BlackBerry smartphones HELP! My 9860 is frozen trying to update software
Hey, I downloaded the software and tried to install it but its been stuck on 6% to backup your data (social RSS) and I can't reboot my device as it keeps going back to the loading screen. I tried to join my bb desktop but it goes just gray and unresponsive when I plug my phone into the laptop, pulled the battery and everything, really stuck to the someone can help? see you soon
Try to start the machine in safe mode and see if you can cancel the update process.

The only other way I know is do what you did, to connect to the computer... and during the connection, insert the battery and see if it recognizes the device.

(1) connect devices
(2) Goto my computer--> C drive-> program-> common file file-> Research In Motion.
(3) Goto AppLoader-> click on the Loader.
(4) Minwhile click charger: press enter together.
5) try for some time.
(6) don't try to redo the step still no work, but with on the dough.

BlackBerry Smartphones dead phone after the failure of the update software - error symbol
I've updated my BB device software, but the process of update froze at the end when the device is supposed to initialze. Now, when I turn on the phone, all I get is an error of symbol that resembles the cross symbol with the number 543 under application. When I plug in the USB cable, the computer recognizes the phone and the Manager believes he is as well, however I can not connect to the device.

I tried to update my Blackberry 8300 to the 4.5 update well, I got the error 507. I tried to restore the data, it froze my computer and then came up with the error 200, I then searched in forums and got a program that has washed my camera and it came with the error 507 again once, I tried to rehook it to my computer, the software does not recognize the device, I'm trying to go through the application loader and enter my password , it lads, trying to connect to the device, software research and can't find any software to download on my device. I tried to download the software of device from at & t directly on my computer to put on the phone, and it always happens with zero when I run the application laoder. at the top of the screen, it says disconnected and does not recognize that I am still connected to the unit at all.
It will not restore, it won't run application loader to reinstall the operating system, I can't find anything that helps! I know that my software is updated on my computer and up to date, I know it works because I can't uplad things to my other blackberry, its not working do not now!

1 make sure that your USB cable is connected to one of the main rear USB ports of the PC. A USB hub, or USB Monitor port not a USB port on the front of the PC.
2. using loader.exe? Restart your PC, plug in the BB to the USB port, run loader.exe and see if he can find the BB.

507 means that it not there no OS on the device at all, so nothing to be "factory reset" or anything else. Only a good OS reload will get going again.
I recommend the following, on a PC (you can not do this on MAC):
1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,
(2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
(3) download and install to your PC, the BB OS package you want:
4) remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
- C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
Now try these tips, but replace the software of office/AppLoader instead (if/when indicated) Web site:

- KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any State

You may need to try different packages of OS... maybe that you are trying is corrupted somehow.
You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:
- Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
- If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
- If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
- Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
- If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents
When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

Users can perform a full or selective data backup by using the tool of backup and restore in BlackBerry Desktop Manager using the following steps:
- Connect the BlackBerry device to the computer that is running BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
- Double-click on the backup and restore.
- Select backup to perform a full backup or select Advanced to make a backup of specific databases.
- Choose a location to save the backup file, and then click Save.
Step #4
To perform a clean installation of the BlackBerry Device Software, do the following:
- Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
- Double-click The Application Loader icon.

I'm relatively new to the whole community of smartphone, and I fear I actually broke my Blackberry!
I noticed that e softwareupdated was available for my Blackberry, so I chose to download it. The problem is my phone kept freezing in the process, and I was getting a little impatient. Finally, my phone told me that there was not enough memory, so I should delete some applications to make room. So I selected a few to remove, and my phone froze AGAIN. Now, if at all, it has frozen or not, I'm not sure... Maybe I'm too impatient for the life of a smartphone.
In any case, I decided to take out the battery to reset the phone, I have grown really tired and has to work in the morning, I so wanted to just turn my phone and turn it on again, put my wake up and go to sleep. As I just re - turn the phone on, it starts to load up as it usually does, then a screen appears:
"Blackberry 5.0.0.496 platform.
Then it lists a whole bunch of items in the phone, in alphabetical order, the first being "Addressbook."
Then, in seconds, the screen goes all white and a small message will appear "Error App 606" and it gives me the only option of resetting my phone. I click on reset, and it's a cycle... The phone seems to be loading as it normally would, and then he'll come back to this screen of the Blackberry platform, then the App error 606.
I ring my network provider in the morning to see if they can help me, but I was wondering if anyone of you here would know about this at all? I feel so stupid for the cause!

If your device is not detected so you had to force the detection of your device by using the Application Loader. But remember in this process you will lose all data on your device, I hope you have your backup device, follow this Knowledge Base to recover your device:

I was wondering if someone could help I have tried everything to fix the error 552 on my curve 8520 but nothing works, and now the phone will not connect to my laptop, I tried apploader now it says device current is updated, office says unable to connect to the device (from the outset) software and the phone does nothing except sitting on a white screen with "software reloading 552" written on it.
Could someone please help?

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:
- KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe
It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.
But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.
