BlackBerry Smartphones turn off email work on BB to the office where e-mail comes to my computer

User "BOLD" of Blackberry - first week

I love to get the email of my work on my BB when I'm away from the office or at a meeting, but when I'm in the office, is there a way I can stop the email to go to my BB?

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply.

OK, IF you're on BES, you shouldn't bring later in the day for the BB.

Well, you don't always offer as much detail... but I'll take a stab.

ON your BlackBerry, go to the manage connections > Mobile network.

Here, clear data services. You will receive and send ANY data, even if you are connected to a source of WiFi. No mail electronic, no browser, no data. Only the phone and SMS will work essentially.

If you travel outside your country, you should also organize an international calling plan with your carrier.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones turn off email notification

I just bought a blackberry curve and he got the installer with my email, etc. However, I am trying to find a way to not have it warn me when there are new emails. I don't want a vibration or a ring. Is there a way to do this?

Also, on my old phone (Palm Treo) I could preview the ringtones that came with the phone prior to their assignment. I can't find a way to do it with the curve.

    Help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Caren

Hello Caren. Congratulations on the curve. I guess you're new on the phone... If not, sorry for the "long" answer  The simplest is to press the Menu button, go to profiles, Advanced, go profile you use, Menu key again, Edit, scroll / click Message (email @ address.com), click selection next case and select none. Do the same for in a case below. Make sure you scroll down and select No. look Notify me during calls to.

Regarding ringtones are you "" by assigning them to specific contacts?

I just got my phone set up for eMail. Now it drives me crazy because I don't know how to disable the sound alert that says when I send.  Please tell us if you know how to do this.

    Thank you very much.

If you have just personal (with BIS), you can set up filters to messages on your BIS carrier's Web site.

If you are on a BES you will have the choice on the device to filter your corporate email (under Messages |) Options | E-mail filters). Personal emails will always be your carrier's Web site.

Yes, check your profile. If you don't have a phone that profile, modify your ringtones and alerts on e-mail messages to MUTE the volume.

Hello jhnstn33. In the most recent device software if your profile is silent, silent, or vibrate then you won't get the tones when you dial a number. I don't know if this has changed in 4.5 or 4.6. What software version are you running? You can find under Options | Everything.

  • My blackberry curve blackBerry smartphones turns off while I use it

OK, I was on my phone and I had a question about something so I went to the browser and typed in www.google.com and then it started to load and then just turned off and returned. I thought that it was just this site but I have tried other sites and it does the same thing. Help, please!

Batteries can fail in different ways, with different symptoms. Must show a load, but not be able to provide the necessary power under load. This is what I suspect in your case - battery is simply respond to demand for the phone, but the extra power needed for browser, screen and so on cannot be provided and unit turns off.

Also, execution of the lithium batteries at the bottom constantly is hard on them. They do better when they are upgraded frequently.

I think you need a new battery. Try to load before he gets to 20% and recharged during the night when you sleep.

  • BlackBerry smartphones turn off the routing of email during a stay

I belong to those whose e-mail business options have crashed in open State (so I can't change any settings) and IT cannot reinstall my OS (the only way) before I left for vacation. If I turn off data services in my mobile network options which will prevent emails are passed on to my BB from the server of the company? That's what I hope.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

As well as all data services (for example, web, navigation, mapping, etc.), Yes... who will stop email delivery.

  • BlackBerry smartphones turn off WiFi on Pearl 8120 on Orange

I want to be able to turn on and turn off the WiFi on my pearl. I am new to blackberry so I am struggling to find how to turn it off. I have worked on how to disable the Bluetooth, but not WiFi.

I want to turn it off, because I'm not a big user of access to the internet and I am trying to improve the life of the battery. Also, I guess I don't need WiFi to receive regular emails.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thank you for that.

He has been to find the connection management option that has been the hardest part. There is an icon go on the home screen which then brings you to the display of connection management. Once I found it was easy!

The screens on the Pearl Orange network supplied appear to be different from the standard.

  • 'Data Connection Refused' blackBerry smartphones turn off the notification!

Hello, I'm on sick leave for the next three months and my work doesn't pay for my phone, and I really didn't want to know how many emails are piling up in my Inbox, while I'm away, so I called AT & T today and cancelled my internet package.  So, right now, I'm only using my blackberry as a phone and calendar, tasks, etc.  There is a notification that appears on top of my phone that says 'Data Connection Refused'.  I looked through the options and I can't understand how to transform that turned off, any suggestions?

    Thank you!!!

This means that your SIM is not provisioned for BlackBerry services... which is obvious as your request to cancel your BlackBerry data plan. To delete "Data Connection Refused' on top of your device go Options -> Mobile network -> Data Service: Off.

  • Phone of blackBerry Smartphones turn off all while listening to music

I have a Blackberry Torch 9810. About a week or two ago, I updated my phone (cause really jumped to the top and update notification of insistent the * beep * seemed to be the only way for it to leave me alone). If I read correctly the version information, I've updated it's software Bundle 1997 (v 7.1.0.694 platform 5.1.0.507) 7.1. For a little while, everything was fine.

