BlackBerry Server - specific requirements?

Great work!

Are there special requirements for the BES or it works out of the ratings being mandated through the internal BES blackberry browser?

http://communities.VMware.com/blogs/chuckgman

HY,

If you are abel to navigate the sites you BB in you´re local network (Intranet), you're ready. If this isn't the case, select the mds - cs on the crib of BB (BES server) as server push.

See BIS blackberry internet service... It's just like an ISP = Internet service provider...

    Hello

In fact, not quite "like." An ISP provides a primary internet connectivity to a computer/network, with often other services (e-mail, web and other accommodation). Latest BBs can, with no BIS-level service and with WiFi only, accessing the Internet fine for browsing the web and some other services. In addition, many can, with just a generic data plan, access the same things via the data network of the carrier. But certainly not BB exclusive services (e.g., BBM, email, BB Protect, etc.) works not at all... all the exclusive services of BB require subscription to a package of adequate data of the mobile operator.

There are many different levels of BIS plans... There are hundreds of carriers in the world, some with dozens of different BB data plans available. Some provide email and social networks only, but not web browsing. Others provide web and internet, but not the social networks. And there are quite a large number of variations in the light of all the exclusive services of BB. But, in all cases, they are provided by BRI... then BIS itself is the overall framework of the exclusive services BB, with plans of carriers of data allowing the various combinations of these different services available... all depends on what the user subscribes to with their mobile service provider.

    Hope that helps!

Push service that you use does not at all use the BES. The problem may be related to the fact that you use the App ID in the URL when you shouldn't be.

  • Specific requirements of VPN tunnel

    Hello

A partner of business (BP) has some specific requirements for VPNS. By the (BP), configuring vpn on my Cisco ASA (825) must have the following:

The remote gateway (BP) must be set to 0.0.0.0 - this is what concerns me.
Any unwanted question could occur on the SAA for the other tunnels or routing by setting the crypto map peer and tunnel-group for that specific tunnel 0.0.0.0?

My side of the tunnel must be set to passive IKE (answer only). No problem with that.

Thanks for any advice provided on this subject.

    Hello

In case they ask that you agree to any public IP address as the counterpart because that their IP is dynamic, you need to configure a dynamic to the tunnel site-to-site static in this way you can accept their connection to your ASA.

You will need to use the default tunnel group and configure the preshared key, it shouldn't affect other tunnels, because if the other tunnel is static, you have created a more specific tunnels for this particular peer

Here is a document allowing to explain this dynamic to static configuration of a site by using ASDM and CLI

  • Smartphones Blackberry blackBerry server not connected

My blackberry server does not work - outside of WIFI areas, I don't get emails and none of my apps don't work, however my internet still works? My phone is like that for a few weeks now - I tried to call my mobile service, who put me through a blackberry person, but it's still not better. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

The first message you received indicates that the request was made, but nothing will work properly until the response is received. It is a problem between your device and your carrier data network (Tesco)... you need to contact them for assistance.

    Good luck!

  • Why MS SQL server is required for installing vcenter?

Why MS SQL server is required for installing vcenter?

You need a database to contain the vCenter Server information. It may be SQL/Oracle. By default, an installation of SQL Express happens if you do not want to install a complete SQL Server blown - it will have maximum but limits work for smaller infrastructure.

    Exact wording of the documentation:

vCenter Server and vCenter Update Manager require databases to store and organize the data from the server.

Each instance of vCenter server must have its own database. vCenter Server instances cannot share the same database schema. Several databases of vCenter Server can reside on the same database server, or they can be split between multiple database servers. Databases Oracle, who have the notion of schema objects, you can run several unique vCenter Server instances in a database server if you are the owner of a different pattern for each instance of vCenter server, or use a server of Oracle database dedicated for each instance of vCenter server.

You don't need to install a new server database for the vCenter Server installation to work. During installation, you can point the vCenter Server system for the supported existing databases. vCenter Server supports IBM DB2, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. vCenter Update Manager supports Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. For a list of supported database server versions, see the vSphere compatibility tables tohttp://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40/vsp_compatibility_matrix.pdf on the VMware vSphere documentation Web site.

  • Windows Home Server - Hardware requirements

    Good afternoon

I am interested in creating a solution of Windows Home Server. I bought a Windows Home Server 2007 OEM media with the intention of creating my own solution, but never got around him a few years ago. My question for the community is the following: what are the hardware requirements for this solution?

For me, it's a question I think I should know, but for some reason any I am at a loss! I think I need at least 2 computers. The first is the server itself, the second is a stand-alone computer that connects to the network.

If you can give me some of the basic information I should know before diving into the Home Server I would really appreciate it. If you have all cards/articles that can help you with representation on what I need to do this would be as phenomenal.

    Thank you in advance!

I confess that I've never used WHS and have no idea about it but. • Not connected to the BlackBerry Server blackBerry smartphones

Whenever I have do hard reset, the tour of my device or reboot after uninstall an application is not registered on the network. He pushing me race frequently diagnosed or registry HRT and need to wait for the BlackBerry registration message within 1-15 minutes late. I'm sure have no problem connection in my new carrier. Another question is to receive strange messages from my auto PIN code and can invite my auto PIN code. Picture below was published, my PIN is to the profile page.

