I have a blackberry 8520, I've had it for about 2 months now.  My blackberry battery gets really hot for the hour, the battery dies.  This happens randomly.  First time it happened to me I was in a movie theater and had the phone on silent. The second time it happened I he was wearing my belt and got home on fort.  I do not keep applications running and usually only use the phone for txts and emails. My fiancee bought his blackberry curve 8520 the same day and it has the same problem.  My blackberry is updated with the latest version of the software.  Anyone else have this same problem?  Any advice on what could be the problem?  Thank you

Even if you do not, there was probably an application running in the background, even left a current Web browser.

Or, your battery could be bad. It happens. If the problem persists, you can redeem it at your local retailer.

Hello and welcome to the community!

If you are certain that there is no intrusion of humidity of 100% (honestly, what you describe seems decidedly like that... but still), so I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, thinking... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, the battery life of my phone was a question of 1 day. It's a landline phone still connected to the charger to work.

    Hello

Will knidly you help me with my phones battery life because I tried to disable the updates so they don't use my phones battery?

I had to update my phone, but I doubt it will be a blackberry because of this problem.

    Thank you.

    What updates?

are you sure this isn't an application?

On device, go to Options, device, application management is a great way to see what your applications with your use of the CPU on Smartphone. Simply drag bar greater than CPU and see what happens. Also touch the CPU menu to see other time variables. I discovered that an application has been eroding CPU cycles on my own

Disable Compression on the memory card? go to Options, device, storage

using a custom theme? Try it for a day that factory by default to avoid your theme

remember the ESC key to close most applications, with the exception of GPS and some chat clients. other applications must use the menu and then exit or close. The key furthest to the right is a key to the House and does not close on its own apps, but will put an end to the calls.

  • Problem of Smartphones has 'battery' - but maybe OS - blackBerry

Well, like many people, I have a problem with my Bold 9900 battery seeming to lose his load when it gets to about 50%. Suddenly, the phone starts to Flash and the battery icon goes red. Review of that State, the software shows the battery is 8%. He did that for about Saturday morning.

However, if I do a reset either hard or soft, the software shows that the battery is about 55%. But it isn't long before her, then does the same problem of showing a low load with red icon & flashing.

The OS is 7.1.0.714 Bundle 2061, 5.1.0.532 platform,

If I just need to reinstall the operating system and, if so, how should I do this?

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, then please try this sequence.

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

If the result is that your BB has the problem (for example, your battery works very well in the other BB, but your BB continues to have this problem with the other "well known" battery), you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to type Spanish letters

I have the Blackberry Curve 8320. I downloaded all the options for Spanish-language and install it on my device. I'm looking for a way to type letters with accents (i.e. a, n, e, etc.). I can't understand how to do, however. I tried the following things:

    • Enter symbols and their research.
    • Hold the letters to see if they would change the new letters (it worked on my old phone, but it wasn't Pantech, BlackBerry).
    • By repeatedly pressing the letters.

Also, before anyone asks, I'm sure the input language is Spanish-oriented. Help, please!

Press and hold the letter (for example "a") and scroll the wheel to select the alternative character.

  • BB in blackBerry bold Smartphones 9790 battery life and temperature

I used Blackberry curve 8520 and not been disappointed until the 9790 bold. Within 5 days, the reduced 1 day-hours battery life.

    It's even worse

1 when the battery life is less 65% is greater than the demand for phone on battery, it of performance and the heat of the battery up to a scary point and die faster.

2 less than 65% the phone take charge and no is not controllable and crashed constantly.

will you please reply as soon as possible because I'm afraid something will happen to me because of the temperature of the phone. I just bought the phone 5 days ago and I can't give it back to the supplier as I bought the UNITED Arab Emirates and now I am in Egypt

There is obviously something weird going on inside your phone.

Let's start with a battery pull.  Something in your operating system does not work correctly if a battery pull he must solve.  Remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it.

If that does not improve the performance of your phone, it might be a good idea to reload the OS of your phone using BlackBerry Desktop Software.  You don't even have to load a new OS, sometimes just reload the same OS makes the turn.

Try these suggestions and post back with your results.

You're probably not close your applications and browser correctly and so run down your battery.

Hi, I just bought the blackberry 9000 and I noticed that as soon as I charged the battery, it still has this green light flashing at the top of the cell phone. This intermittent light is annoying and I want to get rid of, is this normal?

The flashing green light is the indicator of network signal, if you want to disable this, go to menu, options, screen/keyboard, change the light cover off.
