BlackBerry OS 6.0 Smartphones and the Blackberry Bold 9700

I'm new to Blackberry, so please forgive me if this is a stupid question. I read that OS 6.0 will be out soon. I will be able to load it on my Bold 9700 from T-Mobile? If Yes, what is the best way to know when it is available? I will be able to simply connect my Blackberry up to the Desktop Manager on my computer and load? Thank you.

No one yet can answer these questions.

My "thinking" is that OS 6.0 will be released first on new devices. If it is the result of past experiences, you will see probably available for some of the most recent (like the 9700 devices), at some point, but no one doesn't know, and those that do, are not certainly say.

So... my recommendation: check back around here at beginning-middle of the summer.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Bold 9700 Smartphones blocked (or stuck) with 99% of the loading bar HELP!

    Hello world!

Well, everything is explained in the title, my blackberry bold 9700 is block 99% of the load bar when I reboot it.

Yesterday I had like 3 or 4 updates to some app and then I reboot but now it's blocked... I try to remove the battery several times, did not work, I try to use alt + shift + del several times, did not work, I try to use BBSAK but the blackberry cannot recognize... I don't know what to do and the worst part is that I did not do backup everything (ok so I'm little kind of stupid, but...)

In any case of me HELP

    Thank you!

YES! I found a solution! Working on it since yesterday! It is an application that has been blocked my BB

So for all of you who have had the same problem here's what I did: I use the AppLoader, you will find cor D, F no matter) / Program Files / Common Files / Research In Motion / AppLoader / loader

Launch the loader and connect your blackberry to the PC by USB. BUT it must detect the blackberry before the loading bar reach 3/4. So when the blackberry is detected, quickly click Next, then you should have a list of all your applications. Now deselect the application causing problem (or if you don't know which deselect all to remove all) and then click Next. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE LOADING BAR SHOULD NOT SPEND 3/4. After that it's going to be something and if you see that it blocks just to make a reset in now alt + shift + del 2 times, wait, she returned to the loading bar and try again to detect the phone in the AppLoader who does not close during this manipulation... After all, that things blackberry should restart and hope for you, came back to life. So, in my case, I lost all my photos (don't know why), but at least I'm keeping all my contacts and messages. In any case it's better like this than all lost...

Sorry for my bad English, I think that everything is not really clear, but perhaps that might help someone...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Bold 9700 for ORANGE bought in the UK, but never used does not work with TELSU SIM in the Canada

I had a Blackberry Bold 9700 as a gift.  I think it was made for the Orange network in the United Kingdom ('Orange' written at the bottom of the BlackBerry in the front).  I tried to use it with my TELUS account in Canada with TELUS SIM.  The Blackberry does not register any wireless network signal.  The meter of signal display "SOS" only and no TELUS network is avaiable.  My position is Mississauga (Ontario) and Telus wireless covers this area for sure.  I checked that the device is not locked by going to Options-Advanced-online SIM card and typing MEPD Options Online.  The options that appear to say 'off '.  The device seems to read the SIM card because the SIM card # appears.

Y at - it someone who has the same problem and its resolution.  A large part in this regard, the obligation for any input.

    Hello

I just discovered the reason for BB does not not with TELUS that I wanted to inquire about registration CDMA you mentioned...

A smart guy, he asked me to check the frequency bands that supports my BB.  Its sub Options => on.  "3 G bands" that supports my BB are 1, 4, and 8.  These correspond to the IMT 2100 MHz, AWS 1700 MHz and GSM 900 MHz respectively.  The frequencies that TELUS uses in the Canada are groups 1, 2, 5 and 6.

So, finally tech TELUS came with the answer that my BB is designed to work with some UK frequencies and not with TELUS frequencies in the Canada.

I've misunderstood and used the term incorrectly HARD LOCK.  The BB I have shows all the options as "disabled" when I go into options in advance-online SIM card and press the MEPD.  Also if I press MEP2 unit not asks me to input MEP codes.  Nothing happens.  This led me to believe that this device is not locked to ORANGE network so the lack of a better term, I used little HARD LOCKED.

