Boolean tab with change inhibition

I got the search and hidden for a while now, but have finally met an obstacle that I couldn't solve.  I am self-taught with LabVIEW and you guys here helped a lot with this.

My problem is that I have several tabs that contain of many indicators, display of information of a cDAQ.  Tabs cycle automatically over a period of time, and what I'm trying to do is to go to a specific tab if a value exceeds a specified value.  To make sure that the value in question is because I want to have the tab control automatically on this tab for the duration of the problem.

There are already Boolean of for each of these indicators as I by changing text colors if the values exceed the number, but I can't understand how property of the tab control nodes respond to changes.

Any help on the matter would be very useful.

Here is a quick sketch...

Of course, you need to decide where to go if more than one LED lights at the same time.

  • problem with changing the order of tab on tab control

    Hello

    I am aware that the same question has been asked over three years - but I can't yet find the problem in what I'm doing...

    Description: I have two controls tab, A tab with three tab and tab B with two controls on a Panel. For the following discussion, tab B is of no interest. Each tab control has several numerical indicators, of type integer and double. Now, I want to add a fourth tab control to A tab. This method works.

    Following and problematic stage, in the Publisher of the IUR I select the new tab (most right) and move two positions to the left. It's still ok until I try to display a numeric value of order of tab 3 (the new tab control is left to it). I get an error in calls to SetCtrlAttribute, complain about an invalid control ID... However, I didn't touch any control over the tabs, or add a new control. In addition, I did not touch the generated include file... Visual inspection did not show any changes in the include file (the new tab control is listed only when certain controls are added)

    Posting numbers on the first/far left tab control work only on 3 and 4 which are suitable for the new (and still empty) new tab will generate this error. Adding a control to the new label does not change the bahavior.

    Help is appreciated!

    Wolfgang,

    When you get the handle for your tab using GetPanelHandleFromTabPage:

    GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 0, & TabHandle);

    the third parameter is an index for the specific tab you want to address.  If you change the order of the tabs, you can change the index, too.  For example, assume that you have a digital control on the third tab from left to right.  You want to assign some value, so this, you:

    GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 2, & TabHandle);

    SetCtrlVal (TabHandle, TAB_numMyNumeric, 1);

    Now, you add a new tab to the left of the tab with the digital contorl.  The new tab is now index 2 and the original tab is index 3.  When you call:

    GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_TAB, 2, & TabHandle);

    you get the handle to the new tab.  There is a control with the same ID as TAB_numMyNumeric, so that you get a runtime error.

    Personally, I like to use an enumeration to my tabs so I can keep the lines:

    enum {MY_FIRST_TAB, MY_SECOND_TAB, MY_THIRD_TAB,...};

    So if I redesign the tabs or add a new one I just re - order enums and everything works fine.  Also, I used the same names in my constants of tab, to help keep things straight:

    GetPanelHandleFromTabPage (MainPanelHandle, PANEL_FIRST_TAB, MY_FIRST_TAB, & TabHandle);

  • Tools, options will fail. Opens a tab with invalid URL message. URL is "on preferences.

    OPTIONS MENU, TOOLS, open a new tab with the message "the address is not valid. The URL is "aboutpreferences". I tried to start Firefox in Mode safe mode with the same result. I also used the 'Refresh Firefox' button. No change. Simply can't access my preferences anyway. I think it's a relatively new problem, but cannot say with certainty when the latter worked properly, but it worked in the past.

    38 of Firefox has grown from a pop-up dialog box Options for a page of 'in the tab' options. Some users find that it does not work for them, but so far we have not determined the motive. Because you did a refresh, which would eliminate most of the possible causes. You can also test mode without failure of Firefox.

    Never mind, you've already tried this step It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

    If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

    Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?

    If it simply does not work, there is a preference to return to the old style dialogueOptions box:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste pref and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.preferences.inContent to true to false

    Note: I don't know if that will ever be in Firefox or is a transitional device. As you have probably noticed, the long-term trend is to remove things that appear.

