BlackBerry Smartphones 8830 charger Port

The micro-USB charger on my 8830 is damaged where it does not load. I understand that he has the ability to load to the point contact just below the standard charger port, but I am unable to find a charger pod that allows me to reload this style phone. I scoured Internet far and nothing... any suggestions?

I just asked a friend who's 800 BlackBerry devices in their barn, told me no, those who do not charge contacts.

However, on Crackberry, I found this:

http://shop.CrackBerry.com/BlackBerry-power-station-and-extra-battery-charger/5A100A2789.htm

Read the third series of observations, which leads me to believe someone somewhere he fees that way.

So, you can get a used external - battery charger, or a new device.

Or take the gamble on the pod to load.

My old 8800 EU Golden these contacts, but I swear today they were the ports of chrarging. I read both ways here on the net, they are / they aren't.

  • Unlocking blackBerry Smartphones 8830 World Edition GSM and code provider

    Hello

I'm a guy unsavvy tech and have an 8830 World Edition phone. Bought this from Auntie Indicom (Vendor ID: 269), a CDMA operator which also provided a GSM SIM for only international roaming. Last month, number portability Mobile came into India, and I went to a GSM provider, Vodafone India. After the transfer of numbers, simply inserted the new Vodafone SIM and the phone and Blackberry services are working well with the new operator. Two questions:

    1. from the Options-> advanced-> SIM card Options, after typing MEPD, I see:

    ID: a large number

    Customization:

    Disabled SIM

    Active network

    Network subset disabled

    Service Provider disabled

    People with reduced mobility

Does this mean that my Blackberry is locked? If Yes, is it blocked by Vodafone? Given that I have moved the Auntie service provider Vodafone and does not seem to wear the same number on the same phone, aunt locked the phone.

    2. type Alt-EACE, I always see the Vendor ID 269 (Auntie). See also the logo of Auntie initially upwards. Is it possible that I can change the ID of the seller or at least stop getting the start screen for the old vendor? This ID Vendo has something to do with the above-mentioned lock?

Would be very grateful if some kind soul illuminates.

    Thank you

There must be something different on a BB WE that allows the use of other SIMs, though always stuck at home carrier. Odd, but your experience proves the theory. I seriously doubt that release will make a difference, but certainly to try I guess.

I don't know why your BB is as you describe... but, I want to propose the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried. However, you want to be careful here. I don't know how you originally got your BB running services on your current operator. All BB services are controlled by the Service books. If a carrier does not natively support a BB model on their network, there are a few things that need to be taken to get these SBs on than non-native BB. If only it had to do, don't go here... you could just wipe out all your services level of BB. But if none of these tricks are required (which would mean that your carrier supports natively your BB model), then you should be safe to go ahead.

Steps 1 and 2 each should translate into a message to your BB to come:

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

Maybe it will make a difference. I really do not know about you, to be honest. It's a tricky business, and you can well serve just as well by getting a new BB you get from your carrier... which by the way, you would have at least that the formal support at your disposal channel.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Wireless charge Qi/PMA & Technical Support

I just got my Blackberry priv... to the Canada... and there are a few questions! There is a lot of confusion among the staff of the retailer wireless, more people own Blackberry support, what models have the ability to support wireless that is Qi /PMA. Models sold by most retailers, STV100-3 is NOT without WIRE of LOAD COMPATIBLE. I had to buy my private Blackberry directly, http://store.shopblackberry.com/store/bbrryus/en_CA,where selling model is the STV100-1, WHO IS WITHOUT WIRE of LOAD COMPATIBLE. All that being said, I wanted precisely the ability to charge wireless because my new car, a Toyota Camry from 2016 has a IQ of wireless charging button on the console. However WHEN MY BLACKBERRY PRIV IS equipped WITH AUTHENTIC CASE in LEATHER of BB, I bought the same site, IL NE SERA NOT RESPONSIBLE! In addition, the Priv comes with 1 year free Technical Support. I tried and could not access the line to help several times. I am unable to connect. When visiting the website support of Blackberry, the SMALL CHARACTERS says, IT DO MAY NOT BE REACHABLE BY PHONE cell PHONE CUSTOMERS! I use the Rogers home phone, to my residence in the square, a second line of cell phone. It's just a shame, that a cell phone company is unable to provide technical support to customers who have bombed right on more than 1,000 dollars for their product, via the cellular service? Apart from that, the phone is really cool and sexy and elegant. Pity about the lack of knowledge among personnel of Blackberry and the staff of the retailer and inaccessible Support!

