BlackBerry_App_Descriptor.xml icon

Hello guys.

Well, I'm almost on the BlackBerry World! Thanks to you guys.

I have one question though that I can't get right.

I presented my app in the app on Mondayand world there are a few problems that I fixed most, except one.

The 'denied release file' Message BlackBerry sent me said:

After the installation of your application, we notice that the icon of the application appears as a default icon. If you use our Eclipse plugin, please check your BlackBerry_App_Descriptor.xml file and make sure that you correctly specify your custom application icon.

I did it! Maybe I did it wrong...

It's similar to my BlackBerry_App_Descriptor.xml file:

I have an image named NCC_Small.gif - what is supposed to be the icon of the application. How can I make sure that the BlackBerry app knows that he has to always use this icon? There is an icon.png file in res/img, but it's the default icon. I even deleted this time and submitted again, but to no avail.

It was the third time, they denied me

Can anyone help!

looks like that the image cannot be found in packaging, this is why the default icon is used

try to put your icon in a different folder and make sure that after the conditioning

(1) the path in your appdescriptor is correct

(2) there is no default icon in your package

also, before submitting, you should always check the contents of your package

    Hello

What version of OS are you running on your device?

The action bar is probably due to an outdated version of bbUI.js be used. Currently using:
    https://github.com/InnovateorDieOnline/Bote/BLOB/master/index.html#L11

    Which is: bbUI VERSION: 0.9.6.15

    So that the most recent:
    https://github.com/BlackBerry/bbUI.js/BLOB/master/pkg/BB10/BBUI-min.js

Is actually: bbUI BB10 version: 0.9.6.889

There are a number of BBUI updates that were needed to support future versions of 10.1 and 10.2. Probably an update to your library BBUI is necessary.

Regarding the app icon, I don't know exactly. If you are ready to send me your record of BAR ([email protected]), I can verify that the config.xml file / BAR descriptor are configured correctly.

  • Refused to output file: the application icon as a default icon

    Hello

After presenting my first BB app for review, my request was denied due to: "I've noticed that the app icon appears as a default icon. If you use our Eclipse plugin, please check your BlackBerry_App_Descriptor.xml file and make sure that you correctly specify your custom application icon"

So, I changed the xml file and now I want to update (replace) my output files. On behalf of the seller Poratl, 'Presentation of release edition', to the 'Add Release Version' tab, I found bundles of 'file', but I can't find an option to replace the zip file, or delete the files. I don't know what to do to solve this problem.

    Please help, thanks.

Manage products-> under releases column, click on + and repeat the download of the new bar.

  • The path icon.png is restricted.

I am not able to specify an icon for my Hello world app.  I went through the steps in the sample application, and I'm sure I didn't fail to provide.  I made a simple icon.png 90 x 90 pixels.  Then I used import to import in the src folder.  All lowercase.  I have my blackberry - tablet.xmlIcon.PNGfor my icon element.

When I try to run or debug I get.

    Ah ha!

I just gave up on the name, icon.png, renamed appico.png and presto!  I suspect icon.png is a kind of default or trigger some default behaivor.  I have actually renamed Icon.png and then got a different set of errors about 57 x 57 icons in the xml file.  Once I renamed something completely different and updated my blackberry - tablet.xml to reflect the new name, he worked as it should.

This brings me to my next question.  In the sample application documentation it is the blackberry - tablet.xml that specifies the icon to use, among a few other items.  I see the AIR created full xml doc, but it is not mentioned that we should update for icons.  At that time I left alone.  Should I be specifying the icons it too?  Those are other sizes for other devices or playbook actually shows icons of different sizes in different situations?

  • The missing PlayBook Application icon

    Hi all

I hope someone can help me with a problem I have. I am currently coding my first app webworks for the Playbook, and everything went well except that my application icon does not appear. I tried my compiled bar line on the Playbook 1.0.1 Simulator and a physical Playbook running OS 1.0.7.2670, which do not show the icon. The icon I use is 86 x 86 pixel, named "icon.png". I have included the call of the icon in a file ' blackberry - tablet.xml "as:

        Core.All
        0
        1.0.4.0

            Icon.PNG

        strangled

(the names of the author, authorID and the editor have been removed)

I also called the icon in the config.xml file:

    http://www.w3.org/ns/widgets ".
    "xmlns:RIM ="http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets"
    version = "1.0.4.0.
    RIM: header = "" RIM-Widget: RIM / widget ">"
        Game

        Game
        <>
    RIM: copyright = "2011".
    email =""
    >

        <>committees mode = "landscape" / >

My sidebar file was compiled using Webworks 2.1.0.6. The three files ("blackberry - tablet.xml ', 'config.xml',"icon.png") are located in the root directory of the application. If you need more information to help me with this problem do not hesitate to ask and I will answer as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your help!

