  Please note that you can open PDF files using only the CD player. Any other format will not be supported by the software.

  I have a requirement to customize the iExpenses page.

  I need to generate a PDF output with the detailed expenditures report when the user clicks on submit button to create an expense report.

  I need to take this pdf file and attach it to the expense report itself (with attachments fnd)

  I have an idea about creating a BEEP report and call it from the OFA.

  Usually, we write the pdf to the outputstream and view the pdf in the browser / to the local machine.

  Can someone send me some code examples to capture this pdf file and write back to the database as a BLOB.

  You can do it in two phases. Get first the BI Publisher API part works so that it returns the PDF file in the browser. You can see how it is done here:

  Once you have this work, your code will need to the pdf file in a stream of data that you can then write to a blob in a table. You can see an example of a blob in a table here:

• Strange artifacts on the PDF output (when the line is near a box)

  I hope someone can suggest a solution for this problem of purplexing.

  I have a rectangle (actually occurs similar rectangle image or text boxes) which connects to a line (Japanese points). Whenever the line is close to the rectangle, there is a slight but noticeable white line that surround the rectangle.

  When I start the editing mode in Adobe Acrobat format, he reveals that the PDF version of exit/distilled introduced this artifact by separating the part of the image in a "piece." The artifact (white line) is the border around this piece of image!

  Also, it is important to add that, if I move the line away from the rectangle, the low white line disappears.

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  

  Export with transparency Dynamics (PDF/X-4) or if you have to distill make sure printing > advanced > flattening of transparencies is set to high resolution.

• CS6 - bitmaps hires are pixelated in the PDF output

  Hi all

  I am creating images and using bitmaps of high resolution of implementation in these frameworks (for example 1000 pixel wide .png) and then using the function object/fitting/Fit the object proportionally. I use the highest resolution practice in order to ensure good quality when the PDF document is zoomed in.

  Unfortunately, what I see, is that the images seem to only 100% correct. Just Zoom displays a pixelated image.

  I checked for the PDF downsampling so that is not the issue. Any ideas?

  In the export to PDF dialog, under the section called Compression, you will notice that it incorporates jpg in the PDF file with a resolution of together (like 300 dpi). Therefore, if you zoom in too far on the PDF, ground will appear you fail.

  No matter how high resolution of the placed image has been, it will be downsampled to the finished PDF document. If you expect to zoom a lot; Maybe you can set the graphics to a higher resolution?

• Page border appears in the PDF output.

  I created an rtf with some information and client model requires a page for this border. so I added a page border, but the stange, is that when I saw in pdf its does not display is not the border. y at - it all alternataive for this device or any explanation.

• Information about the files in the PDF output

  Does anyone know why InDesign puts the file of information outside the crop marks? Screenshot below:

  

  We have an external area of the slug 24 defined pts and at first I thought that, but it comes actually to 4pts IN that. We also did the same thing with the slug on the other files box, but they always put the information file on the inside of the crop marks.

  I think maybe it's that the little trim pad (just 4.25 inches wide) is simply too small. When I output as spreads, it puts the information inside the cultures on spread pages, but not on single pages.

  However, when I pulled out as differences I don't get the name of the CS3 file, only the page number as shown in the screenshot below.

  

  Anyone know if it is not including the file name are a bug in CS3? CS5 seems the name of the output file that I expect.

  For anyone who cares: on a couple of the series we make take us exit InDesign PDF and manipulate it for various things, sometimes to crop the sides of pages tight for crop marks. With InDesign to put the file of information outside the cultures we can without pruning out crop marks.

  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  I remember more, CS3 is variable? Yes, he does. You can add a block of text anywhere in a defined area of slug and use a variable to list the file name, date of exit or a host of other useful things. Place it on the master page.

  I'm not using DITA Maps, but I create printed documentation (pdf) RoboHelp HTML. My previous post had nothing to do with RoboHelp for Word, sorry for the misunderstanding. You create a word document or a pdf file, whenever you export printed documentation.

  To create a pdf file, I got out of printed documents. As far as I know, RoboHelp is still a Word document which it then converts to PDF. I just don't let RoboHelp generate PDF, I can always change the Word document. On the print screen, uncheck generate Adobe PDF format and select generate Word doc. Just change the word document and then create a PDF of it.

