  I bought a BB Torch 9800 in a country with full support for BB and after 6 months the supplier retains even Appworld "soon". I realize there are * complex * reaons to Appworld is not not available in my country, but without being able to download, buy or install applications, ringtones and themes, the torch is not really much of a phone. There are much better deals Android and Apple that are customizable as a bonus. So the solution for me is quite simple (although not what I wanted): kick ass clean, chuck BB in the tray and vow never to leave BB - control is only archaic!

  I hope I'm not abusing this forum but need to share:

  DO NOT BUY THE BLACKBERRY APPWORLD IS NOT SUPPORTED IN YOUR COUNTRY.

  To add some clarification, anyone can check this page to ensure they meet the minimum requirements (including if it's available in their countries):

I downloaded a few free apps in appworld yesterday, but today I tried to download overdrive but after error (003-001) code a few times he says now appworld is not available in your country.   I am currently using a Blackberry Curve 9300 3 running on os 6 (6.0.0.448) and every time I have download Appworld, it does not appear on my home screen. It started when I upgraded BB Appworld

  But it seems that the I found the way to solve this problem by myself. And I hope this will help others.
  1. downgrade your device
  2. download Blackberry Appworld
  3. (updated all the apps that have had the same problem)
  4. update your device
  5. your device will now Appworld and all the other apps that had conflicting problems.

  It turns out that downgrade your device would force allows you to install an older version of App World (which will work). After the upgrade of your device (which will install a new fresh OS) App World will be updated as well in a State where she works on the device without any problems. You can now use App World to download all the other apps that had the same problems.
  Please keep in mind, I used DM to downgrade and improve

  Have you tried to install AppWorld on your BB and then install the app directly OTA to your BB via AppWorld?

  Hello...

  Two days ago after its entry on the App World on my bb torch, he said, "there is a update available for BlackBerry App World... ' and asked if I would like to install now.  I did a bunch of times before with no problems, but I usually choose to restart later.  This time, however, I chose the option "Restart now".. .and then he is stuck in a continuous reboot loop!  Are there opportunities he's going to get out of the loop of reboot on it's own?  I tried to disconnect the battery several times... .no luck.  There may be a control key (or key combination?) that he will restore in a former limited installation or startup sequence (i.e. functional) version?

  I took in the AT & T store, and even though I have the insurance of the goods, the deductible for a replacement of torch (which they were more than happy to help with) was $ 199!  And with 4 more months on my contract for 2 years, I can't simply upgrade to a new BB... or other phone besides.

  Help or suggestions on the LOOP would be greatly appreciated!

  One of my friends asked me to pay for an app for it. When I try to do, AppWorld tells me that this person is not in my contact list and I know that isn't true, I connected the regular BBM contacts and contacts list, I email, numbers, address and everything!
