did the procedure below.

  1. stop BI Service

  2. create a role and a member with the user BISystem

  3. Add the policy to the role

  •Oracle.bi.Scheduler.manageJobs

  •Oracle.bi.Server.queryUserPopulation, it not appear in the list you can add it manually using following parameter

  permission class: oracle.security.jps.ResourcePermission

  Resource type: oracle.bi.server.permission

  Name of the resource: oracle.bi.server.queryUserPopulation

  Action: subject

  • oracle.bi.server.impersonateUser, it does not appear in the list you can add it manually using following parameter

  permission class: oracle.security.jps.ResourcePermission

  Resource type: oracle.bi.server.permission

  Name of the resource: oracle.bi.server.impersonateUser

  • oracle.bi.server.manageRepositories

  • EPM_Essbase_Administrator

  4. start the BI Service

  
  

  But I can't launch the presentation BI Services login page.

  I got the bi_server1 error - diagnostic.log below file and it seems that the user BISystemUser is always having a problem of authentication with the server.

  
  

  Please note that I haven't restarted the server. Just restarted the BI Services.

• Delete the deletion for developers OBIEE report option

  Hi all

  We have an application role for a developer where he can remove reports of PROD. but we want to go forward with 1 more application role new where the developers must have all privileges except Delete option.

  We have 2 application roles to role of Developer 1 with delete option and others without the delete option.

  We have a huge catalogue with more than 35,000 reports altogether.

  For a particular report:

  Catalog-> shared-> reports, make files right click and option remove this can be removed in permissions-> customize - > uncheck the box delete

  Shared folder:

  Catalogue->-> shared folders permissions Select custom and deselect the Delete option

  But we are looking for something has changed in the world to remove option to remove existing EM (application policies) application role or OBIEE level.

  I don't see a way for you to find it in EM.

  The button Delete is something related to catalogue objects, that's why I think, is the only place where you can set or remove it in the catalog itself (as you say).

  For your 35000 reports you can still do so by code (web service, etc.)

  For example, I XXX_Custom, XXXX_Custom1 responsibilities of user1 in EBS. When I navigate to EBS to OBIEE how to get these two responsibilities. It is currently only a single responsibility.

  In order to change, just check the initialization of sage online and do not allow caching.

  Save the changes and deploy this RPD, restart OPMN services and you should now see all the responsibilities of the EBS to OBIEE.

  A virtual machine worked without any problems! Power off of the virtual machine and do normal "conversion process" - all right, but all the other VMS does not appear in the converter as soon as they are "off".

  I start VMware Converter

  -Convert the Machine

  -Source HyperV - Server (Powered off)

  that shows me all the virtual machines on the Hyper-V environment. As soon as I turned off one of the virtual machines that VM is endangered. I see not the virtual machine until I have restart the virtual machine.

• HRMS security configration with EBS

  I'm trying to implement HRMS to OLIVIER 7.9.6.3 security. I activated the SSO, and users can connect thorugh EBS to OBIEE. According to the documentation, application role name should be identical to the name of responsibility in the EBS R12. Please can someone let me know how to see standard resposnblities HRMS in EBS. I asked fnd_RESPONSIBILITY_vl table but failed to find the bottom of application roles (which should be responsibilities in EBS)
  (a) security based on HR Org
  (b) security of Personnel human resource data
  
  Also a user display HRMS reports, to assign to a particular responsibility HRMS this and it should also get links to naviagte OBIEE. Cam someone provide any document on how it is currently, I created a repsonblity OBIEE in EBS and an application role with the same name to OBI. Now, I want this user to have access HRMS.

• Bug in the role?

  Hi all

  I create a user of group "labuser" and assign it 'Virtual Machine Power User (example).

  Creating a User1 as a member of labuser. When I try to create a virtual machine, it is rejected as 'Need to assign Allocate resource virtual computer', so I did.

  After that user1 can create VM without issue, but it goes too well. I noticed that user1, I can act like I'm administrator. I can change roles. Even though I shouldn't have permission (this is uncheck the box). I suspect if this is a bug. Pls let me know if you need more information.

  No, I tried this time with the same result - my user cannot add/edit/remove roles or add/delete permissions to objects.  I added the role of "Virtual Machine Power User" (sample) to an ESX4 host that resides in a cluster, in a data center running on an instance of vCenter 4.

  I don't think that this will fire connecting to vcenter with two different names.

  If you use vcenter on windows xp and you are also the vc on the same client machine?  You can also list local groups that userX belong to?

  Please find below, when an object on which are granted privileges and object is deleted, I see the reference to that object is lost in the dba_tab_privs table, but the record still exists. How to handle this kind of situation. I mean how to get rid of obsolete privileges of metadata.

• Cannot delete the application role - error OBIEE main

  I tried to fix my personal account of OBIEE today and tried to remove me an applicaation role in enterprise manager and received the following error

  Cannot delete the main application role; main < user name > is not a member of the application role < role >

  Has anyone seen this error?

  My user id also seems to be capitalized - ex userid: Userid rather than what I expect it to be in all the tiny userid

  Open the file system-jazn - data .xml

  And by removing the additional entry manually

  So I deleted the following

  weblogic.security.principal.WLSUserImpl rodneyc

  Then when I went back to EM the user had gone as planned. I'm guessing that something screwed up in this file, but all right
