BlackBerry security certificate - Software Bug - Z30 Z30 browser

Born of the recent revelation of bug "Software", Steve Gibson created a special site for different web browsers desktop and mobile visit - https://www.grc.com/revocation.htm - where you can throw in- https://revoked.grc.com. He states: "given that the security of this site certificate has been revoked, your web browser must refuse to display a page. If you CAN see the resulting page, please read carefully! You may be surprised and distrurbed. »

Using the browser in my Z30 to access the https://revokded.grc.com, it is troubling to see the web page said: "... you use a web browser to revocation without !

Going on this site for my laptop and desktop with Windows 8.1 computer, I was refused to open this Web page.

Is this a flaw in the Z30 browser? If not, can I make corrections in its settings?

BlackBerry blocks certificates that are known to be compromised to help protect visitors from potentially dangerous Web sites. We regularly update our list of compromised certificates and continue to evolve our capabilities of certificate revocation to provide customers a more secure browsing experience.

I saved my data link BB to reset the factory settings on it. After you click reset link BB asked me to remove the phone from the computer. And wipe security with a blue icon turning light in a black circle stuck between an hour.

I just want to know if is it normal or not? and how long will it take?

    Thank you

I did not a security wipe in ages, so I don't know what the icon looks like these days. I would say that a security wipe can take hours to complete if there is much data on your phone.

You might be best to leave all night to see if he is ready to leave in the morning (unless someone else can confirm that the frozen icon is not a good thing and other measures should be taken).

    I hope that helps you.

  • Z10 Z10 blackBerry browser - certificate expired bug

    Hello

I hope this is a good place for bug reports! In any case, the Z10 browser gives me a "certificate expired" error for https://nexusmail.uwaterloo.ca , but inspection of the certificate indicates an expiration on September 26, 2014, which is still in the future. I suspect that it is a bug in the browser Z10 because I can't reproduce this problem on other platforms; loads of site without a certificate expired using the error

-26.0 Firefox and chrome under Linux 27.0.1453.93

-Chrome 32.0.1700.102m, 26.0 Firefox and Internet Explorer 10.0.9200.16750 on Windows 7

Also, the QUALYS SSL scanner, despite finding other faults in their configuration, to find a path of trust for the certificate and also concludes that it has not expired:

BB10 version I use is 10.2.1.537 (updated yesterday). However, this problem was present for 2-3 days before the update (sorry that I do not remember the previous version of BB10).

    See you soon,.

    Michael

So I checked the website on my computers browser and the root certificate is already updated it.

10.2.1 to research in the environment-> Security-> Certificates-> all I see two GlobalSign Root CA certificates.  One of them has expired yesterday, and it seems that using the device.

If you open the certificate expired and uncheck the Trusted it will use the other certificate and you won't have an exception of security on the device to open the site more.

The reason has been discussed in the Microsoft forum.

It seems that Avast antivirus somehow involved in this error.

When I search my bank using www.lloydsbank.com a page that looks authentic, but when you try to access account details access is denied because the site is not the necessary security certificate. Then he said: the site, that I asked has been online.lloydsbank.com which is obviously false. I managed to access the correct site continuously through a different browser.

Check the date and time of the clock on your computer: (double) click on the clock icon in the Windows taskbar.

Try renaming the file cert8.db in the Firefox profile folder in cert8.db.old or remove the cert8.db file to remove the intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.

If it helped to solve the problem, then you can delete the renamed file cert8.db.old.

Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the file cert8.db.old to cert8.db to restore previous intermediary certificates.

Firefox automatically records the intermediate certificates when you visit Web sites that send such a certificate.

If that didn't help then remove or rename secmod.db (secmod.db.old) as well.

  • Security certificate error

    Hello.

I bought a laptop Dell Mini Inspiron in August for graduate studies. At first, I don't have a problem connecting to Internet Explorer by using the school WIFI service. However, after the first week, I developed a problem where I can't connect IE without problem "security certificate". The error is pink/red and States that
"THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SECURITY CERTIFICATE FROM THE WEBSITE...". The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid. »

Then it gives me the opportunity to perform on the site. While I can use internet, I always get this PINK/RED warning on the certificate. I know that after doing extensive research on this:

    1. the problem is not a question of TIME. The date and time is set to the exact time.

To make things easier... I have Windows XP and IE usage.

Find it me hard to believe that the school certificate has expired. Secondly, I see another student using the laptop in the school without problem.

Any help or assistance would be useful.

    Thank you.

I noticed that I could upgrade the java software since the first site you provided. Is this right?

If you followed this link correctly, then Yes... it was ok. Both links will introduce you to the java components more up-to-date. A score more. You should check your ' Add/Remove' programs for older versions of Java that can always be installed. Have no idea what version you had before you updated, I should say there are some older Java components that have been exploited and create a slight security risk. Unless you KNOW for sure that you updated to have only the Java 10 installed and none of the other older components update, you must uninstall all installations of java that you can find with the exception, of course, that you just installed. The reason why I mentioned the caveat about the '10' update is because "Sun Micro Systems" has started (update 10) to write the uninstall command in their edits starting with this version. All other previous versions must be uninstalled manually.

    I noticed the following:

in the connection manager... MSN is not available. (missing device, a firewall)

May - what that means something?

In the Act, that it is possible. Double click on your network connection, and then click the properties area. From there, click on the Advanced tab. In windows firewall, click the button "settings".

Once you're in the firewall settings, click the "exceptions", check the box for "any MSN product you have here" and remove it by using the delete key.

When you try to start MSN product again once you will be asked if you want to allow the application allow access or not. Of course, you must answer YES to prevent the problem from happening again.

For your ' wireless network connection: not connected question, you can try reinstalling your TCP/IP to see if that solves your problem:

    • Click Start--> run... then type cmd and click OK (or press the Enter key)
    • Type (or copy and paste) cd- ... then click on ' OK or press on enter.
    • To the C:\ >, type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