Since you have switched carriers, sure to ask very detailed if you really receive services BIS on their part. When you change carriers, your BIS service is supposed to automatically shift by the prior carrier. But this still does not work properly. If, for example, delivery has not published their system of BIS BB PIN, then the B carrier cannot deliver the BIS service to you... This is not possible, a BB PIN can exist in system BIS only carrier anywhere in the world at any given time. And, if the automatic change of the carrier B did not, then you might still receive BIS of the courier service, even if you run on carrier network B... some carriers block traffic to other carriers BIS on their network, other carriers allow. Generally, after some time, the original media figures they are delivering the services that they are not paid for and close... I've heard some long time, 3 months or more, where this may occur. But there is no way for everyone but the carriers to explore this possibility for you.

I suggest to solve the problems of service BIS first and make sure you receive full-service carrier b. BIS if all goes well, their network is capable of delivering BIS with your specific BB model number... no support for carriers, all the model numbers of BB for AutoShip of HRT and maintenance book each supports only a subset, and if the specific model of your BB number is not automatically managed by the network carrier Bs, then they will not be able to offer you a service anyway BIS. And once the driver to stop you (assuming that this theory is correct, of course), then you will have no BIS service at all.

So, I suggest that you talk to carrier B (and perhaps even A carrier) to be sure that your services are all fully evolved over the carrier B and B carrier fully supports your specific model BB for automatic delivery of HRT and service book. Once this is resolved/insured, then it would be logical to try and diagnose other things. But, first of all.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones - WIRELESS AND BLACKBERRY SERVER

I can't connect the server of blackberry via wi - fi. At the top right icon shows a WiFi connected, but the bb logo is not on... I am visiting the United States and have no roaming. I have a BB9900. My wife has a BB9780, and his phone connects very well via wi - fi, with BB applications. Help please!

Yep, and it should work the same. I did not LEAVE homelessness on continuously while you travel, just do it for 10 minutes and see if that turns your device BIS account while you are on WiFi.

STAY in touch with WiFi when you do this. Then turn it off.

  • Application of blackBerry Smartphones that requires credentials at startup only

    Hello

I don't know if I'm posting in the right place, otherwise, please my present his apologies. I'm looking for an application that requires credentials only on startup and in case the password is entered 3 times incorrectly, the device is reset.

I have a BES server and I would like to stress that to be managed from there.

Is there a software to recommend?

    Kind regards

    POY

I think that there are four events that activate the locking password.

    (1) the icon screen - locked the BB "we demand."
    (2) the configured time-out value - between 1 minute and 1 hour (at least on mine)
    (3) holstering - you can force it to lock (a selection of the configuration)
    (4) restarting the device

If all goes well a combination of those that meet your needs. Otherwise, you will indeed get a few add-on (and I somehow doubt that one exists since this security feature is already robust enough and meets the needs of most everyone).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones-system requirements

    Hello

I have a friend who has never installed the software. The CD that came with the camera is about 2 years old and the version seems to be 4.7. The CD is never beyond the point of initialization. To try to troubleshoot this, all messages seem to suggest the newest software downloaded from the Web site. However, I don't think that his laptop computer meets the requirements. His laptop computer was 1.25 GB of ram, but the processor is AMD Athlon, 797 mhz and 22 GB of free disk space. Operating system is Windows XP (sp3).

Given all this, what is the latest version of the software able to manage his laptop?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

The system requirements are described on this page:

According to your description, it seems that 5.0.1 is perhaps compatible, but 6.0 can be a problem (mainly because of the speed of the processor).

Unfortunately, RIM has removed the system requirements for versions older than 5.0.0 although they are still available to 4.7 through this Portal:

  • VCenter Server 6 requires 2CPU

    Hi all

I was in the process of upgrading our Vcenter Server 5.5 for Windows which is a virtual machine to the latest version of January of Vcenter Server 6.0 for Windows.

I went through the installation program and once I accepted the EULA a pop up displays "VMware vCenter Server detected 1 processor (s), 2 processors are required for the selected deployment type. It is not a choice for the type of deployment start with. Everything is installed in the same VM.

The virtual machine is already at version 10 of VM level. This means that I can't change the settings of the processor in Vsphere Client. The only choice is to change hardware parameters in the Web Client. But when the Vcenter server is down for maintenance of the web client is declining too. The only choice would be to directly connect to the ESXi server and change the parameter directly. However, I can't use the Vsphere Client.

Have I any other option to change the virtual machine hardware settings?

What exactly is the requirement, 2 CPU or 2 cores per Socket?

    Thank you

    Edy

The possibility to change the hardware version 10 virtual machines with the vSphere client was added in to vSphere 5.5 Update 2, so if you download the update client 2 5.5 you will be able to use it.

Alternatively you could use VMware Workstation to connect to the ESXi host when vCenter is out of service and modify the virtual machine, or use PowerCLI, take a look at edition vCenter VM parameters with Hardware Version 10 | Pelicano computer services
