  Pages of preferences: general. Deselect use template: Blank and reselect Show model selector. Quick pages.

  As a side note, you might just go into Windows Explorer and make a copy of the entire file, rename and then edit according to your needs.

  I have a Mac Book Pro 8 GB and running Adobe CS 5.5 everytime I open one of the applications in the negative space now on the blank documents, icons and field areas fill with pink vertical lines that sparkle.  This condition covers other applications when all CS applications are open.  Once the Adobe application is closed the pink glitter disappears.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall CS 5.5.  I've also updated the BONES of the Lion 10.7 for OS X El Capitan.Tried go to system, display Preferences, calibrate but has not changed. Had problem for 2 weeks know not what to do.

  CS5.5 is not compatible with El Capitan. This is the end of life and will not be updated.

  You'd better go back to a previous version of Mac OS X or Creative Cloud software update.

  Bernd, these rights are not necessary to the reader XI. Unless the file has been secured, then it should be savable.

  I recommend that upgrade you to the latest version of the XI player that is available and if this does not work, try to run a repair installation (or upgrade to DC).

  I'll add to it. If you're new to Acrobat, it is possible, that you have the wrong end of things. Acrobat is not a good editor or word processor or a design tool; It does not replace your editor or word processor or your design tool. People do not only from the file > New and start putting stuff on the page. It will be limited, slow, frustrating and annoying.

  People continue to put documents in all the tools they have always and use Acrobat to CONVERT to PDF format. If a change is necessary, no matter how trivial, the original is edited and redone the PDF.

  The Acrobat editing tools must be used when the original is lost and backups have been eaten by termites.

  2. Grab the text tool, create a text box and place the cursor inside.
  3. Observe the result in the paragraph Styles palette: standard paragraph shows a + next to him (which indicates there is a substitution on the style)

  Standard paragraph both other text controls are accessible through any opening of files. Looks like you want to keep the current definition of the style.  With no open docs, I suspect that you already see the sign, so just Alt-click with no file open and it should reset all settings of text to match the current definition of style and which will become the default for new documents.

• Open a PSD into Illustrator CS6, get a blank document

  I use Illustrator CS6 (16.0.0) on a 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac OS x 10.7.4. Illustrator has begun to open the PSD and other images raster as a document is empty. I make a PSD in Photoshop, save on my desktop and the PSD drag the Illustrator icon in my dock. The same blank page opens some important dimensions of the original document. The same thing happens when I opened through the open Illustrator dialog box.

  I think that you rename the file name when exporting the document. In this case add ".pdf" extension when you export after the file name.

  I don't think you need: target = "_self". Try to remove that.

• Printing for Vista Home Premium 32-bit network: Blank document or disappears from the queue

  I'm having trouble printing large format HP DeskJet 1000 c, which is connected via a parallel cable to my Media Center/DVR PC running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit SP2 on my printer. I connected with the success of this printer to two different computers, a desktop PC running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit SP2 and a laptop Mac OS x 10.5.8. I can print from the local computer very well, but when I try and use the printer on the network, one of two things happens depending on what machine I try and print from:

  1. from Vista 64 Desktop: printing the task appears, treats and disappears from the queue to the local printing on PC DVR. Printer advance a sheet of paper as if he were about to print, then waits with a power indicator light flashes. If you send a new job network, the tip sheet of paper is ejected and the process begins again. If you send a new job locally, the tip sheet of paper is ejected and the local job will print normally.

  2. from Mac OS x: printing the task appears, treats and disappears from the queue to the local printing on PC DVR. Printer does nothing.

  Although the process of networking of printers with OS X 10.5 and Vista is a bit more complicated (annoying) it was with XP, I am able to print from the Mac to a printer on the Vista 64 machine very well. Similarly, PC DVR allows you to print to the printer of the Vista 64 computer and a printer connected to my Mac desktop.

  I checked the HP site for drivers and since it is a quite old printer, there is no listed for any operating system newer than Windows 2000 (which a pilot has been included with the operating system). Any ideas as to why the PC DVR will not take of the network print jobs? Unfortunately, this complex printer (3 printers, 4 machines) installation is somewhat needed due to the possibilities of each printer and how my home office is laid out. If they did a multifunction, printer laser color large network format, I could sell my soul for what it... But I'm not aware of such a machine available to mortals.