Then, while listening to the music while the comings and goings city, my song came end and nothing came after him. After several seconds of silence, I pulled out my phone and I tried so that he could play the next song (I put it usually just on shuffle and has no way for me to go through the rotation of set). But the entire phone was off. Push the power button failed to return. I flipped open the case back, pulled out the battery, checked the connections and jumped it in. A few seconds later the phone turned on and proceeded to go through the painfully slow loading screen. When I navigated to the section music in the media section, there is a green bar at the bottom of the screen and the number of songs was counted up to scratch, as if I had just it synchronized and set to new music.

Since then, this happened several times. Part of the time that the phone was in my pocket, but not always. It doesn't happen until the end of a song. The phone will not respond to any keys until the battery has been removed and then put back in place.

Therefore, I beg this community, what should I do to fix this? Help, please!

So, I followed the steps you provided for the first solution... except for the first. It is not evident how to remove any previously installed my PC operating system software. Thinking about it now, it seems that I should try control through the available through the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs tool. I just wanted to see if it was the right thing to do. If not, could you tell me how to remove the software?

It's exactly because BB OS packages are installed on the PC/Windows, they would be removed from the PC/Windows in the usual manner. In the normal list ("Add/Remove Programs" or "Uninstall a program", depending on your version of Windows), it would say something like «BlackBerry Device Software»... "and include in this line item, the model BB so number BB OS level it contains. Is it doesn't have these line items, then there is no packet of BB OS installed on the PC... and, for this really works, it must be a (the one you want to put on your BB). What you're aiming for is two positions that focus on the BB because programs installed Windows the list... one for the desktop software and another for the BB OS Package.

    Kallisti333 wrote:

All other operations don't lead to any sort of command prompt to install the operating system

Hmmm... interesting... it may be that the version you have installed on your PC (using the step 3 above) is the version already installed, in which case it could not make an offer. If this is the case, then the best way to 'force' to install for your BB is to work around the Desktop software and proceed directly to the CHARGER. EXE... you go to that via Windows Explorer or CMD/DOS window and then run it. You will find the LOADER. EXE in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.

You can learn more about this procedure (LOADER. EXE, bypassing Desktop software) here:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC.

It is also possible for the Software Desktop jump, if BB OS installed (to the PC) package does not exactly match the model number of the BB. It is also not known if there is no package of BB OS installed on the PC at all. In addition, he will jump if the operating system package came from another carrier and that the SELLER. XML files have not been eliminated.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones turn off an option

I don't want to get confirmation on my Blackberry, every time I have send an email from my Outlook to my laptop.  How to turn off this option?

    gdimond wrote:

Is it a problem that I can do on the phone or should I load the program of Blackberry Desktop on my computer for a fix?

    You should

    1. Go to your Messages folder > press the Menu key > Options > General Options > scroll down for > hide sent Messages = Yes. And save.
    2. Or, Alternatively, contact your BES administrator and ask it to disable the synchronization of your Outlook, messages sent to your device. Sorta, I doubt they make for it, so stick to #1.
  • BlackBerry smartphones turn off GPS.

    I'm new to BlackBerry.

I turned on the GPS to try it out and it works fine.  I then return to the E911.  I expected that GPS would not work then, but it also proved that the browser does not work either.  I activated the GPS back but the browser worked fine.

If I leave the GPS on:

Drain the battery even if I don't use this feature?

Is there a way to autmatically turn it on when the browser is open and turn it off when it closes?

    Thank you.

I just turned off the GPS on my lap and was able to use the BlackBerry browser with no problems. You don't need GPS to use the BlackBerry browser.

  • BlackBerry smartphones turn off the Blackberry "BOLD"

OK, I know this sounds stupid, but what is the correct procedure to turn off and restart the Blackberry "BOLD"? I hav tried holding in the key power, I get the stop message, press any key to cancel, I leave it alone and the backlight turns off, left alone for 10 minutes and then press the Power button again and the phone comes to life instantly, with the phone in the same position as when I wanted it off, i.e. it looks like it's just in mode 'sleep' as it is consumed in less than a second. I resorted to the battery, but it becomes laborious. And I cannot locate the info in the manual, it says just press the switch! I have also tried holding down until it seems to power off, but alas he always goes in mode 'sleep', please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Please mark the thread solved.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones turn off the light in night mode

    Hello

Night light of my BB 9700 (OS 6) turns off when it is in mode.

How can you do with the BB Curve 9380 (OS 7.1)?

    Thank you for your attention.

    Kind regards

Hello and welcome to the community!

In fact, the judgment was, I recall, a bug. It was supposed to work in the screen remained mode bedside... otherwise, it is not useful as a bedside clock. Therefore, I would say that your 9700 has a level of operating system with the bug, and your 9380 is WAD - works as expected.

    Good luck!
