• Some questions before buying phones smart blackBerry...

  Thinking about buying the Blackberry Curve from Verizon Wireless, I had a few questions that I hope that the community could answer. I am currently using the Moto Q on WM5.

  1. any problem passage of a WM5 to Blackberry OS device with respect to synchronization of all my data? I use Outlook 2007 with business contact for any Manager.

  2. I know that most of the software I have acquired for my Q will be port any more, but what, all data such as spreadsheets, databases or word documents that I saved on my card?

  3. which brings me to my next question. I have to reformat the data card, I use now or do I have to buy a new one? I currently use a Sandisk micro with mini adapter.

  4. do the curve, unlike the Moto Q, backs up everything like the old Palm Pilots do you have? With the Q I had to buy the backup software to back up everything that did not get synchronized with the center of Vista Mobile Sync.

  1. I don't expect you will encounter problems of synchronization of your contact information as you use Outlook. When I bought my curve first I have problems somewhat in sync with Outlook settings, but was fairly simple to manage after. Everything that was in my outlook saved very well on my blackberry.

  2. you can view most of the documents on your curve even if I have not tried to view a .docx (word 2007 version) file. PDF files appear a bit blurry on my device. One downside is that you will not be able to edit these documents, unless you buy a third-party software to do this. If you can with a software purchase, I still have to discover this solution.

  3. your micro SD card should be fine. I have not had any problems using my that was in your windows mobile. All my pictures and music adapted very well.

  4. the software necessary to backup and synchronize all came with my curve and would see no reason why it would not be included with your purchase. So different from the back-up is similar to the Palm of the hands.

  I hope that adequately responding to your questions. I can tell you that on the whole I really like my blackberry.

  When I go to BB Apps World - record in Applications and entry email, password, a message to user agreement (or license), behind it appears two buttons: accept and cancel. Can you help me remove this message to continue using this app and download other applications of BB!

  HT, I have a problem with the removal of the sms in the Inbox...

  fantasies I remove sms... al d messages under tht thread gets deleted, but it does not disappear in the Inbox... n wen I try to open the "deleted" msg... it does not open it is removed, even if the content of msg is removed...

  also some opportunity der r many instances of the same msg thread... for example... If I get a msg frm Mr. X

  Look for the icon of the application that you can't find in the Applications folder, downloads, instant messages, one of the folders.

  Battery pull reboot is the best way to restart.

  Alternatively, you can press the ALT + SHIFT + DELETE key.

• BlackBerry 8900 Smartphones keypress questions

  My BB 8900 from T-Mobile is having problems on keyboard - it does not seem to recognize when I press any key on the device, but roll the trackball still seem to work. Clicking on it does not work. However, I can't be sure of that since I can't get through the lock screen. Also, when the screen goes black, I can't wake him again without getting a charger and plugging him. It is not frozen, as the time displayed on the device still happening. I did like 5 battery pulls and every time I got the same result.

  This looks like what I've seen several times on a device with moisture damage.

  Even sitting on a countertop bath during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause problems with keyboard and trackball up to this JUST-withered.

  Does seem likely?  Really, it is more common than you think.

  1 the battery immediately! Do not turn on your BlackBerry device.

  2. allow the device to dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days * (see below)

  3. DO NOT "check it every day" by placing the battery in. Leave what would to dry completely. It takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can damage only (humidity + power = disaster).

  3. If the unit is hot after the drying period, let it cool to room temperature before placing the battery in the.

  * Suggestions on your BlackBerry in a warm dry place (open, with battery):

  • Place the BB in a container of dry uncooked rice, and then you can also place it in one of the locations mentioned below.
  • On top of all heat dry emitting electronic components: TV or CRT, LCD, TV cable box / Satellite or plasma monitor

• Deleting mail in bulk of the blackBerry 8820 Smartphone

  I have hundreds of emails I want to erase my 8820 only device.  There must be a way to delete in bulk instead of remove each separately?

  Yes, there is. You can use the function delete prior to delete emails before a certain date. Once you are in the Messages section, use the trackball to scroll and highlight a particular date separator. Once the date separator is highlighted, press the menu key and select Remove beforehand. This will delete all messages prior to that date.

  You can also press and hold the right shift key (I think) and scroll the trackball and which allows to select more than one message. Then you can press the delete key.

  My 8820 has been nicely synchronization then I tried some security settings, and now the Office Manager says 'Work' and does not synchronize more just. Help

  I have a 8820 running 4.5.0.161 (Platform 2.7.0.105)

  Halft time when I open an e-mail message that art, or an image, I get a warning saying "Are you sure that you want to get images", then a warning indicating that the images can contain viruses.

  I'm not on a corporate system.

  Is it possible for me to stop these messages and get the images automatically?

  Trackball on 8820 ceased to work horizontally, vertical without problem. Ring removed cleaned coplete assembled and reconfigured, not better. Re done, but before you put the locking ring back checked and it WAS FINE. Replaced locking ring and back to square one. !!!!

  Someone at - it ideas?

  Maybe you have placed the metall/magnet rolls wrongly? There are 4 next to the trackball.

• BlackBerry Smartphones 2 Questions: A College Web Page open and repeat a song

  Hi all!

  I looked for possible answers to these questions before posting and I found nothing. My questions are:

  1. I tried, repeatedly, to connect to my college web page (www.ccp.edu). However, I noticed that I white screen appears when you do too.

  2. while playing songs in my playlist (using Media Player of Blackberry), I noticed that there is no option that will allow me to simply repeat the currently playing song. The listed repeating option, when you press the blackberry button, only allows me to repeat the entire playlist.

  This is my first Blackberry! And if it is not perfect, I enjoyed using it so far! Please any suggestions are welcome!

  (1) try to get the browser storm emulates different browsers - sometimes it helps. In the browser, press the BB (the button to the right of the green phone button) and select Options. You can change BB browser here... you can also enable or disable other options that may be part.

  I have the blackberry curve smartphone lilac, and recently a little symbol "appeared" at the top of the screen, in the same place as the "new message", "new email address" etc. icons are displayed.

  It is a white circle with a white arrow pointing South West and black in the middle of the circle and a small red star on the top right of the icon, the same that appears in the top right...

  He now has a small number 2 beside him, assuming that I have now 2 new all what it says... However, I don't know what that means, or how to get rid of!

  I recently got my 8820 and I still have to get a media card so that I can download my music to it. I think I knew the Roxio interface pretty much. I successfully download a small CD track in the ringtones folder & he attributed to a # succesfullly. But is there a way to create a short ringtone from a song which is 3.5 minutes long?

  Thanks for your quick response! I found a program on CNET too. It's free for 15 days, so I could burn for the next two weeks midnite oil ) then I'll probably switch to Audacity to my bb. I have another phone non - bb also, so I'll have to see if Audacity works for it as well (Nokia N73).