  I m a vector problem with PDFs made with Illustrator (Ai CC 17). When I send them to other designers or clients with an older version (CS5) that they can't open PDFs in artificial intelligence. I thought Universal PDF and should work with ANY version of AI, as well as any version of ANY program there vector (Inkscape, Corel, etc.) ... If it has to do with my output PDF Properties dialog box when save as PDF in my CC Ai? -What I need: I want to be able to output my vector illustrations in a PDF format that is UNIVERSAL and can be opened and edited by everyone about what vector program, they have and even Word documents. -Someone told me to deselect the option "preserve Illustrator editing capabilities" in the PDF output dialog box.  It will be enough?

  This kind of work falls into a category that should be editable in many applications of vector. But maybe not all in the same easy manner. And maybe not in other software such as Word.

  More compatible file format is EPS (version 3). But this file format is a bit dated and indeed should not be used in modern workflows. So even if you enable some users, you turn off others.

  Therefore, it is best to offer multiple formats. But even in this case, you will get all of your users.

  You might want to delve deeper into other software formats and file if you want to get into this new.

• PDFMaker, Outlook 2010 & Acrobat Pro XI - certain attachment types not included in PDF output

  First of all my PC is Windows 7 operating system, Office 2010 and Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (v11.0.0). We use the Acrobat PDFMaker COM Add - In for Outlook for convert and add e-mail in PDF portfolios, because it brings together our emails in a relatively permanent format, even including attachments.

  However there seems to be a problem with attachments 'image', are not included in the output PDF file after conversion. There is no problem for other file types. I tested .xlsx, .docx, .pdf, .msg attachments and all are included in the PDF output without problem. But the images (.jpg, .gif) simply do not come through at all.

  If after you have created the PDF file I have manually save the attachments in the email and add them to the PDF add without problem. However they just do not appear as attachments in the PDF when using PDFMaker.

  I hope that makes sense and would appreciate any assistance that can be provided.

  After reading this: http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/187419-adobe-acrobat-convert-email-to-pdf-issue, it seems that the problem is that our administrators have prohibited access to the Outlook security Temp folder which I assume is where are stored the image attachments.

  Workaround proposed in this thread (by dragging the email on the desktop and the conversion from there) works very well so I would say this to someone else who has this problem.

• Out problems with the purpose of transparency on the PDF and JPG - CS4

  I have a problem, save PDF to a file that has a square of 100% black CMYK with blur effect and it has an effect of multiplication on a gray white/blue rectangle. I wanted a simulation of the simple, similar shade that I use sometimes with white gradient / black + multiply.

  But, as I saw it in many other versions of this ad, that I'm working on them objects of white or white/gray gradient (rectangles, text) simply disappear on the PDF output. Sometimes it disappears entirely, other they appear incomplete by the measurement of the object "multiplied" above him.

  I have this problem also sometimes in transparency the value multiply on back/white gradient in a light background.

  -Pixelate effects are set at 300 DPI

  -Document color setings are CMYK

  -All the black or white in this case are 100 %K or 0 %K on CMYK

  -Illustrator CS4

  Here's a curios thing: when a white game on CMYK not 0.0.0.0, but 1.1.1.1 the problem disappear! As it does if my black is 100.100.100.100.

  -Flatten the layers and save as PDF

  -Import of AI on Photoshop and then saving a JPG file - it worked, but I want a PDF file for a better quality of text

  Try to turn on/off the preview overprinting mode > overview of overprinting in the illustrator file. The Illustrator file looks like the PDF file when you turn on preview overprinting? If this is the case, you will need to correct overprinting objects so that they will knock out.

  1. to return frame1 when the query (i.e. group G1) has given, this frame1 would print out the pdf of the report xml editor - correct work

  in the xml output, I saw that < LIST_G1 / > generates as below

  It solved using the IF ELSE block in the two frames, I'm back frame1 for the scenario IF count (G1) > 0 and return frame2 for another scenario.

• How to get the creation Date of the site recorded for the footer output (printing to PDF)?

  If you go to Page Setup in Firefox, the option for the footer is the date and/or time of output. I don't want today's date that its print, but would rather than the Date of the creation of this web session saved as it is important to display this information with a legal matter. The research that has been done on a computer is out of date of creation down instead. I know that I could add the date by using the custom field for a footer in the Page options but prefer automated sound somehow when you print to a PDF (CutePDF). Please let me know.

  You might be able to automate this process if you open your PDFs with Adobe Acrobat Pro and make sure that the PDF file has a date of receipt:
