BlackBerry Smartphones setting remove as default option when deleting e-mail

When I want to delete an e-mail I hit the ball and the list pending comes from high-response, response with impatience, to all, open attachment, Delete.  It is default for the response... is it possible to change therefore default to delete?

You can press the delete key

    • with a few OSes 5.0.X.X, BBm is a basic application and cannot be deleted.
    • BUT the other OSes, the BBm 5.0.X.X became an addon application and can be removed. (i.e. 5.0.0.43 6 and 5.0.0.462)

If you have the first category OS, I suggest you try and install BBm for example using AppWorld. Perhaps by upgrading BBm, it will become an add-on.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can not put in place a personal e-mail account. I have only option to activate a company account

Hello.  I've worked for a company and access enterprise server needed to receive e-mails from company on my Curve 9330.  When I need is more capability, I called my provider, Sprint and cancelled my plan Enterprise Server and was able to set up a personal email account.  I need to recharge the phone to the default values and now when I go in the installation program to configure a personal e-mail account I only get the option.  When I select the email icon I automatically join in a sign 'no active account' and wonder of my enterprice account activity by providing an email and a password.  I don't have these and my personal e-mail id and password do not work.  I looked through the forums and follow the suggestion which has not solved the problem.  I also called Sprint and confirmed I have more company on my account/plan, in addition to checking with my local cable/internet provider that they do not cause the issue.  I rebooted the device 3 times today and have not made any progress.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for official support... but, this time, not only ensure that BES is deleted, but the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) is active, this is necessary in order to have personal email accounts on your BB device (as well as many other owners of BB services).

    Good luck!

  • Evil blackBerry smartphones set up outlook

I just bought a blackberry 8330.  I have tried sync my bb with outlook upward. Ok installed Desktop Manager and I have the 2007 version of outlook, but when I went to set up Desktop Manager and add my calendar, my computer couldn't find Outlook as one of the configuration options.  He finds one couple of other things under the calendar but not outlook.  I tried to reinstall microsoft office 2007 with outlook and I tried to set it up again and it still does not find outlook.  According to the procedure I found online, Desktop Manager should automatically find outlook, what is not on my computer. Ideas for what could be wrong? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You have the same email on Blackberry and on the PC, both are by default?

On the BB, see options by default/options/advanced services. Make sure that the other stuff and CICAL associated

with your primary e-mail address. Go to Outlook, tools, e-mail accounts and check there.

If you find a mismatch, try configuring again. If you do not check your MAPI interface as

    listed in the attached link.

Let us know how it goes!

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones to remove permanent Wifi browser - how?

I haven't bought a 9700 ROGERS no contract to replace my phone to work. The policy of the company, is that none of the mobile devices cannot have any method of navigation interenet. The 9700 will not network go, unless you have a blackberry data plan and I have nothing but personal messaging plan which works well. The problem I have is that the wifi browser still works and even when I remove the wifi browser in the service books, it is just when I do a battery pull. How can I permanently get rid of the wifi browser without being connected to a BES? (the company doesn't have a BES) - hide the icon isn't enough...

Thank you J Sanders. Sounds like something that will work. Forgive my ignorance, but where can I find version 5.0.0 for my 9700? -When I search the Blackberry site and enter my PIN (a ROGERS device) they do not show a BONE available for the 9700 yet...   I can't get the unit off I can? I really think what I need to know how to "install your current OS on your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer?  Thanks for your help, otherwise I can't use this unit that I paid $600 for

    Before you start:
Install your current OS on your smart phone BlackBerry to your PC.

    1. on the PC, go to C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Share d\LoaderFiles\OS version\Java.
Create a new folder and name it deleted.

    2A c:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Share d\LoaderFiles\OS version\Java

Find the .cod named net_rim_bb_browser_dameon and move it to your new folder cod.