I found the answer to this problem... I think so! I have been in contact with Rogers, who provide me with my cellular services and Rogers home phone. The representative told me that there is a "known issue" with the home phone ZTE box that does not allow customers to navigate of «IVR» interactive voice response systems The manufacturer of the ZTE boxes apparently working on a software patch which should be available in several weeks.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv charging protocol - at any time less than 100%?

Hard to keep up with all this new technology, but don't harm the Priv battery life or the ability to hold a charge if I continue to load when it is less than 100% - say 50% or 60% (instead of complete emptying) and then unplug when 100%?

My battery has currently autonomy - easily all day with systematic emails, occasional internet with videos associated with Twitter or the Internet.  However, I want to make sure that the battery life and the ability to hold a charge remains strong - as much as we can't easily exchange to watch the Z10.

  • BlackBerry, change of sim card and ID blackberry Smartphones roaming charges

I did a little research and although have found similar cases, I'm not quite sure if this has been covered completely. Please forgive me if it has.

I'm going abroad in Germany for a year, and it is useless to cancel me my current plan of the monthly British payroll with Vodaphone. As far as I know my blackberry is unlocked at the international level - I put an old, German o2 pay as you go sim in my phone. Seemed to work very well (sign of o2 Germany, received a message on homelessness in the UK, etc.), but I had no credit so couldn't test. I registered again my user ID of blackberry on my home wi-fi. But other that I couldn't do much to verify the extent of my use.

However, I heard various accounts of not being able to use e-mail, internet, wipe the contacts, etc..

If someone could clarify this, here are my questions:

    • If I take my sim UK vodaphone, is anyway I have accumulate roaming charges? Is my blackberry ID, potentially with a new German supplier, related to my old?
    • Will he make any question tries to access my email, bbm, whatsapp, etc., with a different number and in a different country.

One has experience in this area, in Germany (a long shot), Europe or world? It seems that the whole ID blackberry complicates things.

My phone is a Blackberry Bold 9900, AFAIK its software wise update - I have updated today with the "Bundle 2061 7.1" I think.

    Thank you

    J.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are a number of problems to know for what you propose... Here are my thoughts... (Note that I have traveled internationally widely enough with a BB).

If you activate a plan of itinerant international with the support of your home, you should be able to keep your current SIM card in your BB and have all the features anywhere where you are allowed (according to what your home carrier active). Costs are not small in general, but your home operator is the only entity that can tell you if it will work and for how much money. My personal experience with this method was difficult, it took two 'stranded' international travel before my carrier home could properly configure my account for full international roaming I needed. And once my BB was out of my home network, there was nothing else they could do... so the two 'fail' the TRIPS Agreement.

Given that your BB is unlocked, you can use it on other carriers, simply by changing your SIM card. But with BB, it is not quite as simple as that.

No BB does exist (indeed, no device anywhere that I know of) that has all the radio technologies/frequencies within the view are just too many in the world. Thus, your first task is to ensure that your BB has the ability to the same function on the support networks you want to use it on. You must study the capabilities of your specific BB against the requirements of networks you will operate on... you may need to ask those network operators for more details.

If this element is satisfied, which then verifies that you have services at the level of the voice (calls, voice mail, SMS). But for level data services, increase complications.

Each company chooses patterns specific to BB (by model number) that they will promote "automatically". I do not know the carriers that have their network configured to support all the model numbers of BB. If the carrier you wish to automatically use your BB model number on media, then their system will be able to automatically deliver to your BB Service books required in order to activate the BB exclusive services (email, BBM, etc.). But, if their network does not natively support your specific model BB number, then their network is not likely to be able to automatically deliver these Service for your BB books... which will prevent the use of their network BB exclusive services. Again, you must inquire carriers on which you want to run if your specific model BB number is supported by their network for the automatic distribution of maintenance book.

In addition, it is to ensure that your home carrier frees your BB PIN of their system of BIS. A BB PIN can exist in only one carrier BIS system anywhere in the world... so if your home carrier doesn't release him, then the other carrier will not be able to allocate a BIS account for you, and you still won't be able to use services BIS of them. In this case, it is usually a matter of contact your supplier of home and convince them to release your BB PIN of their system of BIS.

