BlackBerry-debugtokenrequest on Blackberry10 SDK 2.0.0.71 WebWorks

Hello

The debugtokenrequest-blackberry batch file has a file companion of the same name. In my computer this file gets associated with the file FormZ Layout Autosave, rendering it useless. What is the file extension of the file blackberry-debugtokenrequest which is not the batch file? This program is used to run it?

Please let me know.

Gasmi

The non-batch file is a file script for OSX environments.

It may be better to re - associate batch files with the batch of Windows file type.

  • Develop with Blackberry 4.2.1 SDK in Eclipse

    Hello

I need to develop an application for Blackberry Java SDK 4.2.1 and above.

I'm currently under Eclipse 3.5 classic, and I have installed the plugin BlackBerry Java for Eclipse v1.1, with all the Blackberry Java SDK available, version 4.5 to 5.0.

Unfortunately, it is not no matter what SDK available less than 4.5 in this plug-in.

Anyone know how I can develop for Blackberry Java SDK 4.2.1 in Eclipse 3.5?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, there is no way to build an app for 4.2.1 in the latest version of Eclipse. I think I read somewhere on the forum where someone tried (and perhaps successful) in getting installed by using an older version of the component package.

Not sure how much it is important for you.

If all goes well, they will update it soon because she has been the application of many since new version of the plug-in.

    Why is it so?

The best answer is - not.

There is no guarantee that your application, designed for BB7, work well on older versions of the BlackBerry operating system because the web rendering engine has evolved considerably during this period.  In fact, WebKit was introduced only BB6.  Prior to this, BBOS 5.0 used a proprietery Java-based web engine that was designed to support the same web standards, but nevertheless provided a different rendering experience.

Devs who intend to support the old software BBOS are strongly encouraged to test their applications on these platforms, rather than assuming it will work.

  • Problems with the creation of chips of debugging SDK WebWorks of Blackberry10 2.0.0.71

I had a problem with the creation of debugging tokens using the blackberry-debugtokenrequest command. It gives me an error saying that "java" is not a batch file or a program. The blackberry-debugtokenrequest batch file has the following text:

    @java - Djava.awt.headless = true-Xmx512M - cp ' % ~dp0\... \lib\EccpressoJDK15ECC.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\EccpressoAll.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\TrustpointAll.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\TrustpointJDK15.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\TrustpointProviders.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\BarPackager.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\BarSigner.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\KeyTool.jar;%~dp0\... \lib\DebugTokenRequest.jar ' net.rim.device.codesigning.debugtoken.DebugTokenRequest % *.

I think that the culprit is the symbol @ before java, does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

What happens if at the command prompt just type "java-version" of your command prompt?

If it does not, you must do one of two things.

    1. install Java v1.6 (32-bit only)

2 Java is not in your PATH. (http://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml)

  • Sending a big boost with the SDK high-level examples of results in a timeout

    Hello

I try to send a big boost with the sample of high level. I have registered my valuation Service Push Blackberry application, deployed the SDK in Tomcat on my computer, my app has added to the list of high level sample applications and tried to send a little help with a message in plain text during broadcast (to the Subscriber of "push_all").

This resulted in an IOException caused by a timeout: "taken IOException sending message to the address URL of PPG: https://cp3520.pushapi.eval.blackberry.com/mss/PD_pushRequest.

    I have a few test:

    1. I send a simple GET request in Forefox on https://cp3520.pushapi.eval.blackberry.com/mss/PD_pushRequest which resulted in 401, so I can reach this address.

2 I tried to reproduce the request with a Firefox plugin. Here are the contents of my application:

    Headers:

    This resulted in a timeout.

3 I tried the same query without the "multipart/related" header, and got this response:

    http://www.openmobilealliance.org/tech/DTD/pap_2.1.DTD">

So I guess that it is not an authentication problem.

Do you know what could prevent the response to be sent?

    Hello

    I finally solved the problem!

In fact when I tried to reproduce the request I made a mistake in the headers, I put two different instead of ' Content-Type: multipart/related; Boundary = QfgeRDy0bk3pYpCMeL8Q; type = application/xml '. I tried with the firefox plugin again and get the same response as Matt told me in his private message, when tested with my credentials:

For the serevr part I think it was because of a proxy problem, you said. I could not download the installer of linux SDK on the Blackberry site, I installed the Windows SDK on my Windows computer, and I think that Java options were not used by the server (which is strange because I put it in the Tomcat service Java options). I copied the folder of the SDK on my Linux computer, added the Java options in catalina.sh and everything worked well with the sample of high level. So I guess that the problem comes from my Java Windows Setup.

The tricky thing, I don't really understand is the timeout for the request with bad headers.

Now, I need to know why the app is not subscribed to the service push, but it is another problem.

    Thank you all!

