  the issue was that the VMware system was on a different subnet, and the firewall (TMG) blocked. bring the RDP to the Vcenter server and vsphere then open works like a charm

  OK so Essbase is now running, so you should be able to test a connection through Maxl, run c:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\EssbaseServer\essbaseserver1\bin\startMaxl.bat

  Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Answers forum! The IP address of your laptop must be assigned by DHCP through your router. Proceed as follows to make sure that your laptop computer to obtain an IP address automatically:

  ·          Open network and sharing Center via Control Panel or by double-clicking on network control and select Properties.

  ·          Click on to view the status of

  ·          Click on Properties

  ·          When Windows asks your permission to continue, click continue .

  ·          Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) , and then click Properties

  ·          Verify that the obtain an IP address automatically and DNS server obtain an address automatically are selected.

  ·          Follow the same steps for the connection of your Internet Version 6 (TCP/IPv4) Protocol

  ·          Click OK and exit to the desktop.

  I would then recycle your adapter to disconnect manually for 10 to 20 seconds and then reconnect. Your connection once we connected is displayed, try to connect to the internet.

  * I installed esx 4.0 within a vmware desktop 7.

  * whenever I try to open an OS Fords under army exh via VI client I get this error message.

  * I can ping from the host esx server but I can not telnet the BONES on the 903 host port.

  * I have reset the firewall configuration to allow everything on the esx server still the same thing.

  I want to build some virtual machines under esx server. This error is not to let that happen.

  Try to stop the firewall on the ESX host, as well as on the computer where you run VI client.

  If possible please delete the firewall between the two, then try to connect using the VI client. If it does not connect remove the firewall between a connection attempt

  In this way, you can locate the problem if it is with the firewall or the server itself.

  To stop the firewall on ESX run below command

  esxcfg-firewall - allowincommin - allowoutgoing (this is for ESX4)

  Firewall service stop (that's ESX3)

• Windows Server 2008 R2 (version complete RTM version) - device driver CD/DVD lack cannot install OS

  When trying to install Windows Server 2008 R2 (which is 64-bit only btw) and error saying: the CD/DVD device driver is missing (as per joint). This prevents the installation to continue.

  The virtual machine is configured as:

  How did you get the media?  It works on other physical servers?  I came across this problem with the RTM version, and it turned out to be a corrupt ISO.

• Unable to create a DSN in 64-bit on Windows Server 2008 64-bit SP2

  I try to install vCenter server 4.1 on a Windows Server 2008 64 bit SP2.  When I get to the step of the installation where it asks for the DSN, the Setup program cannot find the DSN I created and told me to create a 64-bit DSN.  I use the ODBC data sources utility in administrative tools to create the DSN.  I also tried to create the DSN with the ODBC utility available in the sysWOW64 directory.  Creating DSN I only give myself only one possibility for a pilot:

  Name: Company of Microsoft SQL Server Version: 6.00.6002.18005: Microsoft Corporation files: SQLSRV32. DLL DATE: 11/04/2009

  With the 32 in the file name that looks like it is a 32-bit driver.  Any ideas?  Thank you

  You can try to install the version SQL NATIVE drivers that ARE 64-bit.  That could help.

  I am a newbie to Flash media server and I want to study its use.

  Does anyone have experience with Flash Media Server 3.5.3 running on Windows Server 2008 R2? I installed FMS on my Windows Server 2008 R2, but cannot start the administration console.

  Furthermore, I installed FMS on a 32-bit Windows Server 2003 computer. And I am able to use the administration console on the 2003 server to connect to the Server 2008 R2 installation.

  Also, I have a full disc that is used to contain the content of the media streaming via FMS. How can I configure FMS using this drive as root for multimedia file instead of using "c:\program files (x86)\...\webroot\vod.

  1 as you say rightly first of all it is not question FMS as you can connect to the server administration through another machine. So probably his Win 2008 or IE or some Flash question - don't have much idea about it.

  I want to download Windows Server 2008 R2 Evaluation (180 days). Walker I click the option given on http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=19994, it starts to download the software without any download/Transfer Manager. I'm the challenge is stopping the download due to any reason (I don't know if it's the internet connection problem or what else)... and when it starts again it starts with 0%, i.e. all the stuff downloaded until then are all is lost.
  Is there any download/transfer manager that I can use, which will resume the download in case of problem mentioned above?
