BlackBerry Smartphones import Contacts list of Samsung Rant

I was wondering if there is a way to transfer my contacts from my Samsung Rant to my new BB Bold 9700?  If there is not a way I can do this, without be réentré everything, but an ATT store can which would be good too just want to know before I take the time to return or go to a store to ask for...  Thanks for any imput.

Take a look at this post. It contains links on the use of the switch device Wizard.

If the OS of your phone is not supported, then an AT & T store must have a device inside the phone to transfer numbers.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Since you did a wipe, we can exclude configuration on your BB as causal. As a result, will be with the way in which you are synchronizing. I suggest you go to this link and search on 'double calendar' (or refine as you guessed right) to find KB of which are relevant.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Messenger contacts list resets

I have problems after I updated to OS 4.5.  I have the AT & T 8310 and downloaded the update directly from Blackberry, not the AT & T site.  Whenever I go out the battery and I go to messenger he always tells me that I spent with a new device, I would like to update everyone on my new pin code (which isn't new).  If I didn't, then all my contacts will be deleted. The first time I did it I was stuck on a contact in the waiting, and again, it got rid of all contact that I didn't have before a conversation with.  So I took out the battery and went through the entire process again except says no to update the contacts.  Well I have no contacts now and don't really want to keep for me to add again every time I have to reset the phone or remove the media card upsets.  Someone else has experienced this or knows what to do?  Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

    Hello

There were these issues over the past two months, but I do not remember how committed people.
If I were you, when that happens, I write the BBm contacts somewhere and then remove them one at a time.
Use the Office Manager and in the advanced options, wipe the database of BlackBerry Messenger.

then the fire to the top of the unit and add them one at a time ("one more time", Daft Punk). It should do the trick and solve your problem

  • BlackBerry smartphones transfer contacts to Samsung Entro list

    People,

I had a Samsung Entro with over 250 contacts and recently turned to a Curve 8530. I'm transferring my contacts list of the Entro to the BB. I tried pairing devices and succeeded, but when I tried the transfer with the BB, I can transfer only a contact and it keeps even transfer. Anyone know how to transfer all the contacts at once?

Once again thank you all. However, when I click on Contacts, there is not a Menu option. I have 2 choices - Contact - and if I click on it, it will open my contacts list. The other choice is speed dial - open my speed dial the list of windows. Unless there is something that I am missing. Thanks again.

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphones import contact issues.

Hello, I had some problems with my 8310 for the last 9 hours or more. First of all, I'm trying to import my contacts from a csv file into the 8310 using the BlackBerry Desktop Management software. I tried these steps, even if they were terribly wrong. I found here: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11194&slic...

    1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
    2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and double-click Intellisync. (I still saw nothing that reads Intellisync.)
    3. In the Intellisync® window, click Configure PIM. (Again it is Intellisync with another unknown word PIM)
    4. Select the address book check box, and then click Choose.
    5. Select ASCII import/export , and then click export.
    6. Click Browse and enter BlackBerry.csv for the name of the file. This will create the BlackBerry.csvfile.
    7. Click Open. When you are prompted with the message that this file does not exist, click Yes.
    8. In the section select Application, click OK, and then click OK in the Configuration.
    9. Click on Synchronize now. This will create the CSV file with the field mapping to add contacts.
    10. Add the contact to the CSV file and repeat step 4.
    11. Select ASCII Import/Export , and then click import.
    12. Click Synchronize now. This important contact with the CSV file to the BlackBerry device.

So what I got to do is the following.

    1. Click on synchronize
    2. Menu left click on sync
    3. Click Sync out next to "configure my sync for my office program settings.
    4. Check the address book.
    5. Click Setup
    6. Exporting importing ASCII > next
    7. One-way synchronization device< ascii="">
    8. Then, I put the options delimited by commas and quotes (I don't know what it is)
    9. Next > finish > Ok
    10. Then I click on synchronize in the left menu.
    11. Check the synchronize Organizer data. And click on synchronize.
    12. It works for a second and gives me the following:

    "Error Code 0 x 80040057 check Documentation.

    System specs

    Windows 7 Build 7100.

    Intel Core 2 e5200

    2 GB of Ram

    ASUS P5KPL-CM

I'm so lost and so frustrated with this thing, it's unreal.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Problem solved! I figured out that the header of the csv file was not fair. They must have a header of category on them. You can do this:

    1. export to a csv data file you want to import your old software
    2. Adding one of the elements of data to your blackberry
    3. export data from blackberry to csv format
    4. copy old data first to the new file csv file properly formatted CSV of blackberry.

I repeat if you have this error Error Code 0 x 80040057 check the Documentation. Is your solution.

