  • How will I know if a running Instance of Internet Explorer 10 is 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Hello

I'm running Windows 8 Pro Upgrade of Windows 7 Ultimate.
My taskbar to desktop has two icons for Internet Explorer, it is labeled "Internet Explorer", the other is marked "Internet Explorer (64-bit)".
However, when I check the properties or the other of these two shortcuts, by clicking on the button 'Open file location' takes me to the name and the following path:
    "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.
If I understand correctly, all the executables in the "C:\Program Files" are meant to be executable 64-bit, while all the executables in the folder "C:\Program Files (x 86)" are supposed to be 32-bit executables, so so that it would seem that both of these shortcuts are for 64-bit executables.
However, when I run Internet Explorer to one of these two shortcuts, by clicking on "help |" About Internet Explorer"gives me a pop-up dialog box that contains the following information:
    Internet Explore 10
    Version 10.0.9200.16384
    Versions of update: RTM (KB2718695)
    Product ID: 00150-20000-00003-AA459
"Install new versions automatically" is CHECKED

There is no mention of "64-bit" in Internet Explorer started from one of the two shortcuts.
Now, I just tried a little experiment and created two different shortcuts for Internet Explorer on the desktop of Windows 8.
I called the first of these shortcuts "Internet Explorer (32-bit)", and it's an explicit shortcut to:
    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Internet.
I called the second of these shortcuts "Internet Explorer (64-bit)", and it's an explicit shortcut to:
    «C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe.»
I then started Internet Explorer from the shortcut of "Internet Explorer (32-bit)", clicked on "help |" About Internet Explorer,"and got a dialog box containing information identical to the above information.
Then I took out the "32-bit" version, then began "64-bit".  By clicking on "help |" About Internet Explorer,"gave me exactly the same information again, with no mention of '64-bit' anywhere in the dialog box.
Does anyone have an explanation for this behavior?
Is this normal, or I found a problem
    ?
The reason I ask is that my program antivirus tech support site States that the latest version does support not entirely Windows 8 and some of Internet Explorer installed by the antivirus program add-ons don't work with the version of Internet Explorer 10 Windows 8, but others do not, but only in the 32-bit Internet Explorer version not the 64-bit version.
Is the antivirus program: Kaspersky PURE 2.0 v12.0.2.733, which is a version updated to make it at least partially compatible with Windows 8.  It is noted that a new version, Kaspersky PURE 3.0, updated in order to give all the features of Windows 8, it is not yet ready and should be published at the beginning of 2013.
Now, I'm having a problem with a particular module of Kaspersky PURE 2.0, which includes an Internet Explorer add-on, and who, according to Kaspersky Support, is supposed to be compatible with the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8.  However, this module does not work, and I need to know what to say Support Kaspersky on my version of Internet Explorer, when the dialog box 'About' is to confuse me information.
That's why I need to know how to say definitively what version of Internet Explorer is running at any given time.
Thanks in advance for any help, advice or suggestions.
    Best regards to all,

  • Impossible to download files from ANY browser, download "internet explore 6.0 + required.

I have Windows 7 64 bit and Internet Explore 9 installed, as well as Safari and Chrome.  The same message in all three browsers when I try to download from gaming sites. Above the box error message indicates "Internet Explore 6.0 + required. In the box it says that it detects a version 0.0.

Here are the sites that I've had no issues with/shockwave.com, iwin, bigfishgames.com.

The problem started last night. I have disabled the firewall of my antivirus (webroot), rebooted and it worked fine. I put a system restore.
Between last night and this morning there was a complete windows update when I turned on the computer.
    Then the party started

I used the system restore and took it back when things worked... no luck
I have not removed/disabled any virus or malware software... no luck
Also tried to create a new user to see if the problem would be postponed... He did

  • WHY my internet explore Windows keep crash

I constantly get this problem of windows internet expolrer knows a failure and closure. I paid for this service, help me or I'll go somewhere else.

I have already provided this information:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213/en-AU?p=1

Method 3: Run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode

Add-on Internet Explorer, such as ActiveX controls and browser toolbars, are used by some Web sites to provide a better browsing experience. An error may occur if an add-on is damaged or if an add-on conflicts with Internet Explorer. To determine if the error is caused by an add-on, run Internet Explorer in "no Add-ons" mode To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and then type Internet Explorer in the box to start the search.
    2. Click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Internet Explorer opens without Add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.
    3. Test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If problems still occur, try Method 4.

If no error occurs, the problem is caused by one of the Add-ons that typically load with Internet Explorer. In this case, use one of the following options.

    Option 1: Reset Internet Explorer

Reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration. This step will disable also any add-ons, plug-ins or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is fast, it also means that, if you want to use one of these modules in the future, they must be reinstalled. To reset Internet Explorer settings, use method 4.

Option 2: Use the add-on management tool to determine which add-on is causing the problem

Use the tool of management of Add-ons in Internet Explorer to individually disable each add-on to determine which add-on is causing errors. To do this, follow these steps:

    Internet Explore 7

    1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
    2. Click Tools, point to manage add-ons and then click Enable or disable add-ons.
    3. In the box display, select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer to display all the modules that are installed on the computer.
    4. For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click on disable under settings.
    5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
    6. Quit and then restart Internet Explorer 7.
    7. If the problems do not occur, repeat steps 1 to 3.
    8. Click Activate for a simple add-on.
    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

    Internet explore 8

    1. Open Internet Explorer 8.
    2. Click Tools, and then click Manage Add-ons.
    3. In the drop-down view menu, select all add-ons to display all the modules that are installed on the computer.
    4. For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click disable in the information window.
    5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
    6. Quit and then restart Internet Explorer.
    7. If the problems do not recur, repeat steps 1 to 3.
    8. Click Activate for a simple add-on.
    9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors occur.

When you perform a clean reinstall, it allows to rebuild the registry of

    Sure.

It's for Internet explorer 8 and I prefer this browser to others.

    Ok.

And I will have to install all the updates again if I reinstall the system.

Yes. You need to reinstall everything- all the updates, all the
programs installed, all your data files (that you must first
back up and save on an external support).

Reinstalling Windows is a lot of work, as I said before and in my
view should never be done except when absolutely necessary.

Here's an excerpt from my standard post on this topic:
You must restore all backups of your data, you must reinstall all
your programs, you must reinstall all Windows and application
updates, you must locate and install all the drivers needed to
your system, you must recustomize Windows and all your applications to work
the way you are comfortable with.

In addition to all these things being long and painful, you can
have trouble with some of them: you will find all your CDs application?
You will find all the necessary installation codes? Do you have any data
backups to restore? Do you remember yet all customizations and
tweaks can be installed to make everything work the way that you
    as?

So, again, sometimes must do. But if you do not have
    to
, I highly recommend that you do not have.

The Flash Player does not support a 64-bit Internet Explorer. However, it works on IE 32 bit running on a 64-bit operating system.

To run Flash Player on a 64-bit system, you must use a 32-bit browser.
