BPEL Application Server Control 10.1.3 - oc4jadmin username being exposed in the em console login page

Hi all

Security problem - we run Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.  When the Enterprise Manager Application Server Control login page displays the oc4jadmin username is displayed/presentations.  I was not able to find where this configured.  How can I keep the username oc4jadmin displayed on the login page?  Is - this configurable?

Thanks in advance.

Any guidance would be helpful

What I discovered, Oracle has identified this as a bug.

Bug 7477358 - NEED TO GET DEFAULT "OC4JADMIN" username, NO ISSUE ON THE LOGIN PAGE

If the customer does not mind moving to javasso, this could be a workaround. Oracle Doc ID 397180.1

I managed to implement javasso for asconsole; the javasso login page has no username displayed oc4jadmin when the login page is displayed.

    Tom,

-How will I know if EBS r12 12.0.6 using the EJB or not?

In my view, it is not applicable to the installation of R12, you can omit this step. If you have a stand-alone server Oracle AS10g and you must apply this hotfix, you must then check if the EJB is used or not.

  • How to clear the Application Server Control logs?

On the application server in 10g, 10g of database, Windows 2003 Operating System.

Referring to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10464_05/core.904/b10376/log.htm, Figure 4-1. I can see 12000 +++ lines dating back to before that I was hired. I'm trying to remove some of the papers, if possible. When I did Figure 4-6, location of repository Log - diagnosis/repository, I thought that the log files will be in FRHome1\diagnostics\respository; but there is no file in there. In fact nothing in this record.

    So my questions are:
    (1) where the logs for Application Server?
    (2) how to remove some of the newspapers?

    Thank you.

    Hello;

I think that 2 August was my last post in this forum. By chance, I noticed this.

Yes, they can be removed (say weekly or monthly cleaning)

    /U01/app/Oracle/product/midtier/J2EE/OC4J_BI_Forms/log/OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1/default-Web-access.log

To test I have renamed it to this:

    /U01/app/Oracle/product/midtier/J2EE/OC4J_BI_Forms/log/OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1/default-Web-access.logold

IAS then stopped and restarted and it created: (from 0 bytes)

    /U01/app/Oracle/product/midtier/J2EE/OC4J_BI_Forms/log/OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1/default-Web-access.log

So I think that you can delete them, but you should let iAS re-create. (In this way the permissions will be correct)

  • vCenter on Windows Server 2008 cannot open VM´s. unable to connect to the MKS console: Timeout during an attempt to read

I have setup a new vCenter to replace the old (new on MS server 2008, an old man on MS server 2003), but after registering the VM´s, I am not able to connect to them with the console. Error message: unable to connect to the MKS: Timeout during an attempt to read

If I connect directly to the host ESX 4 it works fine.

Is that what someone has any ideas, how to solve this problem? I have already tried:

-Added the new vCenter address and IP to the/etc/hosts

    -restart the ESX servers

-Re-installed VMware tools to the new vCenter

None of the above has helped, and I start to desperate... Anyone have an idea?

If you use vcenter to manage your servers from another computer. You should try to disable the windows firewall on the vcenter computer that manages the esx server. He worked for another problem in the past. Windows firewall started blocking applications of mks someday and we don't know why. Allowing exceptions in windows firewall did not work if the firewall has been turned off completely and then it worked.

Default password for user 'oc4jadmin! I'm not aware of this user in 10.1.2.x, maybe there's one of OC4J side but not otherwise. If you are looking for credentials to connect to OracleAS controls (EM), the username is "ias_admin" and password is the one you specified during the installation. There is no default password. • Problem installing Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1

    Hello

I try to install the Oracle process server on linux and I installed it on before similar boxes without any problems, however this time after I finished the installation, it does not show me the console business. It gives a message of successful installation but with the following message.

Control for the application server console does not run in this instance of Oracle application server. You can manage that instance remotely by another instance of Oracle Application Server is configured to run the Application Server Control Console.

What should I do to get the administration console. I also looked around and saw but cylindre emctl isn't there in the ORACLE_HOME/bin

    Published by: user9938780 on December 11, 2008 11:34

the 10.1.3.1 version does not use emctl

If you do a status - app opmnctl you can see your applications, one of them is ascontrol

You can reach the emconsole by http://hostname:7777 / em

to start you can issue opmnctl startproc application = ascontrol

  • How to set the value of the value of the options in the application server

    Hi all

I run the application that stores a set of options in the application server. (via BES)

It is not store it on the local device.

The use of the facility of service is not well understood.

Is it also possible to use it to preserve such a configuration?

Or, should I use as JSR-172 web services?

    Thank you

Third-party applications can read of service books, but they cannot create or edit.  You could do a sleeve or a HTTP connection to your application server to store and read the options.  For an example, take a look at the httpdemo or the socketdemo provided with the BlackBerry JDE.

    Colleagues, Hello.

How to add additional participants to the already begun scheduled conference or permanent on Telepresence server controlled by the conductor? Or so... How to make the call to the Conference on the telepresence server controlled by a number of additional connected participants of the conductor?

I do not know the TMS, but I do not see active conference control features in its options. On the telepresence server, there is limited management capacities.

A driver controlled TelePresence server has no conference control what so ever, as its all managed by TMS. In TMS you use Conference Control Center under surveillance to manage the scheduled conference. Conference ad hoc permanent that's not demand through TMS, endpoints will have to deal in itself.

  • Install PeopleTools 8,53 Linux question: Start Application Server domain PT853 using psadmin

    People,

Hello. I install PeopleTools 8,53 Internet Architecture. Server database is the database Oracle 11 GR 1 material. Operating system is Oracle Linux 5.

