I have restored BB and now there is no hotpsot in my bb. And when I check for update BB its projection "your Blackberry is up to date.

The current version is 7.0.0 Bundle 2395

The Mobile Hotspot feature is available in devices running OS7.1 and later versions.

Use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager to update your device software.

    Hey, I downloaded the software and tried to install it but its been stuck on 6% to backup your data (social RSS) and I can't reboot my device as it keeps going back to the loading screen. I tried to join my bb desktop but it goes just gray and unresponsive when I plug my phone into the laptop, pulled the battery and everything, really stuck to the someone can help? see you soon

    The only other way I know is do what you did, to connect to the computer... and during the connection, insert the battery and see if it recognizes the device.

    Please clarify - you nave never installed all Desktop software? If so, that would prevent using BBSAK or JLCmder... both require the basic BB drivers must be installed and those that are installed on your PC during the installation of the desktop software.     Hmm... I don't know why your BBM contacts are suspended.

    • I would try to backup your BBM contacts on your media card (open BBM > Menu key > Options > backup locally to media card).
    • Then, to delete BBM on your device in Options > advanced > Applications (options > device > Applications)
    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    • Now, reinstall BBM using your Blackberry browser to www.blackberry.com/bbm

    You can also benefit from BBSAK (BBSAK.ORG)... that is a good utility to attempt to recover a BB of. You will have to experiment a lot, though, to try to connect your BB to your PC/USB just at the right time in the boot sequence (as the loading bar progresses) in order so that it can be recognized and allow you to proceed.

    Here are some other items that might be useful:
