BlackBerry Smartphones Email page will not turn

I love the feature where the screen goes from portrait to landscape I did rotate my BB. Unfortunately, he seems to have leaned chaning when I look an email or SMS (it worked until yesterday). It does not turn while I am on my home page... I think that I went through every page of menu and option I can find but no luck to find a way to fix it.  Someone at - it ideas?

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Try again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Email icon will not be displayed

I've added an email account to my weeks of phone and the little icon appeared immediately and I received messages.

Randomly, today, the icon has disappeared from my home screen (although the email will continue to come through my Messages folder).  I tried everything turning the phone off tension, then back on, delete the account and setting up again and nothing.

Anyone know why that would happen?

I have a few other suggestions:

    1. It could have been hidden or moved to another folder accidentally.  The absolute best way to fix this is to Options > theme, press the BB Menu key and select Reset default theme.  It will take all of the icons that were accidentally hidden and re - expose their (and move all icons back to their original position).  Note that you need to move all the icons you want moved again.  Try doing a battery pull after that as well.  This could bring.  If this is not the case, proceed to the next step.
    2. Re-register your device on the BlackBerry network and resend your service books.  To re-register your device, go to Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table.  Press the BB Menu key, then click on register now.  You will get a new message from the BlackBerry network.  If you can access your site from the BIS, connect via your phone (review the configuration > e-mail settings) or through your computer (Google your carrier + BIS as keywords if you do not know the site).  Once you have connected, on your Storm, press the BB Menu key, and select send Service directories.  On a computer, select Service books in the left menu and return them there.  If you do not know your login information, you can contact the technical support of your operator and ask them to send the directories of service for you.  It takes just a minute.  Once again, followed with a battery pull.

I hope that one of these two suggestions will work!  Keep us informed!

  • Encryption of blackBerry Smartphones memory devices does not turn off

I want to use blackberry protect but since I got my phone there a small lock next to the checkbox to disable encryption so I can't turn it off. I upraged to os7.1, but the problem remains. Can someone help me?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I'm not sure about the correlation between the encryption and the BB Protect... you jumped from one to another at whiplash speed in your post... do not understand.

But, nevertheless, if encryption is active and locked, then the most likely answer is that your device has a COMPUTER Board policy that requires encryption is active. You can check the existence of a COMPUTER policy via this method:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If you're on BES through your company or otherwise, you have to stop now and talk to your BES admins, because they are in control of it on your device policy.

If you are not on BES, then somehow you got a device that once stood on BES, and who gave you sanitized it not properly before give you the device. You can now clean, but it will be totally destructive. Therefore, please begin by reviewing the Backup link in my sig auto on this post and make sure you have a full and complete backup.

Once you have a backup, you can do this to clean your BB of the it policy:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Subsequently, when you restore, DO NOT make a full restore... rather just do a selective restore of the databases you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid any database that have nothing to with COMPUTER policy, business, etc.. If you restore those, they will dutifully restore COMPUTER policy and you will be right back where you started.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Appworld will not work

    Hello

My Appworld recently stop working.  I removed it, updates downloaded BB and download Appworld yet - still does not work.

When I try to click on the links to Appworld I can't do on my phone.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you!

    tanorstrem wrote:

When the BB is back I went to Appworld icon and clicked on it.  Nothing happened.

If you've forgotten anything and it's really the symptom, then please consider these attempts...

If you have PayPal with your AppWorld account, then please check your PayPal - log in since a PC/browser and make sure that the credentials you use it are identical to those that allows you to connect to MyWorld. Also make sure you have set to PayPal all credit cards, are current and valid... we learned that if there is No linked to your account credit card PayPal which is not valid for some reason any (for example, expired), it will prevent the AppWorld purchases finished, even if this isn't the source of funding. In addition, there must be at least a (valid) credit card attached to the PayPal account.

We also heard from some users who report that create a whole new PayPal account somehow corrects things and allows them to make purchases. I don't know why this works, but there are reports it does.

In addition, you can try this sequence:

    (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
    • He asks to restart the BB,

    (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

    3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones countdown timer will not be reset (also published in Council 8220)

I have put up with this problem for quite a while and starts to get really frustrated with it.  There are several topics that describe the 'why' is happening on other Blackberry (Storm 9530) devices but not how to fix it.  At least not how to solve this problem on a 8220.  They all mention the same symptoms, I'm having and related countdown of the number of "negative" (which does make any sense to me).  It was mentioned that the 744 hours is a turning point, and I agree.  I think it has to do with the idea that the timer was not supposed to go to more than 1 month/31 days/744 hours.

Currently, my timer shows 00:00:00 if I reset, but if I hit the start, he goes to 743:59:59 and countdown starts.  If I try all 1 minute and 5 minutes or whatever it is I have the patience to test, again, it will count down to 0, and then roll immediately to 743:59:59.  If I add 99:00:00, it shows that on the countdown screen, and then if I try to change the time again he auto-remplit with 03:00 (it will still use the rest of I put in next so divided by 24 hours).  Another example, if I put 24:00:00, it will add 24 hours to the existing number (in hundreds) and the field will fill with all zeros again.  I can only reduce the time shown on the clock having a rest and then reset to 0.  Essentially, I can always get to show a multiple of 24 hours, but I'm just trying to set reminders of the laundry, etc...  It's ridiculous!