I address the issue of startup Application Server Domain PT853 while the database server is listening as below:

    [user@userlinux PT8.53] $. ./Psconfig.sh
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export SYSTEM_PASS = SYS/SYS
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export ORACLE_HOME = / home/user/OracleDB_Home
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export ORACLE_SID = PT853
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export TUXDIR = / home/user/Oracle/Middleware/tuxedo11gR1
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH = $TUXDIR/lib: $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export PATH = $TUXDIR/bin: $PATH

    [user@userlinux appserv] $. / psadmin

Its release gets 2-errors in the current server log file /home/user/psft/pt/8.53/appserv/PT853/LOGS/APPSRV_0919.LOG as below:

First of all, GenMessageBox (200, 0, M): PS General SQL Routines: version SQL library libpsora64 missing or invalid (200.0)
Second, GenMessageBox (0, 0, M): Signon database: could not sign database PT853 with user PSADMIN.

    I create a symlink in/home/user/OracleDB_Home/lib and /lib32 as below:

    [lib user@userlinux] $ ln-s libclntsh.so.11.1 libclntsh.so.8.0
    [user@userlinux lib32] $ ln-s libclntsh.so.11.1 libclntsh.so.8.0

After that, I run. / psadmin to begin the field PT853 again, I see the first error is resolved. Now, there is that a single error in the current server log file /home/user/psft/pt/8.53/appserv/PT853/LOGS/APPSRV_0924.LOG is below:

GenMessageBox (0, 0, M): Signon database: invalid user or password database signon ID. (id = MyOwnerName)
    Start the server failed

I changed the UserId as PSADMIN in Configuration file, purge the cache and clean restart and resources of the CPI. Password is correct. But the error still shows id = MyOwnerName.

Application Designer to connect as PSADMIN successfully. Data Mover Bootstrap connect as MyOwnerName successfully.

    My question is:

Why PSADMIN both MyOwnerName the ID invalid user or password database signon? How to solve the problem?

    Thank you.

As stated in the installation manual, there are a few prerequisites in chapter CHAPTER 8 b page 238 UNIX application server configuration

    Prerequisites

Before you begin this procedure, you should have completed the following tasks:

    • Installed your application server.

See "Using the installer of PeopleSoft," understanding PeopleSoft servers

    • Tuxedo installed 11 GR 1 material

    See "installing additional components.

    • Authorization to a PeopleSoft user ID to start the application server.

The database configuration process includes a step to set up the ID of the user with permission to start

the application server. See the installation instructions specific to the application for more information on user IDS

for your PeopleSoft application. See the PeopleTools: product documentation Security Administration

For more information on PeopleSoft PeopleTools sent user profiles.

See "Creating a database under UNIX," execution of the database Configuration Wizard.

See "creating a database manually ,"creation of Scripts to Import Data Mover. "

    • Run the following SQL statements on your database server to review and if necessary, update the PSCLASSDEFN table:

    SELECT THE CLASSID, PSCLASSDEFN STARTAPPSERVER

    WHERE CLASSID IN (SELECT OPRCLASS FROM PSOPRCLS WHERE OPRID ='');

    UPDATE PSCLASSDEFN SET STARTAPPSERVER = 1 WHERE CLASSID ='';

Novel installers generally use VP1 or PS to test the application server. If these users are deleted or their

Passwords are changed, the application server will be unavailable. To avoid this problem, you can set

until a new operator (called PSADMIN or PSASID, for example) with privileges to start the application server.

If you do this, you can use the operator new for your servers and you will not need to change the

password each time VP1 or PS.

You user has privileges to start the application server.

Also pay attention to the connectid configuration in the application server. This should be the same connectid and the password you provided during the database creation script connect.sql

  • Deploy to the Application Server is not on a distributed environment

    Hi all

I try to configure the new verion Hyperion 11.1.2.2 on distributed environment, but during the configuration of the calculation to the failed server application manager and get error message like "deploy for Application Server has failed." I don't know what is the problem and how to fix it. I tried to read the log files, but I am not able to undersantd where to watch and to debug this issue.

My Hyperion environment view as one below: -.

    1. I used Microsoft VMWARE to build my Enviornment Hyperion
2 - I created 1 Server 2003 domain window and 4 clients in this domain. (All these systems have windows 2003 server is installed). I have the name given to each client server i.e. system A system B, System C system D
    3. I installed SQL 2005 and created data bases for all components of Hyperion that is Shared services, Manager of calculation, epma on a system
    5. I have installed and configured the services foundation and weblogic server on a system b. (in this system, I have installed and configured the SSP, weblogic, workspace and able to deployed application server on the same system)
    6. on a system, I am able to complete installation for hyperion Performance Management architect and Manager of calculation and be able to complete all the type of configuration for these two, but as soon as the system tries to configure all associated with the SERVER APPLICATION services that it fails to configure. On a configuration system summary page shows everything is configured, but APPLICATION SERVER says FAILED written on a red colored letters.

I explored the log files and found that calculation Manager server application doesn't have to be deployed or to be deployed on the application server is not...

Since then, I don't know where to look and how to debug this issue, I ask all friends of hyperion to help and guide me to debug as I tried to install this product since last Friday and still no out put...

I'll be really grateful if someone sharing his wisdom to help me...

    Thanks to all in advance...

    Thank you
    Safi

Have you installed on the machine of the Foundation as well as the machine that they will be deployed in all web applications on WebLogic.

"On the computer on which you will administer the WebLogic Server, you must install all of the Web applications for all applications that you plan to deploy on any machine in the environment. (The Administration WebLogic Server is installed and deployed on computer Services Foundation) »

    See you soon

Can someone tell me if its possible to do?
Should I just drop the war in the deployment of the server folder?

    Thank you

    Wrong forum.

Move the thread (close and re-post) to each of discoverer
or somewhere in http://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=193 (probably Oracle ACE - general forum).
