  I created a text input in my captivate lesson areas for the learner to write and think, but they are not part of a blade of Captivate Quiz. Is it possible to always report on inputs and that the learner writes in these boxes? My LMS is the key.

  I could report to Blackboard, see the entry on a BER, but not sure that this is the case for all LMS.

  I'm building a software simulation of training where I am using text input boxes.  Some use the enter as a shortcut key, some use the tab key.  Those who use the keys work well, failure caption works by forced entry when you press Enter, it advances to the next screen.  Those who use the Tab key does not at all.  The legend of failure does not work and the Tab key does not advance to the next screen.  I compared to those that work and those that don't work and I see no difference.  I set the text entry box to pause at the end of the slide so that it should not be a problem here.  I even tried to have the action 'to success"to be continue rather than go to the next slide and use a click box using the Tab key as a shortcut to move to the next screen - nothing helps!  Is it possible that the Tab key could have been turned off somehow?  I'm totally at a loss, please help!

  Im trying to put three text boxes on the screen.  2 boxes are seized and one is dynamic.  Basically, it adds up the boxes 1 and 2 and displays the result in box 3.  The program works: the numbers are added and displays ok.  The problem is that I can not actually see the boxes when I run the application.  I have to click anywhere on the screen until I can find them.

  I am using Captivate 4.

  I have a training course of the system where we require students to enter the date in BER.  After the date is entered, I want that Captivate to move to the next slide.  For example, on the screen 1, learner seizes '060510', then Captivate should advance to the next slide.

  I can do Captivate work very well with the menus text: for example, if the learner takes the correct menu item 'A', so I can put the shortcut to A key that causes Captivate to move to the next slide right now and very well.  But I can't figure out how to make this work with dates.  Any suggestions?

  I can explain why this works, but if I have the key set of shortcut input box text to be using 0 the ' or number: "drop-down list field, then both digital keypad and keyboard work for me.  If I set to include numberic keyboard, then select Numpad 0 AC doesn't work both ways.

  Try to use only the 0 in the number of drop-Numberic keyboard include unchecked.

  No, you can't control what is displayed in BER. In the latest version of Captivate 8, this is possible when you use the interaction of scrolling text (TextArea) as an alternative. For SWF-output, Captivatedev (Jim Leichliter) had a widget, but it is out of business. Isn't the 'default text' you enough?

• Why won't a decimal (defined for numbers) text input area?

  I want the user to enter a decimal number in BER, for example, 1234.56.

  I put the BER to accept only numbers. It will accept 123456 but won't with a decimal number 1234.56 (does not accept a decimal number to any number of post).

  Yes, numbered TEB recognize decimals. You can use a normal TEB, without restriction to the numbers.

• Text captions do not appear when it is used with text entry areas (C3)

  I'm building a simulation of accounting system where the learner needs to enter data.  I entered text boxes (one per blade) appearing all the time on the slide.  I have captions that tell the student what to enter, but are synchronized with the audio, then a final text legend who told them how to go to the next slide (press tab, etc.).  My problem is that the text captions do not appear if they are configured to appear after the text input area appears on the time line.  Has anyone experience this problem?  Any suggestions?

  We have created a work around using a highlight box where the text entry box will appear later - so that all the text captions and text entry boxes appear at the same time.  Should be an easier way!

  In this case, hard-code the value "lov-1234-oop-ui" in your query instead of the form variable. You get a result?

  I created a software simulation in which I used a text entry box. The user must enter the text and Captivate must validate without the learner input (for example, press the Enter key).
  
  The text ends with the number seven. Therefore, I put Captivate to validate text input when 7 came.
  
  Here's the problem:
  
  If a learner uses keys on their keyboard (instead of the keys above QWERTY), Captivate does not validate the text input.