It is possible to correct your installation by editing webworks-cli/lib/utils/utils.js

            return process.env[(process.platform === 'win32') ? 'USERPROFILE' : 'HOME'];

  • Cascade dev and blackberry playbook

    Hello bb Forum

I watched the past videos cascades of development and the presenter said that currently the playbook does not support blackberry 10 bones, so apps made with cascades do not work on the playbook from now. While I don't currently have a book reading there is one on the way.

I wanted to start to create some apps that I would be able to put on the blackberry appworld, my question is using the new sdk tools and development. Current devices are supported? Who would be able to download and use apps. Sorry for the question but I'm totally new to blackberry.

    blubee.

You can use webworks (html5), which is supported on all platforms of bb (java OS, PlayBook, BB10).
Or you can use QtQuick, which is available on the PlayBook and the BB10. If you separate UI and c ++ you could also write a new user interface in Cascades later.
    Or air, I guess.

What SDK WebWorks is - 10 BlackBerry or Smartphone (Java) or Tablet OS (AIR)?

I just did a search in the source code of the Smartphone SDK and found no matches on this error code:

    C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry 2.3.0.9\device_templates\blackberry\web\widget SDK WebWorks

This suggests that the error comes from the BlackBerry OS, instead of SDK WebWorks.

Can you tell me, is there a model when you see this error?  For example, you turn on mass storage mode (locks the file system), or you change a map removable microSD?

I got this error in the Simulator as well as in a real device: "error in management: TypeError: result of expression 'blackberry.media' [undefined] is not an object.

Also, I included the function in the config.xml file:

I don't know what else could be.

    Hello

I have not a 9360 around me at the moment, but I just tried it on a 9900 7.0 running and the above code ran very well.

On your device, could you please navigate:

Options > device > application > search and highlight her is > press the menu key, then select change permissions > set all allow (or as high as possible) > save options and re-run your application under test.

It is more of a longshot, but get a little creative.

Also, you use the latest version of the SDK software (2.3.1) smartphone while packing?

    https://bdsc.webapps.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/download/SDK

I'll try and think a little more ideas, but the above code should work on a device of 7.0. Maybe someone from the community can check on them?

  • Difference between WebWorks plugin and widget sdk?

I used only to BlackBerry JDE and am about to move to Eclipse. I understand that I can write in HTML & JavaScript, then compile them in .cod.

I read that I must have the WebWorks installed in the Eclipse IDE plugin (and I can install the IDE with WebWorks already included). Can someone tell me, what is the purpose of the Widget SDK? Can I plugin WebWorks BOTH the Widget SDK to compile HTML and the hardware API library sources?

    Thank you.

Before I update my ide, let me ask you - originally, I started with the download on

    http://us.BlackBerry.com/developers/browserdev/devtoolsdownloads.jsp

which consisted of the the BlackBerry WebWorks v. 2.5.1 plug-in OVER Eclipse IDE.

So I can assume I already have the latest and greatest (the reason I ask is that it looked like the upgrade an existing installation of Eclipse with the plugin seems much more complex than to install both together)?

Yes, you have the latest and best.  I recommend always download and use the full installation programs and not the update site.  Update website brings all sorts of complications.  We started to remove the update site support on a full installation on our Java tools just for this reason.  It represents 90% of our assistance to the installation.  So yes, please use the complete installation programs.

A big problem - does not install the file files .alx with BlackBerry Desktop Software. No idea why that might be. I get an entry, and it says waiting for install, but when I click on apply ends upwards with nothing in the 'Status' column and the plus sign under the Action, which does nothing. Help!

In order to install an application on the device, it must also be signed with BlackBerry code signing keys.  Have you purchased your code signing keys and signed your application?

In addition,-get a simulator for my Curve 8310?

You can download simulators for all models of BlackBerry.  However, the 8310 curve does not support the OS 5.0 which is required for applications BlackBerry WebWorks.  Simulators can be downloaded here: http://us.blackberry.com/developers/resources/simulators.jsp

And why the initial compilation step so slooowly. It takes a few minutes for this simple PIN alert program. Is this typical?

By the initial compilation, do you mean compilation and the launch of the Simulator or actual compilation.  On most machines, I noticed the build takes about 10 to 15 seconds.

PS. for some reason, I sometimes can't play youtube videos. (Since they work sometimes, I tell myself that I have flash 10 installed ok.) But, is there not a DOCUMENT (as opposed to a video) which gives the same instructions as the video, including the source code for this simple application lists? Seems like that would be a no-brainer and would help out a little.

I'm not sure of a specific tutorial of the Eclipse, but we step by step tutorials included with the sample applications for various different features:

You can use the elements entry standard HTML5 with date, datetime, datetime-local, or months to get a native look-and-feel for the user picker.
