BlackBerry smartphones migration from business to personal

I just got my blackberry 9800 torch. I bought on ebay and did not because it's a business phone.

I don't have a business account and I would like to find an option 'restore' or to 'turn on' personal characteristic such as the configuration of e-mail (google mail).

I'm new to blackberry and I would appreciate comments and help.

Thank you

Frank

Ahhh Yes... as I suspected... is not that the BB is set up for the company, is that it is not yet configured for personal messaging...

To use the Push RIM owner messaging capability, you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have a compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), then you will have personal email added to the e-mail Setup Wizard.

Good luck!

  • How to blackBerry Smartphones have a business account?

Good day to all... I'm new here, who need help on "how to turn on my business account? Any help would be gladly appreciated tnx!

Hello and welcome to the community!

How to activate a company account is to work for a company that has BES or subscribe to an email provider that provides BES. Then you get your instructions for activation against them.

But what I think is that you should use 'normal '... E-mail Gmail, Yahoo, or any other personal e-mail account connected to the Internet, but you will see 'Enterprise' offered when you enter the e-mail Setup Wizard. What this means, is that you are not properly enabled, from your mobile service provider, for a level of service BIS which will allow you to set up e-mail on your device. If you need to talk to them on the subscription to a package of sufficient data to enable the services you need.

    Good luck!

    @Arun3

No, your BlackBery Torch PIN cannot migrate to another device, as the PIN is hardcoded for this material of BlackBerry, and Priv will have a new unique PIN are entrusted to him.

    Hi josh2tyte

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

Most often a battery pull reboot is enough to solve this problem, but... you close application correctly! If we hold the Menu for a few seconds, it will open a screen that will display all the programs running in the background, usually five will always be there (host, BBM, Message, phone, browser) you can always check if any other applications. run in the background.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones go from curve to "BOLD" (matter of BES)

Sorry if this has been asked before...  I'm moving from a tank to "BOLD" (two AT & T) 8310.  My business is a little slow and don't want and then wait a week or two before I start to get emails.  I have to warn my company to switch to recover email corp (BES) or destop Manager does this?  Thank you!

If the company has the port open on the BES (port 3101 if I remember correctly), then you can activate via Desktop Manager. As long as you are connected to the network (either in the office, or connected to the VPN) you can at least try.

If all goes well, when you connect the new device to your computer and open the Desktop Manager, you will get a prompt on the change to the use of identification number of the device again. Then, you will get a prompt to regenerate the encryption key. If this sequence happens so your new device will be activated.

  • BlackBerry smartphones go from 9700 to 9900

    Hello

Next week I'll receive my Bold 9900, and I will transfer my documents from my old Bold 9700 to 9900.

Question: Can I do it just with back-up?

Also, I will be giving my old 9700 "bold" to a friend, but I want to delete all my info, files, email accounts, and anything else. How can I do this?

    Thank you

Yes the new desktop software allows you to synchronize your old phone with your new device and copy items in all. It backs up yiour current device and then transfer the details on your new phone

There is also an option on your current blackberry to reset to the factory settings. He will wipe away all of your details, but be careful, once it is not the way back

  • BlackBerry Smartphones canoe put in place personal messaging

    Hello

I'm quite new to BB, although I used a curve 2 years before moving to the Iphone. I bought a Torch 9800 unlocked South African Vodacom and now use it with a SIM ORANGE MAURITIUS. I am registered with the network on a BIS plan (I see the BB logo on my home screen - and already received from the network registration message). I am also registered on the internet and already have confirgured my emails on the internet). But have some problems:

    1. it seems that my phone does not accept some of the service books sent by my provider, especially email and the browser ones. They told me I would not be able to browse the internet until they upgrade their platform (or something like that) but would be able to receive emails - which is the most important thing for me.

    2. in the email set up screen I see the enterprise activation option. My company does not use any of the Exchange Server, and I want to configure my email [email protected]and [email protected] . However I can't see the option to set up personal email in the email setup screen.

    Help, please!

    Hey grfanchette,

You will need to contact your service provider and have them activate personal e-mail on your account, as soon as it's done so you should be able to get the email service books.

Let us know how make you out.

  • Do not delete blackBerry Smartphones emails from the server

However, if I delete when you access these accounts through the Internet on my computer, emails are not removed from my phone. I have delete set in handheld and mailbox. • BlackBerry smartphones, try to add my personal email to my work bb

I have a Curve 9360.  My provider is AT & T.  It's my phone for work, but I would like to add my personal email.  Of course, I want to separate emails.

I went to Setup > E-mail accounts > Internet e-mail account and was able to easily add my gmail account.  Unfortunately, I don't get my gmail.  Looks in the configuration of the gmail address is here.

I expected to see a second small icon envelope containing my gmail, but so far nothing.

    Help, please

Very probably... you need to talk about them, if what you're trying is even allowed.

    Good luck!