I assume you are using the file blackberry - tablet.xml in the execution of an application not signed in the PlayBook device. This file is not necessary for signed applications, only the config.xml file is required. And for your problem, I guess it must solve it. In blackberry - tablet.xml , use the following code for the icon.

      appicon.png

  • PhoneGap build - where to put application icons and splashscreen files

As build phonegap says to download only www.zip folder so I'm not able to understand where I should put the icons and the splashscreen for each platform folder. Should I put inside www?

The reason for asking this question is that if we're supposed to keep the icons and splash inside www only so my application will become very heavy icons and useless and splash screen files will be added in my app that my application is cross-platform supported and I have included icons and splash for all platforms.

If we are working offline (phonegap cli) then we used to keep files inside "res" outside the folder "www" and cordova build process automatically copy only specific platform icons and splash screen files, but here, it will add all the files even some of then are no longer required for the selected platform. Please let me know if one any idea on this subject.

    a. When you use Phonegap Build, your icons and splash are anywhere you want. BMP does not require a specific directory of your zip file structure. Neither requires a naming scheme.

    The best is:

-have index.html and config.xml icon.png in the root directory of your zip

-all the rest well organized, have you like

-Make sure the paths in your config file are completely correct.

    For example:

    / index.html

    / config. XML

    Icon.PNG

    /myOtherPages/Page2.html

    /myOtherPages/page3.html

    /myOtherPages/page4.html

    / myOtherPages /...

    /myIcons/icon60.PNG

    /myIcons/icon90.PNG

    /myIcons/icon120.PNG

    / myIcons /...

    /mySplashes/splash320x480.PNG

    /mySplashes/splash480x320.PNG

    / mySplashes /...

    / myJavascriptfiles /...

    / myCSSfiles /...

    / myGraphics /...

    (b) make use of the file .pgbomit what is called to say a BMP to include only the directories and files that are required for each operating system.

  • Flash CC Air icons not saving settings do not

    Hi all

I have problems with the icons of AIR controls, they don't seem to be registering the information once I loaded the icons. When I do an export "Application with runtime embarked" unless I immediately publish the tab icons, the icons are missing. I also noticed that its not writing to the xml file.

I have tried to remove the xml code and starting from scratch but have the same problem.

I have a "AppIconsForPublish" folder that I added manually as a sub folder that stores the icons. Tried to add this location and external location where the icons are moved to this folder but no luck.

I've been editing xml manually with Notepad ++, this would be a problem...

This happens only in the last few days, I've recently upgraded to CC of latest Flash.

    Thanks in advance...

Same thing started happening to me today, the app.xml icon section is constantly cleared (after being edited manually) whenever I go to the icon tab and select a new icon. The new register icon in flash but not in the xml file, and as soon as I leave the icon tab and return nothing is there. The only solution is to change the file app.xml manually, adding section of the icon:

    AppIconsForPublish/icon16.png...

AND lock the file (read-only brand).

    Hello

This is my first contact with BI Publisher, and I try to figure out how to create reports from data as. XML files.

If you use version 10, then you must activate the output of 'data' for one of your RTF models. When you export, then select the format of the 'data '.

If you use version 11, then you can get the raw XML data without creating page layout templates. If you change the data source, click on the XML icon on the top right.

You can use an absolute path, but the chances of error are much greater than when you use a local path.  In addition, your absolute path does not work when you deploy your swf (on a server under an air or as a file of projection).

Use a relative path.  the easiest way is to put the xml file in the same directory with your html and swf, fla.  You can then use:

    yourxml. Load ("icons.xml");

I like to keep xml files in a subfolder of the xml file that contains my html and swf, fla.  in this situation, you would use:

    yourxml. Load("XML/icons.xml");

but whenever you have a path problem, the best bet after a few checks and emerge from the spelling is to the file to be loaded into the same directory as all flash files and make sure you can get this to work.  then start moving files to create a cleaner more logical Setup, if that suits your needs.
