BlackBerry smartphones converting mp3's to ringtones for the 8830

So, I downloaded downloaded blackberry desktop manager & media sync. I understood how to transfer songs from my office / itunes on my BB but how do I convert my music into a ringtone?

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

On your PC, use a free program like Audacity.

On the web, there are a number of sites to do it for you:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can assign a different ringtone for SMS and voicemail?

I contacted T-Mobile and they tell me the ringtone voicemail default setting you have chosen for the notification to SMS text. I wish that my voice messages to e-mail and text have a different ringtone. Can someone check if this is true. If this is not the case, how can I change it? Or are there plans for a software upgrade that will fix this problem?

    Thank you!!!

It's true, it's like it's always been. Your carrier's voicemail message indicator comes to your BB in the form of SMS.

So, that's all. I don't know of any plans change - four or five years have passed and it has not changed.

He should do something by the carrier to change... they are sending the message

  • BlackBerry smartphone email signatures staff extremely obscure for the storm

    Greetings,

I'm a layman, so I'll try to make this short and concise. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to change my email signature. I thought it would be easy, but it turns out that it's more complicated than it should be.

    I took action:

BlackBerry Desktop Manager (no answer, not even an option for e-mail)

Phone smart BlackBerry Storm (no answer, not even an option for signatures)

L ogin to the site Web de BlackBerry via https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw (no solution, wouldn't let me enter a password, when the password has been sent to my device it says 'username and password do not exist.) Please use your device to access BlackBerry Internet Service.)

Once again... Smart phone BlackBerry Storm (no solution under e-mail settings email configuration or setup wizzard or anywhere else, not even an option for signatures!)

I appreciate any help you can give.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones AT & T cancelled my order for the PRIV

AT & T just sent me to say that my order for the PRIV was cancelled "due to an unexpected problem in the system."

Bad luck.  No telling how long I have to wait before AT & t won't support the PRIV.  This week I'll call Customer Service, but I don't expect the rep to know anything.

    Carol Byrd

I suggest you go to the AT & T website and go through the process of order, but on page two, bottom left, search for AT & T local who have the device. Then exit the screen, go to the local store and buy.

    That's what I did

BlackBerry is not open devices. Your carrier can do it for free, or you can buy an unlock code low cost.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Grateful Dead ringtones for the storm

can someone help me find a site for the Grateful Dead ringtones for the storm?

Hi and welcome to the forums,

Any mp3 will do, you can create your own. They are not generic to the storm. Use can use several sites to make them, or you can do it yourself with the audacity software. (Google it). Rintones will play only for about 10-15 seconds.

  • Need for blackBerry Smartphones to synchronize with MS Outlook backup the old files

    Hello

I'm kinda stuck with my Blackberry Bold 9700.  He wiped my old entries in the calendar (even though I have "Keep forever" selected in options), but I need the calendar last points because I used it for the follow-up of meetings, events, etc.

Before you reinstall an old backup, copy in Outlook and then re - install my current version is there any how else to get this info on the file backup and in Outlook.  I really want to install a previous version of the backup on my phone because when I do, he never wears on a large number of the phone ringing, settings, etc., and I still need to do to get things to normal.

    Help, please!

(By the way, I use an older version of the device software on my phone (5.0.0.714) because I can't stand display new calendar version.)

If you do want to restore a previous backup schedule, you can - calendar only, nothing else.

How to convert merge documents and mailing for the docs individual pdf and each with a field record in the merge?

What is an actual field or just a piece of static text somewhere? Whatever it is, you can't do this using the Split Document command. You will need to use a script custom read the value of this 'field' and use it during extraction of pages in the file.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I retrieve contact information for a database without the BlackBerry

This is my story - a couple of weeks, I dropped my 8130 Pearl in a large cup of water. Crystal, Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Yes, google search for ABC Amber IPD Converter and use it. It is not free, but the trial software will manage a limited number of records.

If you end up having a new BlackBerry, you can restore this backup IPD file on your new device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how do you set ringtones

How do you define different ringtones for messages, emails and mms messages, and instant messages. This is my first BlackBerry and any help would be greatly appreciated

Sure. You can enter profiles | Advanced. On this screen, you can click on the profile you want to edit. On the next screen, you will see the different categories that represent what you can change. Thus, for example:

    • For emails - click Messages
    • Telephone - click on the phone
    • For text messages - click the text SMS

Each category will have the same screen, where you can change the ring volume, vibration.