Much obliged for your entry.  It has been enlightening.  Thank you very much.

BlackBerry Bold 9700 os6 - how to remove the status bar (3g, indicator of service) at the top?

I love the new OS6 and MEDIA SYNC is great.  Finally my itunes music is available on my blackberry!

You can "get rid of it.
The only change you can make is the 5 bars can be changed by the numbers by pressing ALT + NMLL (instead of the signal bars, you see the actual level in dBm)

The Motorola HS820 earpiece/Headset Bluetooth Audio works with the Blackberry Bold 9700?

It's not clear to me, if only the bluetooth Blackberry devices work with the Bold 9700, or any bluetooth device.  With the Bold 9700 recognize to ask the code four numbers when first by aligning it with the HS820?

I matched two Plantronics, a Motorola and an earpiece/headset Cardo bluetooth with the 9700 and they work very well for phone calls, but I can't get the audio from Media Player to play on one of them.

Hi everyone I just bought the new blackberry bold 9700 from at & t and im paying $ 25 a month for the internet and I have the black iphone theme. I used to have the old curve and I thought I knew everything there was to know about the BlackBerry, but now I am having a problem... on my screen theres a envelope which according to him as the number 1 indicates that I have a message that has been closed, but I do not know how to open it. It is not a text or bbm message or an instant message. my phone is not related to my email, so my question is how can I find where this message is in my phone and how to open it because it is really starting to annoy me haha please help!

Open the application "messages".  Press the 'u '.  Brings you to the last e-mail unopened.  If there is nothing in there, press the menu key and select 'View Saved messages.'  Do the same thing in there with the U key (if there is a lot.)  If it is not in the saved messages, doing the same thing again, and then select "view folder" and each search folder until find you it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how GPS Blackberry Bold 9700 works in India?

    Hello
3 years ago, I bought a Blackberry Bold 9700 (T-Mobile) in the United States with 2-year contract. While home, I pretty much used the feature of maps/GPS directions very well.

But since I went to India at the beginning, I had the phone unlocked by T-Mobile. After his arrival in India, how can I now make the GPS works? Will be fair with an offer for the data service to the work of mobile service provider? or should I do something else in the BlackBerry phone device to make it work?

I'm looking forward to using the GPS for the use of applications that could help me track my race (like RunKeeper... etc)

Any help on this aspect is highly appreciated. Thank you.

BlackBerry data plan is totally different from normal Internet data plan. It is essential requirement to the configuration of the e-mail, browse the internet or using BlackBerry Messenger.

You can browse the Blackberry App World with this data plan and install applications. You can do without the data plan. In this case, you will need to use the Wi - Fi feature.

  • Charge blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry bold 9700 problem

I have a blackberry bold 9700 purchased recently. It runs under os 6, works perfectly, but one day I charge I unplugged to make a call and when I connected again nothing happen. I tried 2 different Chargers at each point of sale in my house, but nothing works. I can load it in a car, or a friend anywhere but home...

Yes I know thank you for your time, I appreciate it! I connect it to a usb port, it displays connected my PIN

It's good, it means that the connection to the USB port on your handset is good.

I know that you may have tried this... but try again. New charger, new battery, charger different, different load location (another outlet). "You have a DC car charger, try it).

  • BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphones may not make or receive calls

I have a blackberry bold 9700 with TMobile, who cannot make or receive calls since yesterday.  Texts and e-mail work fine and I have done a battery pull approximately five times.  When I try to make a call, it is this constant clicking, almost like a pulse of sound that comes through the phone.  I tried to call the phone my wife and her phone rings with my number, but no voice crosses.  Same problem when I receive a call, the pulse thing happens and it goes to voicemail... which of course, I can't verify.

I had this phone during nearly two years and that has never happened before.  This just started yesterday past and no change to the phone (OS update, new application, etc.).  Someone has an idea what is the problem?

    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    • If it still does not work, remove and reinsert the SIM card.
    • And, if still not, go to the store of your mobile operator and get a free exchange of SIM card and check it while IN the store.
