• Boot camp unrecognized cross-platform records

It's jogging my memory that I had to modify the plist for the first time I did this, so I started to do some reading and what appeared to be the fastest workaround has been download a copy of bootcamp 4, because the new version does not support mixed installation of the iso (32 & 64 bit ver on one disc) did the installation went well spent ran boot camp software Player was not grateful so I tried to connect to the internet and there was a problem any appeared adapters but I just couldn't join the network and other issues at random so I started back in OSX deleted the partition and booted, this time networking the problem has been resolved but hard disk recognition was still a question , from windows I can openboot camp software and select this option to start card, but can not see the player mac, Mac I see windows on the desktop player but does not not in the utility disc or bootcamp and a target boot disk.

  Sorry for the long background but I seem not to be the only person having this problem perhaps this may help understand why its happening and lead to a better solution, aka prevent it

  I need help understanding the passage Boolean ptbypt and I need help for her to run only once, from bottom to top. (or true false) I'm trying to catch a digital input when it goes from low to high.   Use a feedback node that will be followed if the Boolean crossing happened before or not.  (You can use the Boolean output from a level crossing as the input to another to detect this.)

  Remember Feedback nodes and Shift Registers to keep track of what's happened in the past.  You just need to Boolean logic with Boolean such as functions and and or to do the rest.

• How to turn on the flat Structure of sequence based on a Boolean value?

  I try to write a (attached) VI who enjoy an analog voltage that crosses one analog multiplexer. I am using a flat sequence structure to change the output of select signals to change the channel to be sampled. I wonder if I can turn on the structure when my Boolean input of the sample is TRUE?

  Based on the image (I can't watch the VI himself), he doesn't seem to be a necessity for the sequence at all. There is data connections Wizard DAQ to two scalar indicators, which implies that you are taking a single sample. No need to acquire multiple samples and throw all but one. The second sequence is certainly unnecessary.

• How to change the Boolean flag rectangle into 2 triangles.

  The notation for a valve is two triangles whose ends are touching.  I want to show images of the valve as indicators Boolean - red = closed and green = open.  Is it possible to change the standard indicators normally rectangular or circular shape to match the double triangle.  I know you can get this result using the triangular shapes and blocking part of the rectangular Boolean value which does not resemble the double triangle shape.  I don't want that since I find it difficult to group the shapes.

  

  You have controls and indicators already available in the similar DSC Toolkit.

  Or a solution, you can try is to use custom controls, check your two images in software such as paint.

  Select the control that you want to customize (in you case a Boolean value) and with the right click make Type Def then Open Type def.

  Copy your image to that of the State in the Clipboard, and then select the picture to import from the Clipboard and the State associated with your image in the right click menu

  Do the same again for the other State.

• Control valve tank with plots and twists of the water

  Hello everyone!

  This is my frist real project. And I am in love with this program so far!
  I have a little problem. Here it goes:

  The project of the University which has been given to us is to simulate a (entrance OPEN/CLOSED valve) water tank filling and emptying (output range of 0 to 100% valve), but with a few twists. It is done by the command to the movement by the following formula: flow rate [%] = position of the valve [%] * current water height [%]. (The output valve takes values in percentage from 0 to 100% giving the voltage digital output of 0 volt to closed(0%) or 5 volumes for open(100%), the strange part, is that the digital output can have a value of 0 or 1, so the position of the valve is "simulated".) And the supply valve (valve entrance) water can be open or closed (if 0 or 5 volts)

  -Sequences cannot be used (only one for initialization and cleanup can be used)

  -When the water level reaches 10% of the max height, LED lights, the output valve closes and the input valve opens. The LED is on until the button is pressed. The output valve cannot be opened until the water height is greater than 50%.

  -When the water level reaches 90% of the max height, LED lights, the entrance valve opens. The LED is on until the button is pressed. The output valve cannot be opened until water height is less than 50%.

  -There are two mode selectios:

  Control by hand: the person sets the position of the valve in percent and the flow is calculated by the formula and displays on the screen.

  Automated: Every 2 seconds the program assigns the place valve so that the current is constant, it is the value by the person.

  -(N'ont pas gottern ici encore) ESD (Emergency shutdown switch) the when is pressed both the entry and exit valves are closed. The entrance valve cannot be oppened up to the RESET_IN key. If the program is 'Control in manual mode' output valve cannot be opened until the RESET_OUT touches. In which case the output valve is in "Auto" mode, it does not start work until the RESET_OUT touches.

  My main problem here is the fact, I cannot use sequences and nested, then the loops do not work. The aqusition of data stops until the inner circle loop ends and I need both work. Especially for the 50% rule.

  I've been hitting my head for a few days and still couldn't come up with a solution.

  For the time being the outputs inputs/digital analogue are a simulation (when the time comes the USB-6008 material is used).

  There is some things that confuse me (as if the valves are percentage, from 0 to 100%, or digital, 0 or 1), but regardless, it's a detail.

  Review the task and consider what you want to do and that the "States" the system may be in.  [This with a pencil and paper, do not open LabVIEW yet...].  The description of your problem learn you something about the transition from one State to another.  Here is a thought exercise:

  Suppose you are in a "State".  Let the system to "do its thing" for a second, which could involve the water flow.  At the end of the second re - evaluate your state - it changed?  Continue to do this...

  This model of 'something' is called a State Machine and LabVIEW has some very good examples and tutorials on the creation and use.  The important things to do before you make your coding is (with the pencil and paper) decide on your statements, decide on the transition rules, and then you are ready to code.

