Bought a stand-alone copy of LR in 10/2013. Received a message that the development module is disabled.
I upgraded from LR 4 LR5, buying an stand alone version of Lightroom 10/2014 (less than three months ago) for my PC. According to Adobe's HELP, I downloaded a second copy of the software on a new Mac in preparation for the switching of computers and discontinued using the original version of the PC. I had to hire a consultant to assist in the transfer of pictures due to the absence of specific instructions from Adobe on a PC to Mac transition, but in early December, the transition has been accomplished and LR (now 5.7) worked for about two weeks. Shortly after the development module has been disabled by a message that I needed to renew my membership to reactivate the develop Module! I've never had a membership... I bought the stand-alone version of the software and want to use it rather than the version of the subscription.
Added to all of my problems with the transition, is that we have welcomed guests for the holidays and I couldn't show them one of my recent photos by the development being disabled module. (My guess is that Adobe is not going to compensate me for this inconvenience!)
AFAIK, it's nothing that I did on myself. Adobe allows the download of two copies of the LR software I have not exceeded which, I called Adobe Help specifically to ask how to accomplish the transition from Mac PC and and told to download the LR for the Mac software.
So, how to re-enable the module development without paying extra money for a subscription?
But to answer your question directly, you have installed installation creative cloud of Lightroom that requires different licenses. You must uninstall, then download from the stand-alone Web site.

Trial of LR expired, bought the CC, but still no access to the develop module
Hi, I got a trial version of LR, which has expired. I bought the CC, and when I run the desktop application, next to LR, it says trial has expired and makes me want to buy. But when I click on buy, it says correctly that I already bought it. LR is open, but the develop module is disabled - it says that I need to renew my membership to reactivate the develop module. I've been around the FAQ and this on board and we tried various things, but nothing has helped. Any ideas?

Why am I forced to connect to CC, when I bought a stand-alone license for Lightroom 6?
I just purchased Lightroom (updated 3/4/5) 6. When I started LR6 for the first time, he asked me to sign in the CC. I did, and then choose register the application with a license. I then disconnected the CC (which I have no interest in CC). When I started LR6 once again, I had to log in again in CC. I bought a stand-alone license so I shouldn't have to connect to CC. I chatted with Emmanuel, who promised to come back with me within 2 weeks with a resolution (Emmanuel didn't). I came back to LR5 to avoid connecting them cc. If Adobe is not able to solve this problem, I will have to return LR6 and just stick with LR5.
It doesn't have anything to do with the license. First try turning off (or maybe turn on, if it is not currently) graphics acceleration in the Prefs / Perf and see if the picture to develop.

I have a standalone version of LR 6. I bought and installed with a serial number. After a few updates, I get a message that the trial has been exceeded. I have to remove the trial expired message?

"Develop module is disabled" after free trial even if I bought the upgrade LR5
I bought the LR5 upgrade to upgrade from LR3.
I tried the iCloud 30 day trial of the LR5 to be sure it worked with my raw D750 files which it did very well.
Now the test expired but my copy of the LR5 says that I must "renew my membership to reactivate the development module.
Since I "Own" LR5 should not ask for a renewed subscription.
Suggestions?

Hi, when you try to copy a folder with lots of subfolders, some files don't copy. I get a message that the folder names are too long, and the only option is to ignore these files. Anyone know the maximum folder (and also) name length that will copy windows 7?

Helloa. What are the data you're trying to move?b. what operating system (for example Windows files) files?c. What is the method that you use to copy data?Windows 7 supports filename up to 260 characters. I would ask you to decrease the characters in the file name and then try to copy the files.
Let us, run disk checking hard disk utility and then check.Here's how:

I bought lightroom and need to register my student ID, how do I do that the trial has run out, I have the product code but not the serial number?
If you have purchased a package, then you should have instructions in the box on how to present your credentials. If you have purchased Adobe online, then you should have received instructions in an email. But here is a link that might help you. There is a link under step 2 which will lead you to a place where you can enter the information, I think.

Hi, I bought lightroom 5 the develop module has expired.
Hi, I bought lightroom 5, everything was fine.
So I had to change the hardware from PC to MAC, so downloaded Lightroom again but now the develop module has expired.
I'm a bit confused (easy fact!) on the different versions, I want just the standard version

I just bought a new iMac and used the Migration Assistant to transfer my files. At first everything worked, but now a week later, I get the message that the application manager is missing, and I can't Photoshop and InDesign to start. For my personal use, I don't have a need to reach creative Cloud. You have any suggestions for a workaround?

A desktop HP 1050 may throw a stand-alone Copier?

Recently bought a Deskjet 1050 and really like it. My daughter needs a casual Copier for the child insurance papers, etc., but she doesn't have a computer. It seems to me that this all-in-one will be just copies by lighting it and using the copy on the device buttons. I used to load up my 10 year, Lexmark, go to his place and make copies for her. This 1050 which will also? If so, I'll take one for his birthday.

The manual makes it sound like he can. One thing, you can just to make sure would be to shut down your computer and try to make a copy.