  • List of blackBerry Smartphones Delete contacts

I show three different lists of contacts on my 9310 curve and I want to remove two of them to remove all duplicates. Apart from the removal of each contact individually (I don't want to have to do with nearly two hundred of them) I don't see a way to remove a list of contacts. Anyone got any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Good point.

I used Blackberry Desktop. When the phone is connected there is an option in the menu device named clear data. When it is clicked, you should see a list of the different types of data, you can choose to delete.

Each list of contacts is displayed in this list, but only as an address book and a number of entries - you can not see the names of the contacts list.

If you know the number of entries there are in the list you want to delete (you can see on the phone in the contact list itself) you can select the lists you want to remove. Otherwise, you can remove all the address data and create a new list of contacts in your normal sync source - in my case it was my Outlook contacts folder.

This is what worked for me.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones import/export of contacts, calendar, etc.

    Hello

I'm trying to transfer my data from my old Nokia to my new BB9900. I hope that the current version of the Desktop software is something like version-1, because I consider that it is entirely insufficient. I expect that this software allows to export/import contacts and other data. This would change/upgrade to update these data using tools more comfortable to my Mac instead of typing any change in my BB. However, nothing like this is available.

In addition, when you back up contacts, calendar etc. is is rather not transparent what happens. The program seems to ignore the selection 'calendar' or anything else and everything just records to my Mac. And - see above - in a proprietary format that does not yet use of these data.

Yes, this message is responsible for someone @ rim. Simply for the fact that the www.blackberry.com site does not provide a link "contacts" were, we could send these complaints.

    Greetings - Bob

Gotcha.  I don't know how you try to import the csv file.  Did you use this guide?

    http://BTSC.webapps.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/ViewDocument.do?externalId=KB11194&sliceId=1&cmd=displayKC&d...

I also found this link because you are using a mac.

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/desktop-software-for-Mac/re-how-to-Import-CSV-file-using-Mac-...

The number of email account... do you have you set up your email on the phone using the configuration of messaging application?  I'm trying to see how this could happen and how to fix it.

If you have a csv file good, you may need to start over if you are not using the guide above.

    Another option:

I had a similar problem.  I deleted all the contacts on the phone and ended up importing the csv file in gmail.  I set up my account gmail on the phone and everyone stood on the device.  What e-mail service, are you using?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones very strange list Contact question (Blackberry 8900)

    Hey guys,.

Good so my problem is this. I have just recently today my BB8900 and am very happy with it, except for a small problem; my contacts list doesn't seem to work, be it!

What I mean by that is, I saved all my contacts on my media card in my old handset (like the BB uses MicroSD) as well as all my songs/Photos. The songs and photos themselves attached to the BB with absolutely no problems whatsoever, but the contacts are not just do it!

I also kept copies of all my stuff on my PC so I tried to do it via the transfer; but when I open my files of BB and click on "other > Contacts" all my contacts appear, so copy them via hard transfer do not seem to work either...

Then, I went to the only other option available to my knowledge and began to fill manually the contacts list. I filled out the name and number, went to 'Save' - but alas my Yearbook says still * Contacts * of no.... I'm more frustrated!

    Could someone Please help me!

Thank you very much in advance!

Open your address book again, tap Menu > filters and uncheck all the filters that you have controlled.

On the other subject, even once, you can't use your MicroSD to store contacts or import of the MicroSD card in the address book.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, deleting a list of contacts

Somehow when I start my new storm of synchronization, I'm done with 3 Desktop Contact lists - still, with the title of "Desktop".  Now, when I go to Contacts, I have 3 copies of each entry.  Anyone know how I can remove a contact list individually without resetting the unit? Thank you.

I think I found it.   I did use BB Desktop Manager to back up my BB Bold device.  Then go back in the backup/restore, click the Advanced button to display the list of all DBs of device.   I had two entries to address (address and address - all).  We showed some 900 contacts the other 1800, which is where I suspect my duplicates occur.  I selected the address overall and clicked on delete / erase (regardless of the button).   He basically wiped my address book from my BB device.   I was then able to sync using BB Desktop Manager to replace all my contacts from my e-mail on my device.

Under Contacts-> Options, there are still (2), Desktop Contact lists, but in my address book, there is that a single instance of each contact appear, so I'm happy.    It is an alternative / temp to have to wipe your BB device, which was the only alternative, that I could find online.

    I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphones download contacts

Hi, I'm new to the world of blackberry - ask if there is a way to transfer all my contacts from my old nokia to my curve? Or I have to input each one - by - hard - one contact?

    Thank you in advance. S

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Usually the seller (Vodaphone in this case) switch them when you buy the unit. I Sue this option first.

If you use the same SIM which was in the Nokia try the following:

Import contacts from the SIM card to your contact list

If this does not work you can try using the Switch Device Wizard in the Desktop Manager software:

How do I switch devices using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0