  There are different ways to build a State Machine in LabVIEW, but the basic idea is quite awhile (to keep things moving along, a shift register which includes the current state, usually represented as an enumerated, Type whose values are simply the names of your States (made for a very mnemonic routine) and a Case statement whose power is the State of the shift register that contains the code to achieve this) particular State of loop, including the implementation of transitional rules (which can cause a new State on the registry to lag when it comes out of the investigation of the case).

  A great exercise.  Strive to keep your block diagram on a single computer screen by making use of the screw subgroup chore (as the management of changes in the water level based on the current water level and "States" (which here means 'values') two valves).  Once you understand the 'Idea' State Machine, you should be able to write the code for this problem quite easily.

• NEITHER USB-6008 connect to thermocuples and pressure sensors, control valve

  I am endevoring to build a gasification plant biomass for bench scale test process control plans. NEITHER USB-6008/6009 will be adapted for use as a data acquisition. I'll take RTDS, thermocouples and pressure sensors. I don't want to use industrial automation controllers.  It is also possible to use the channel of analog output for sending signals to a control valve position (using sufficient current/voltage between the two drivers).

  (1) OK.  I just wanted to be sure that you were aware of the potential dangers.

  (2) an RTD is a resistance that has small changes in resistance per degree of temperature change. To measure that you have need of a current source and a sufficient resolution in order to detect small changes.  At 25 degrees C a typical RTD is 109,73 ohms and resistance ohms 0.38 per degree changes.  If you had 1 my crossing this RTD voltage through it would be 109,7 mV and the voltage change of 0.38 mV by degree.

  The resolution of the 6008 on the most sensitive range is 0.49 mV > 1 degree.  The accuracy of the 6008 is 1.5 mV typical.

  For a Type K thermocouple, voltage at 25 degrees is 1.407 mV and change by degree is 39 µV.  Millivolt solving half of the 6008 translates into about 12 degrees.

  If you need a source of excitement for RTD and a kind of amplification for thermocouples and RTD before she would make any sense to try to use USB-6008.

  (3) I have not used anything except LabVIEW with DAQ devices and drivers.  I think DAQmx can be used with MATLAB and other languages.

  (4) the 6008 is the low range made by NOR. You will need to go to a more expensive camera or add signals conditioning circuits.  Talk to your representative OR assistance in the choice of a suitable device.

• Change indicator for a NON Boolean production images

  I do an interface that controls a series of taps multiplace.  For the two valve positions, I have the installer, a Boolean 'true' flag, showing a picture of the valve in a position and 'fake', showing the other configuration.  It works very well, but what I need to do now is to try this again with a 8 and 16 position valve - so rather than 2 images I need to select up to 16 different ones.  Is it possible to convert a digital output / simple string (just numbers 1-16) to display the corresponding images 1-16?  I'm sure there must be, but it is clearly a very different approach to what I do for T/F outputs.

  Yes!  You can even optimize it to move playback PNG leader VI and draw the Pixmap VI flattened outside the case structure and have the case structure contains only paths.

• Boolean button that requires a double click

  Is it possible to do a button of Boolean true/false to require two mouse clicks to pass. We want this feature to avoid accidentally clicking on a button that opens or closes a valve?

  @Ian: while I think the general idea is very interesting, I don't like that calendar is encapsulated in the Subvi. While it is not hogging the CPU (which is good), it might give wrong impressions to new developers (no waiting obvious funktion in the loop).

  @OP: if it was only a double click to check, you could do something like in the attachment.

• Passing a Boolean true that once a loop

  I'm pretty new to LabView and worked on a project that uses it. I met a problem in one part of my code. I have a graph of wave form that reads tensions since a data acquisition card and I find the rising edge of it. When the edge flushing occurs, it produces a Boolean true am I on a case structure to trigger another event. The problem is the waveform data collection is in a time loop, because I think it takes to continue to accumulate data, it sends continuously the Boolean true until it is no longer on the front. I just want to send a boolean true when it hits the rising and wait until it hits again, because it's a sine wave.

  I apologize that I don't have code to post right now, but any ideas or diagrams would be very appreciated!

  Do not reinvent the wheel.  Just use the Boolean crossing PtByPt VI.  The output of your rising edge comparison goes into this VI and you specify "fake-real" sense.  The output will be TRUE on the first sample of your forehead.

• Boolean switch rendering time.

  I have LabView of issue of a signal of my USB-6501. The output signal triggers a relay and turns a solenoid switch.

  Currently, I have a Boolean value, implemented as a button where to click to activate the signal, then click on to turn it off. In turn the valve opens and then closes.

  I am extremely inexperienced with Labview and was able to find enough to implement, but it is difficult for me to convert what others similar, but different set ups, have made the forum search.

  What I have a problem with now change this code in order to have clicking on the Boolean output affects the signal for a while (let's 500ms) and then turned off automatically (without having to set). Basically a pulse. I feel that this would imply the loop any set with a timer, but I'm not sure how to start setting this up.

  I have attached my LabView code for you to see. I would appreciate help. Thanks in advance.

  I recommend using a Structure of the event.  On the change of Boolean value, you set or reset the output.  Using a registry to offset, you can also set the timeout for the structure of the event.  Then in the timeout, use a Value property (signs) of the Boolean to force a change in value to the Boolean false.  This will result in event of change of Boolean trigger and consequently cause your output turns off.
