• Bookmark button to show Firefox when the Menu is visible

  Just updated to FF25 of FF22 and decided to have the toolbar of Menu visible, and everything was fine. Until I restarted FF and now my bookmark dropdown BUTTON disappeared. I go to customize and the button reappears, but as soon as I close the window customize, it disappears. I then hide the bar menu, if just the Menu title bar button appears and the bookmark drop down button reappears. WTH? Why every time FF is updated I have to spend time scrounging Google to 'fix' things to the way they were?

To answer to those who wonder, why? or there is a text of bookmarks drop down already in the Menu bar, I me in MOCK! I want the feature back and am frankly done sick a tired of all these small tweeks FF with no notes on what they have done and why. Also another problem, that I just discovered. My arrow of downloads is the size of the normal buttons, but when there is a download, it bloats wide about 5 buttons and 2 buttons in high, and the progress bar is half this height! When before it all would remain within the dimensions of size unique button. So now I have also remove toolbars, because it makes the whole bar 2 x height.

  It's hard, but I'm so frustrated with everything. When they worked well before and I've only updated for new features and security, but whenever the FF team decides to waste his time with features that have been there for several months or years, it drives me crazy.

  Because my screen is not that big, I want my bookmark toolbar elements (element for special bookmarks folder) take the entire width, and I want the button Favorites in the navigation toolbar (because I don't need this long url field).

  When appears in the toolbar of bookmarks, the Bookmarks button moves automatically in the Navigation toolbar to the toolbar of bookmarks. This is expected behavior. I can't tell you why but, as it makes no sense to me either and I probably find twice as boring as you.

• How to display a complete tree of the table of contents in the body of a page instead of the sidebar?

  How to display a full (project) TOC tree in the body of the pages of the section instead of the default sidebar (left pane)? Is there a simple way to do this in the application? I have not yet discovered a way to do it, but I can't get to the right place. Any suggestions?

  I don't think you can view the table of contents on a page, and even if you could, the sidebar would always be there for indexing and search. The only possibility I can think of is to create a page where you create links arranged to act as a TOC, then maybe iFrame this page in. Each book might be a drop-down list to view links to topics.

  Maintenance would be horrible and she barely meets your requirement to be simple.

  From the keyboard, {Ctrl + B} opens and closes the bookmarks bar. If it is open when you close Firefox, it will open the next time to launch Firefox.

  "When you click on the ' view your bookmarks" button on the menu bar, it opens a sidebar. I would try a new window or a new tab instead of the sidebar. I have the Tab Mix Plus add-on installed but I can't find this option.

  Try: Button Firefox-> Bookmarks-> show all bookmarks

  (if you have the menu bar (i.e. File, Edit etc) at the top left to try: bookmarks-> show all bookmarks)

  This will not open them in a tab, but in a new window.

  I was wondering if there was a way to configure the bookmarks and history to open like a button sidebar instead of a menu drop-down. I've recently updated firefox to the latest version. In the old version I was using (I'm sorry, I don't remember version) bookmarks and the history button would open a side menu to the left of the window, that's what I'm trying to do.

  I know a shortcut and a drop down for this. I am also aware to be able to open the sidebar via the Bookmarks button, but it takes 2 clicks. I wonder if there is a way to simply open the sidebar with just 1 click of the button. Basically, the button is like Alt + B, I want to change it to be simply Ctrl + B in 1 click.

  Hello, you can right click on the bookmark, select properties and uncheck the option to load the bookmark in the sidebar.

  You can access this in two different ways, depending on what seems more practical:

  I had the same problem and realized that the Bookmarks button opens a sidebar instead of a drop-down menu if the menu bar is displayed. Hide the Menu bar causes the Bookmarks button work like a menu drop-down.

  Opening in the sidebar is the default action for bookmarks created via a "Mark this Page" link or button on a Web site. Make sure you use many methods to "Bookmark this Page" located in Firefox instead.

  These bookmarks do a right-click and select Properties, then turn off the preference for the load this bookmark in the sidebar, then click Save.

  Opening in the sidebar is the default value for the bookmarks created via a link or a button on a Web site.
  
  You can view the properties of a bookmark using the context menu in the side bar (Ctrl + B; Cmd + B on Mac).
  
  In the Bookmark Manager (Bookmarks > show all bookmarks) you can click on the button more in the lower details pane on the right.
  
  Make sure "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.
