BlackBerry Android App to install versions of apps abandoned/paralyzed? (Facebook/Whatsapp)

As you no doubt painfully, so Facebook WhatsApp essentially abandoned their BB10 applications.

WhatsApp is very popular in the Netherlands, and without him, my phone is essentially useless.

Would it not possible to install Android applications?

If BB is truly committed to BB10, they should do this job, IMO.

No, use Snap.  You'll have to sideload Snap, but after that everything is easy:

No BBM service on the device... a quick search of the forums here would have told you, since you're "Great contributor", you need to know how to search the forums for others solved same issues you encounter.

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. on OS5 devices: Options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

On OS6 devices: Options > device > advanced > host Routing Table
2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service Books. From your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830North American carriers - scroll to select your carrier

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

  • How to install an AIR android app without deleting the data generated by the previous version

I have an android application developed using adobe AIR SDK 16 and Flash CS6. Whenever I have publish/debug the application directly in the connected device. But whenever I publish the application data (images, text files) saved in the repository of application including the sqlite file are deleted. That's why I have to recreate all the data again to test. Is there a way to public/install an apk without losing the data created by the app installed? I tried with changing the version number. And I use the same certificate.

Colin is correct. When you publish on an Android application directly on a Flash device, it removes the old version and then install a new. You can actually see this happen. If you have the app open with the screen on drawer and to publish the application from Flash, you will see the app disappear from your device and a few seconds later, another appears.

Another way you could install the app, while keeping the data is just having Flash create the .apk file and install it manually on your device or use the method of Colin put as a beta/alpha on the game store. Be aware that if you are wanting to do your application paid for, you can first make free.

A manual installation options include the apk of edition and then move to your device while it connected as USB device (Windows) or use the Android app (Mac) File Transfer and you need a file manager on the device application 'open' the app that will trigger the installation prompt.

What I do, because my apps are for most of the code and are small size of file, use Dropbox. I have all my project files saved with Dropbox, so whenever I publish a new .apk file, I download the new file to my phone from Dropbox and install it from the downloads app and it prompts just update you currently installed.

All manual installation options will be security-> Sources unknown option checked. I don't remember if it applies to the developer of the app, but apps beta/alpha on the need of a community Google Store + or Google Group created to test and anyone in the community or group can download and test the application. But of course, you can restrict the groups invite only.

  • BlackBerry App Blackberry 10 OS cannot run the most popular android app of China (PRC)

I know that the Blackberry 10 operating system does not guarantee compatibility with all android applications.

But I think that your company will be interested in solving this problem.

This is because the program has 1 billion users. (It's the Chinese clone of Whatsapp.)

This popular application 'Wechat' cannot run on the Blackberry 10 operating system.

You can talk to Tencent (software company) to address the problem.

(This company has made to develop a version for the Blackberry OS, but they have not updated for over a year).

The official download for the app link is here:

    https://play.Google.com/store/apps/details?ID=com.Tencent.mm

Thank you for your explanations. Seems that you have so many camera problems lol, just kidding.

Personally, I prefer to use the snap-in as a source for downloading applications androids instead of Amazon Appstore or any other source. Never have a problem until now.

Since you have successfully charge your phone OS, I recommend you try Snap, to avoid the unable uninstall question android app.

The processes are actually for OS reload... upgrade, downgrade, or stay the same is not serious, the process is the same, it is about the specific version that you choose to install. Via the official methods, if they don't offer you what you want, you just stop... then move to informal autoloader methods and choose the automatic charger that contains the specific operating system version you want.

I already gave you the warnings on this subject... re-read post 4 above please. There is always a possibility of injury permanent... There is no guarantee. But I installed it with Autoloaders from dozens of times... once there was a problem, but the issue proved to be the autoloader itself... and therefore a different automatic charger using has solved the problem. But not always, no guarantees. Use at your own risk. I don't think that there is a problem, as long as you carefully read and follow ALL the instructions... If you jump on an object, you increase the risk that you might cause a problem. So, once again, re-read post 4 above please... all this.

  • Risk of blackBerry 10 Android apps

    Hello

yesterday, I received an email that there is a security hole when you use Android applications.

Unfortunately, it is a German page, but I think you get what it says when you translate

    with google translate:

    Source IOC:

    German

    English translation

    Heise source:

    German

    English translation

Basically, he said that applications can read direct contacts of the business part of the phone.

The security flaw is fixed, but my provider for example has not released the update again...

So, if you use 10.2.1.537 or lower, I would Setup not all Android Apps.

What do you think about this?

    Concerning

    Redsun

The threat is low if you stick to the known apps and reliable sources.

Although it was reported as a security risk, I heard no Android applications that currently use this hole.

But if it's something, you are concerned about yes I recommend waiting for the update.

There is also a policy of BES ' security > Apps access to the work of personal Contacts "which can be set to None which stops all applications personal BlackBerry and Android to access business contacts side.

Once the update has been pushed out, you can change the return policy.
