  On this screen, the third line of the information... mine says:

  • V5.0.0.1015 (Bundle 1656, platform 4.2.0.442)

  That means I'm on the 5.0 version of OS, 1015.

  I recommend to create a new Briefcase on 64-bit Windows computer and copy the content in there and then you can sync with your 32 bit and it should work perfectly.

  I think to update my "BOLD" to the OS 5.0 but I wanted to know if the phone will keep a version of my old OS or if it deletes it.  I saw a video on youtube and the guy he said he 'could' save a version of it.  Also, when I checked the updates on my phone it says it was not all available even if on the Desktop Manager, it says that there is.  Is it still useful to upgrade?   The upgrade of the OS on your handheld does not keep a copy of the old operating system, when the new operating system is installed.  If you do a backukp through DTM then you will have all your data and applications (not BlackBerry).

  If the upgrade does not work well, you need to go back to the previous operating system that works.  Then, you need to restore your data and applications.

  WARNING 5.0.0.82 2 is a nightmare.  Search in this forum for all of the horrible experiences.

  I read the application jad file and compare the midlet-version with the version number of the installed application (see codemodulemanager) string. If there is a newer version I request and view a browser with the remote download jad. You can also download the cod and use codemodulemanager to install it.

  A quick Google search found other people complaining of this problem and some said that the opening BBM and configure it took care of the problem.

  I was wondering if anyone else might have had a similar problem. I paid for an app, photo loader screen and when I updated my blackberry curve 8530 the app that was there when it restarted waas unpaid without version. It only bothers me because I had the full paid version.

  Whenever you purchase an app you must save the registration code somewhere safe if you can re-introduce again, if necessary. I store all my people in password keeper.

  Where have you bought the app? You will need to contact the promoter to get returned to you registration code.