    3. plug the device and on your PC, open the Desktop Managver > AppLoader > Add/Remove programs and work your way through the process to remove the net_rim_bb_browser_dameon module. You won't notice any changes until after you see the screen of the Application loader, don't click on the boxes, click Next, then finish. ONLY you will see it after clicking Finish a quick notice that the module browser_daemon is deleted.

Close DM at the end leave your device restart.

After a reboot, you can get a java error at startup. Ignore it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how remove you?

I have a blackberry 9650.  How to remove the saying sent by my blackberry when you send mail to answer?

    Thank you

Oh sorry... who seems to only discuss the auto sig, which applies to the BES KB and not BIS. Try this instead:

    1. Home screen
    2. Setup
    3. E-mail settings
    4. Connect to BIS (credentials if they apply)
    5. Select the relevant e-mail account
    6. In the General Options section, enter in the "Signature" box to view what you want

You can also manage your configurations of account BIS from a PC/browser through your Web of BIS carrier site:

To find your level of BB OS through 5.x (I don't remember to 6.x):

    • Home screen > Options > on

The third line of the text... mine says v5.0.0.1015 which means I'm at level OS 5.0, version 1015.

    Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphones to remove Word or Excel Document?

How to remove a word (or excel spreadsheet) document from my blackberry?  It would seem logical that when I select a file name for the document in the word 'to Go' "open a file" list that I would have the option to "Delete", but this is all there is "Open a file", "File properties" and "Cancel".  I looked and tried all other ways I can think of and can't know how it's done!  What Miss me?

Try this: open your media icon > Menu > Explorer and navigate to the location of your file and delete.

  • BlackBerry smartphones no 'compose SMS' only option on non-professionnelle 8700

Hey, I just bought a second hand 8700 and it has no policy of TI in security options (I already tried the policy.bin method to solve this problem) and it has never been used by a company. It gives me the Email "Compose" and "MMS composer" options, but not the option "compose SMS". I went through the SMS settings in Options and nothing no chance. Please help I really need this phone to work properly.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Interesting... a COMPUTER policy may or may not be causal here. But, if it is... it is possible that there's a COMPUTER policy, even if nothing shows on the screen. The it policy "in white" can be set up but have no display there... and it may limit the things. The best way to remove a policy that IT is through this process:

That said, if the problem persists, then the it policy is not original and we will have to try other things.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Get rid of smiling face when my PTT is unavailable

I got a notice that I had a Blackberry Messenger invitation (represented by the smiley face in the top of my screen), but when I go to "push to talk" (which I believe is where the blackberry Messenger) it tells me "PTT cannot service not available, please contact AT & T.»

This phone is for my work, so it would appear that they didn't pay for this plan, which is fine... but how do I now get rid of the smiley face? What choices do I have? It seems small, but its pretty boring.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Voice chat is not the Blackberry mail application.

You must select the mail application from Blackberry on the screen of the handset applications.

If you do not use and do not want the icon that you can go to Options - Advanced Search - Applications.

Select the Blackberry messenger and click the menu button and delete. Hard reset and it will disappear.

A couple of weeks, I have recharge my phone and he kept on his auto turn off or not charging well so when I rang Virgin they told me to buy a new battery I did, I loaded the new battery in another phone blackberry by following the instructions at and when I got the new battery for my blackberry torch It started to load as usual but the screen turned white and it turn off its self.

You need to ring up Virgin again and explain to them that it was not the battery because of your questions.  It is for them to take in charge your device and, as appropriate, to support RIM to get is resolved.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 2 BBs with two numbers and even e-mail address

    Hello

I have a BB with a number of Vodafone in Portugal. I want to buy now
Another BB to use with another number to Vodafone, this case of
    Ireland.

My question is if I can have two phones with the same
at the same time Gmail address? When an e-mail is received, it will go
two phones at the same time?

    Thanks for your help

    Manual

    Jameskemp is correct.

When you configure an e-mail address on your BlackBerry, you are associating the delivery of this email address to your phone PIN code.  You can have an e-mail address goes to two different pins at the same time.

    Now, you know.
