• BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook icon not showing on the home screen

  1. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
  If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

  2 is it hidden? On your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.

  Now, back in ALL these folders.

  The notice says you have an application that you previously downloaded or purchased in App World > My World, which is ready for an upgrade on your device. Look there for the upgrade.

  To clear the notification on the screen, find the alert message in your main folder, read or delete it.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  I'm new to the Community Board and blackberry.  I have a problem with the alarm, I had my phone for about a week and the alarm has worked very well.  However, this weekend it stopped working.  As well as sounds made in the morning.  I double checked to see if it is in night mode and it is not.  I'm frustrated with it.  Should I get the app from quick pull to reset the memory and all that?  That would help?  Thank you

  In fact, I downloaded quickpull and restarted.  I set the alarm for 5 minutes later and it started working again.  I put it to reboot every day in the late afternoon, as suggested, it seemed to have fixed.  Thank you!

• BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open and the screen is frozen

  I got my flashlight for about a week and it is very buggy. First of all it sometimes hangs when I try to open the browser. Other programs work perfectly once I hit escape a few times, but the browser does not work again until I upgrade or downgrade the OS. I keep having to go down and upgrade that takes forever to get my browser to work. Also the phone goes into sleep mode, even though I have it set to 20 seconds for backlight turns off.  Third problem I have with the phone is they continue to tell the browser how advanced is that it will not always support the Flash even if Blackberry has partnered with Adobe. I regret buying a torch instead of a droid.

  Start by doing a battery pull - with the machine on, remove the battery and wait 15 to 30 seconds before reinserting.  Then just wait for the device to reboot.  This should solve at least some of the problems you encounter.

  As for Flash, it is supposed to happen, however it is simply not yet available.  I hope that Adobe will have this ready to go shortly.  As for Flash on the Droid, as a heads up, I heard not so positive things here.  Apparently, there are a lot of bugs, and it is far from an ideal configuration.  I hope that Adobe will fix Flash for Android and I hope we'll get a decent work for the BB version before long.

  Calendar icon has disappeared from the menu display.  I have synced with desktop calendar so transfer the log events are going to the device and reminders for events are appearing.  without an icon I am unbale to make journal entries in my phone.   Thanks for sharing everything you already tried... any information help so avoid redundant orientation.

  Please, dig deeply and carefully on all the home screen panels, subfolders, etc... It is easy to accidentally move an icon to a different location. Also, you dig, please make sure that "Show all" is active, just in case you've hidden inadvertently to the icon.

  It does in portrait mode.  When you rotate the device in landscape mode, it shows all the time.  It irritates me too.  It's probably a question of theme.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BB primer not after installing the app...

  Today I installed an application and when you restart it, it used to just restart... The blackberry screen lights up with the progress bar and when progress reached about 75% bar phone becomes black and again reboot... I tried removing the battery and hook the charger but all with fix nothingness... Any help would be appreciated...

  I was not able to start the BB in safe mode but found far from delete the app via the Blackberry Desktop manager application load Wizard using... Phone works normally now...

  8820 version 4.5 (AT & T Service)

  My home page consisted of 5 files where I organized all of my programs, as well as the question of requests at the bottom.

  Unexpectedly a few days ago records disappeared (as well as all the icons for the programs that were in folders) and all that's left is a light overview of origins shaped rectangular on the left side of the screen that are stacked on each other.  And the question of the application at bottom also has all the icons in to access programs.

  So now, for example, I can not find and open my program of contacts.  But, I know that the information is still there because I can use the voice dialing function to call the numbers that I don't know.

  The only icons, I can access to get to the programs is through the 'toggle' (alt and esc) functionality.  Here I have the PTT, messages, bbmesenger, home, phone and icons of browser I can access.

  I bought the phone the end of last year and just put update to v 4.5 a few weeks ago.

  What suggestions anyone would the best method to solve this problem?

  I don't have it in fromt of me at the moment, but through the Application Loader, there should be an option button or advanced you can hit. In this screen, you can select the option to erase all applications or something like that. Do erase all the device and reinstall the OS. Let me know if you see this option.

  I suggest you upgrade your BlackBerry Desktop Software and then try to sync.

  Go to www.blackberry.com/desktop to get the software and then try to perform the synchronization.

  If you go in your message list, click the menu button and then go in view saved Messages. Are there listed recorded messages? Also try to reset the unit. With the unit powered on, POURRETIRERLEPISTONPNEUMATIQUEETREMPL battery for 30 seconds and replace it. After restarting the device, see if the indicator resets.
