BlackBerry 10 when the update fails, where are the temporary files?
Hello
My phone was about 1 GB of available and did an automatic download of the 10.3.2. When I tried installing it says that I need an additional 480 megs. I tried to use the link to date, and it failed (with a msg saying that the update has been interrupted). Then, I deleted about 1 GB of data and tried again. Always has failed, but now I find myself with only 300 megs free.
It seems that the update has eaten to the top of my storage somewhere, probably with temporary files, but I can't find them. Where can I look to see where these files are located so that they can be removed? Control of the storage of the device shows nothing out of the ordinary.
Hello
They are not in an accessible area of the user. Indeed, given the penalty, I actually recommend that go you to an auto-loader in order to avoid any corruption that chess can be introduced. I hope that you already have a backup.
Good luck!

I install Windows 7 Ultimate update on Vista Ultimate. Compatibility check says I can go for it.
I have 348 GB of free space and 2.4 GB of Ram. I run Disk Cleanup and is are free programs on hard drive. When I run the installer, it gives me this message
There is not enough free space to store the temporary files of Windows installation.
I'd appreciate any help to overcome this problem.
Tried the fix you suggested. He changed nothing
You may be able to mark the partition on which is installed the operating system as being active.
- Open Control Panel by clicking the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
- Click system and Maintenance.
- Click on Administrative Tools.
- Double-click computer management. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
- In the navigation pane, click the disks as storage management.
- Select the volume that contains the existing installation of Windows Vista. In general, it is the C drive.
- Right-click on the volume and select Mark Partition as Active.
- Click Yes to confirm the action.
Could also contribute to:
If you have several hard drives remove all except the one that you install Windows 7, and then replace it after Windows 7 is installed.
Disable startup programs:
(A) click Start, type MSCONFIG in the search box and press ENTER.
OK the authorization of user account control and password if necessary
If you are using XP: click Start, run, and type: MSCONFIG and click OK.
(B) on the general tab, click Selective startup.
(C) just below the selective startup, clear the checkbox "Load Startup items".
(D) click the Services tab, check "Hide all Microsoft Services", and then click Disable all.
(E) click OK, and then restart the computer.
(F) try the upgrade again.(NOTE: If the upgrade fails and you continue to use your rear security software, then also go back into MSCONFIG and under the general Tower XP/Vista tab, click "Normal startup", and then click OK to exit.)
Also:
You need more than half of your drive is empty instead upgrade. If your reader is 1.0 TB (1, 000 GB), you need 500 GB + to be free.
If you cannot free enough space, you need to move data to external storage.
Free space - increase the hard disk space

4. click OK at the bottom of the window cleaning disc and in the message that appears, click on delete files.Reduce the amount of space allocated to system restore.
1. start--> panel--> system and safety--> system
2. then click on the "System Protection" link located at the top left.
3. in "System Properties" window, click on the "System Protection" tab

is it safe to delete the temporary files?
a game on MSN games froze the screen. The solution I got was to remove & reinstall Java, delete cookies, temp internet files. I will lose any important data if I delete temporary files?
Temporary files because they are are temporary and can be deleted safely. Of course, when you remove cookies from Web sites that you visit often preventing login/password information and then you will have to re-enter.
The only time where it is not recommended to delete the temporary files is when you install a program, and if this program always needs to restart to complete the installation.
It is rare that any who save their important data in temporary since the temp files folders are always flushed when the user run CCleaner or all files temporary cleaner.

If the temporary file can be deleted salely
the temporary files in the windows folder can be removed safely

Yes, they can and must be removed periodically.
The temp folder provides workspace for programs. Can create programs
temporary files there for their own temporary use. Each program should
delete all temporary files when it closes, but for various reasons
It is not always the case (for example, if the program crashes, it)
never gets to do). That is why it is a good idea to periodically
clean up anything left there. Also note that there are some program installations that work in two
steps. The first step concludes by writing temporary files and
reset. The second stage starts automatically after reboot and
needs to find those files here (and then removes them when there
fact).Other than to do it automatically on reboot (which would interfere
with facilities like the kind I described), it is always safe to
Delete the contents of the temp folder. Because it is safe to delete
all the temporary files that are not open and currently in use by an application, and
because Windows won't let you delete open files, it is safe to (try to)
remove them at any time. If one does not delete, because they are open.
they will be automatically deleted when the application using their
shut up, or you'll get them next time you manually remove. Some people may suggest that you restart before deleting anything, but
It is not necessary, for the reason stated above (on the other
hand, it's not bad to do).Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP

The temporary files and Buring CD stash file.bin
Hello
I have a question about the temporary files and CD burning stash file.bin that are created when you try to burn files to a CD in XP.
as I read the article below, it is said that when you try to copy files (burn files to cd) on CD, first of all these files are copied to the folder under: \Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning, then also these files are copied to a monolithic disc image before saving the data to a CD in reality This file named CD burning stash file.bin and is located in the folder root (default under C:\)
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/279157
are these temporary files in c. Drive_letter: \Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning
and the other file named CD burning stash file.bin in the root of the C drive will be deleted automatically after finish burning files to a CD?
If these temporary files are automatically deleted after burning, they are sent to the Recycle Bin or deleted without envoys to recycle bin folder?I knew all these processes are involved just to burn files on CD... and I have not computer XP with me at the moment, so I would like to know if these files are deleted when the program ends to burn.
If anyone can help me with the answer, I would appreciate it!
Hello
Yes, these files are should be removed when the program ends to burn.
It will be useful.

Move the temporary file or restore
Dear Sir
A few days, I faced a problem with the server, my temp file has got 100 GB and caused storage full occupied and halt proceedings. I have to resize to a certain extent and bring the body back on track.
I think that, in this case, I could drop the tablespace/tempfile and recreate it, but I was scared then... so I resize.
Please share your opinion, it is totally safe to drop tablespace temp/tempfile in any situation? I know, right now sort operation failed, but I'm willing to adjust with that. But my concern is the incompatibility or the overall database problem.
Kind regards
I have not tried so I do not know, but I guess that Oracle will not let you do something for the temporary file while someone uses it. I hope that David can correct me if I'm wrong on this matter to shrink.
Personally I would do nothing temp related without bouncing the PB itself if I could possibly avoid it.
