  On your home screen, click Text Messages > Options, scroll to SMS and change it to 7-bit. Press menu, and select Save.

  I went in the sounds of change and menu alerts then sounds for the profile selected and changed the notifier of text message. Every other Notifier ringtone and message I changed it (i.e. e-mail) worked well. It is not a huge problem just annoying. Any advice?

  As with some of the other posts, I read that it was a matter of familiarization with the phone. There are two reasons would not work the tone of the text message: 1) number format seems better work when entered 17031234567 rather then have dashes or leaving one offshore. (2) If a person has a personalized ring tone message should be changed, and because I had that each text that I received from someone with a custom ring tone had a tone preset text. I hope this helps someone who had the same problem.

  MMS (what is "picture messaging") depends on your device having a good plan your provider BIS. BIS requires the reception on your device, Service books your provider. The ability to offer books to your device depends on your device is compatible with your network of carriers.

  So, with all this, I recommend that you re - contact TMO for you sure you meet all of these criteria... only they can tell you if your specific device model is even compatible with their network of data and more if they have configured a package of sufficient data to enable the MMS for you.

  After apply software version 10.1.0.4181 (size 6 MB) on my Q10, I can no longer send or receive text messages, pls help.   However, the problem that I have been experincing, I had before, where I can not send sms message. I think I may have hit a hot key and basically does not allow you to send a message.