  • New tab page as a tab (with the plus sign next to the tabs) open rather than below as a button to open a new page in the tab?

    Alrighty, the Firefox on my laptop (und such that she has always been with Firefox for me) has the "Open a new tab" button as a tab himself. Always to the right of the tabs I have open und is smaller with only one more sign on this subject. (+) I hit that, bam, a new tab page opens upward, always with the + page to the right to open another tab, if I want to.

    Yet, on the desktop that I use currently, this option isn't here. Instead, Open a button tab is a real personal touch I can move it anywhere near the bar of the browser, much as I have with the: start a conversation, current downloads, bookmark, home, options, privacy, etc... buttons.

    I like the feature to open a new tab with Firefox on my laptop but not on my desktop. However, I can't find anything on how to open a new tab appears with the real tablets themselves where it is conveniently next to the tab I'm on that, rather than being a button where I have to go to one side or the other of my screen to get a new tab to open...

    How do I change it?

    The image I have uploaded, 'B', this is what is on my desk, 'A' is what is on my laptop. "A" is what I want on my desktop.

    Don't know what you're going with "expected normal behavior." I was asking how to pass from one to the other, in this case 'B' to 'A' in regards to my image is concerned. But, in any case, go out of your first line "the new tab button displays a button"+"when the button is on the tab bar", it's answered my question without answering it directly.

    I asked how to get from one to the other, I know that both are possible. Which... answer my question would have been:

    Just drag the new customizable tab to the tabs above button, not the toolbar with the browser bar, etc. below.

    Behavior is not what I was asking, I was wondering how to change from one to the other. But thanks, move the button to the top with the tabs is what has changed for me in what I wanted.

    You can check the setting of the homepage:

    Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.

    The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
    You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself.

    The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

    You can remove possible user.js and numbered prefs-# .js files and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

  • I don't want the new tab with apps opening when I open Firefox, how to fix this?

    I want to just the home page to open without the new tab with a search bar on this issue.

    Sometimes the home page changes are caused by a new extension or external software change your Firefox settings. These can sneak in when you install other software, as many free programs include a set of less useful things.

    Could check you your extensions for the actions essential or unrecognized? Open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off. Or if it's obviously nonsense, delete.

    If the button Delete is absent for an extension, you can usually find a way to remove it using the Control Panel, uninstall a program (or all what is it called now to the point Windows 8.1). By clicking on the column heading to sort by date, "installed on" is useful to find and remove unknown elements not trustworthy bundle or other additions.

    Once your system is clean, your preferred homepage appears, either immediately or after the update the setting in Options?

    Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.

    On this tab:

    Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

    Disable «Conduit Plugin»

    On this tab:

    Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

    Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.

    Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?

  • I updated FF to 15.0.1; now there is no new tabs boxes, and I can't remove a tab with scroll wheel.

    I use Windows XP.
    Then, he used to be a small square next to the last tab box open that I could click to open a new tab. Now, I can just open a new tab if I double click on a space empty next to the last open tab.
    And I used to be able to open a group of tabs, to do what I had to do and then click Center mouse scroll to the bottom of the line to delete what I have is no longer necessary. Now, the only way I can close tabs is to use the x on the right side of the tab I'm currently. But, sometimes it does not work...
    Nothing has changed about how I put FF in place - just the update.

    You can open a new tab with Ctrl-t. You should be able to find the new tab button in the Customize window toolbar. You can replace it. If the Middle-click to remove is no longer a tab, you can use Ctrl-left click.

  • What happened to the tab with the sign + to create an empty tab?

    I recently upgraded to v3.6 through several versions of Firefox v8.01. There was once a small tab with a sign more at the end of the tab bar that allowed me to create a new empty tab. It seems to have disappeared somewhere beyond v4.0

    What happened and how I get it back? Yes I know I can activate the button of toolbar for a new tab, but have it at the end of the tab bar is more natural to use.

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