(v4.6.0.180 platform 4.1.0.61) I've done a zillion battery tire since it started and I don't want to wipe all my applications...

mmlowe, please don't double post your questions in the forum... rude and someone has just to clean it up.  Were responded to your other post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Pearl-BlackBerry-8100/Countdown-timer-won-t-reset/...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Pocket Mac will not recognize Storm

Hey guys. I installed Pocket mac on my macbook pro, but it will not sync with my storm. I installed the program with updates several times with the help of the other posts, but nothing seems to work. When I open the program, it does not recognize that I have my phone on. Yet, I am able to access the files on my phone from the finder. When I try to sync it gives me an error message saying "unable to connect to BlackBerry (error 1); jump. "Nobody knows how to solve this problem? I have been going at it for hours and I'm ready for something to work. Thank you!

Well... I finally got to work after 6 hours. Laughing out loud. I made the mistake of amateur drag sync media in the trash rather than download it again to uninstall. Once I did, it worked fine.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones email works, but not with BlackBerry

    Hello world

I came across a rather strange problem, after some extensive research, I can't find any solution so I came here to ask if anyone can provide all the answers to this.

I have my own email [field] and it works great, reception/sending emails emails and it works with my office etc. outside my BlackBerry - I go in BlackBerry email setup and enter all the details of the email, and it says

'Not found e-mail address field. Email address * is not found. Please veryify that... »

I checked the area and of the box DNS/MX records - all seem to be well (apparently), as the works of e-mail with Outlook and I can access webmail very well...

It all started a week before, I don't know why!

    Hello

Thanks for your help - the problem has now been fixed.

I think the problem has to do with DNS records that I did a Checkup and Diagnostics said that the Reverse DNS was not correctly install, and after some research, I've added a PTR to the mail server.

    p. ex. x.x.x > mail.x.net

    mail.x.NET > x.x.x

When I sent a message to my desktop client to another e-mail address, he said that my email has been updated with the index etc. As the spam filters recognize not (very probably) where my mail came, and this is probably the question with setting up email to work with the BlackBerry!

Everything works now, probably a problem common among others - thanks for your help, much appreciated.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones email sends do not

I just upgraded to a 8800 a 9700 using the restore function of the desktop application blackberry to download all my settings that seems to have worked. I'm now trying to get my work email, e-mail settings were transferred through in restoring and I can receive emails, but I can't send them? When I try to send an email I press the blackberry key and then send it just brings back me to the e-mail page without giving any type of error and it does not send the email. I was in the advanced settings menu and the fom the looks of things, that it is set up with the correct mail server etc all this worked on my 8800 and was fairly easy to set up but this time it simply doesn't! My webmail client is called Horde and I'm on 02 in the United Kingdom. I have the 9700 smartphone v5.0.0.421 running the 5.1.0.116 platform can anyone help because it is a real problem for me?

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

  • BlackBerry smartphone APP world will not register

    Tried to download some applications.

I have always access the authentication ID BB... page and getting stuck there.

The massage I get is "enter the name account a partner to this smartphone ' which can be translated approximately 'enter the id of the user associated with this smartphone?

I've updated apps BB, it has not changed a thing.

Is there a way of "associate (my) id to this smartphone. I can't get what I'm obviously missing :'(

    Thanks in advance

I think that you are on the right track now.

With regard to the 9900... Yes, carriers load their bundle of BONES for the BB, and they grow in the Service books specific to BB for the things they want to encourage their customers to use (for example, their specific map app, their specific App Store, etc.), but the base OS comes from the RIM.

In addition, they may or may not have created a BB ID to this topic... with what we can see now and that you remember (or, more precisely, can't remember), we have no way of knowing for sure.

All we know is that there is a BBID saved with this BB and, if you don't find the credentials for that, your only option will be clean and create a new ID from BB to use with this BB.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone email alert icon not showing on Email folder?

I chose the option to separate my SMS / email messages.  I understand that copies of ALL my messages go to my folder 'messages' standard, but the red alert icon shows only on my 'messages' folder when I receive a new e-mail message.  It does not appear on my e-mail folder.  On my 8830, I could hide my 'messages' folder and manage all my messages SMS & Email to their respective folders, and whenever I got a new email, the small red alert icon would show up through my e-mail folder.  I talked to others on tour in other forums who say that their to work properly.  Their red alert icon will appear next to their EMAIL folder when you receive a new email.  But mine is displayed by my standard 'MESSAGES' folder, so I have to keep the 2 folders side-by-side on my home page, which is very annoying.  E-mail messages still land in my EMAIL account correctly and I can work on this issue, but I don't know where the message was if I didn't keep the handy 'MESSAGES' folder because the alert icon will appear next to that one instead.  Thanks for any help or direction.

    You are welcome.

I think that is how it is planned... on the main messages folder.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Email folders do not appear for each new account - available only generic messages folder

I would like to know if it is possible to obtain new accounts I created to appear in a single folder for each account.

With my first Blackberry Curve (new) work I managed to set up my personal account via the Web of BIS site and it automatically created a unique record for this account. I attended the Canada on the Rogers network.

My new job, I have been give a BB used by a previous employee. I've set up two other accounts using the BIS Web site, rather than the BB, and this time no new files have been created. My email all comes in the main folder of Messages. I use a Verizon BB this time.

Note, I tried to add another account via the BB Setup Wizard and when I chose to set up a new account I get the message: "Browser is disabled by the it strategy" - I guess that's my company policy not BB and Verizon. However, I was able to set up other accounts via the site of the BIS...

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    BW

As JSanders is offline, I'll jump in.

All this information, I infer that your BB does not get purified of is political when gave you. And the it policy does things that prevent you to do as you wish (including possibly hide e-mail icons). If, as you say, you won't be on their BES, then I suggest go back you to these admins and let them clean the BB correctly to remove the it strategy. Then, you will want to clean totally and completely from the beginning.

Good luck and let us know!