If all goes well and all the conditions are met, then it can be quite transparent to switch between carriers, simply by changing your SIM card, ensure that each SIM card includes good BIS Services this carrier of course.
But if anything this either in the chain requirements above fails, it can sometimes be frustrating to make the things work pretty well (reminds me of my two "failed" international travel).

So, with all this as preamble, now to your questions...

Given what you describe, I see no for Vodaphone to charge you roaming charges. Without their SIM in your BB, your BB may not even try to use any resource of Vodaphone. But, you will need to get confirmation of Vodaphone on this point... so that they control all services, billing, etc. for your account. BB services you are subordinate to your main carrier services... you need the services of the main carrier to provide network connectivity services BB riding on this network connection.

    jpfp wrote:

    • Will he make any question tries to access my email, bbm, whatsapp, etc., with a different number and in a different country.

There are always opportunities for questions. When you use a different SIM card, you are constrained to some services that provide the SIM. If it does not, for example, BIS level services, then you won't access to people. Similarly, if there is some government restrictions for some services, you can be restricted from that as well. If you get a SIM card with full services of BIS and, as described above, you spent all of the required components that I have listed, then you should be able to have all the services you listed. It is possible that you may need to reconfigure your email... There are stories about these configurations if shattered when change carriers... but the BBID integration is intended to facilitate this exact type of change of carrier, so it should not happen. But don't we can, of course, no promises.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 8830 calendar Synch issue/Vista 2007/Office Mgr v5.0.1

I use Vista 2007; I have 5 accounts of e-mail on my 8830 - none are related to Microsoft Outlook.  Somehow, my calendar on Outlook using an e-mail address that is not the default configuration on the 8830 synch (I had to e-mail to the default list on the 8830's General Options) and so when I opened an APPT in Outlook on the 8830 syched, it shows the secondary address and I can't change it to the default configuration.  When I create a calendar on the 8830 entry, it shows the e-mail by default but then it is not sync in Outlook (unless I have the secondary list of e-mail).  I was not able to find a way to solve this problem. Whenever I have sync Mgr Bureau 5.0.1 it syncs off the secondary e-mail address.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  I have had this camera for years and it is the first issue I encountered.  It has not affected my notes/tasks/contacts/notes sections, which is a good thing.  Thank you!

My unit is fixed - this is how we did it (thanks Verizon):

1 back up data via Blackberry Desktop Manager

    2. under Options, Advanced Options, default Services: remove all the associated email calendars (CICM extensions, if I remember correctly).  I've only used Microsoft Outlook - not connected with an email, so it was just get rid not use calendars.

    3 wipe 8830

4 restore the 8830 with the back upwards the data via Desktop Manager file (note, this has created once again duplicate entries, because the unit out emails associated with inputs and so now I had an Outlook calendar on the 8830 with merged/duplicated entries before - everything synced very well).

    5. the Director of the office, go to advanced options of Back-Up/Restore and move the database calendar-ALL to the box side left hand called FILE (to create a backup file just for that)

    6. on the right side, clear the calendar-ALL database (that of the 8830)

    6. return to synchronization, then sync the calendar this first time from Outlook-device (change to double synchronization later).

    5. I did a sync full or regular and that solved the problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 8830 remove key brings up menu sending

When you type an e-mail, if I hit the delete key to delete a character, a menu appears prompting me to send, save, or see the full Menu.  Send is highlighted on the menu... so if I hit the delete key again, the message sends.  This makes the deletion of a character string or text very difficult.  Any ideas on what causes the menu to appear?

    Hello

    There are two possibilities:

    (1) you press the wrong key - if you hit the button to the right of the trackball, you hit the 'BACK' / 'ESCAPE' key - it is not a back key.   This key is used to close the screen or the current menu and go to the previous screen, or to exit the current screen, which is what you do.   The correct BACKSPACE is the small button at the end of the rightmost in the midline of keyboard (line 'ASDFGHJKL').  It is the key which has "DEL" in small letters.

    (2) you have a faulty BlackBerry.  By pressing "DEL" by writing an e-mail, causing this abnormal behavior, is not normal.  Return to the store/carrier for a replacement BlackBerry.   Demonstrate the problem and they will agree that it is defective.

    Will be

The items that you have saved on the media card do not count for the memory of the device. You can check the device memory by going to Options | Status and take note of your free file number. Then reset the unit by removing the battery and 1 min and replace it and let the device restarts. After that he did check and see if your free file number has increased.

Also do you have a lot of third party applications on the device that you don't need? If so you can do in the Options | Advanced options | Applications and delete those you no longer need.
