Bridge CS5 and the hierarchical keywords?

Hi, people.

It all started with CS5 and I'm trying to add keywords.

I find that when I add a lower level or subordinate the bridge keyword will not automatically add the top-level key word to go with it.

For example, let's say that I added keyword location-specific data.  So, I add 'San Franciscio' and I think 'California' to add because it is the parent keyword.  But this doesn't seem to be the case.

I'm missing a few button that says 'Add automatically the keyword parent' or something?

Thank you

Greg

P.S. Oh and bonus points, no idea how I retrieve all keywords in a single image and apply them to another image?  A sort of a copy-and-dump feature?

This option is in edition/preferences/keywords.

    Hello

    with photo: getFormattedMetadata("keywordTags") or photo: getFormattedMetadata("keywordTagsForExport"), I get the keywords to a photo. But how can I get the hierarchical keywords?

    Photo: getRawMetadata ("keywords") provides the table of LrKeywords applied to the photo.  Then call the keyword: getParent() repeatedly to get the keywords ancestor.

  • Best way to deal with pictures from the start? (Bridge CS5 and iPhoto)

    Hi all

    I am just learning the strings of all the suite CS5 and began to add keywords etc in bridge, when I realized that I couldn't access the files in my iPhoto library ('09). I read a few threads on this topic, but have not really found a consensus on how to deal with it.

    I think I'm in a good position to get things right from the start, because I have no tags or sides etc. in my configuration of iPhoto (and only add keywords for the few photos that weren't in my iPhoto library), and wonder what you think is the best way to sort photos given I intend to use them in web design etc. and all the parts of my suite CS5.

    If the photos in iPhoto is the best what is the best way to do it? I have read suggestions do a right-click on the library and click "Show content" - or something like cela, but that does not come up as an option when I right click my iPhoto in Bridge library. Thanks a lot for your help!

    Please let me know if there is any info I could give you that could be useful in order to understand this one.

    Best,

    Mara

    PS: for the temporary folder, I use a name like to-do Images

    Remember once the keywords are used is not just the manipulation/image adjustments which are important metadata but also robust observation with integrity

  • CS5 and the operating system upgrade to Windows 10

    I have Photoshop CS5 running on Windows 7 X 64. My operating system will be upgraded to Windows 10 in late July, through Windows Update. It will break my installation? I need to block the upgrade?

    Permanently disable before even trying! The activation system just don't like the changes made to the system, and most certainly will not work afterwards. A reinstall of the CS5 will probably be necessary anyway.

  • Mini Bridge InDesign and the colour of the labels.

    Hello everyone, I am just starting to use InDesign, it's a great experience!

    I'm a photographer and I use the software for my photo book, but I have a little problem with mini Bridge, is it possible to put a tag color for photos?

    This way I can recognize the image used of others. (Sorry for my bad English, I hope you understand)

    Thanks for your help.

    Do a right click - go to the review mode.

    Then right click on the image to add a label.

    I think you can change labels and colors in the bridge itself.

  • Premiere Pro, After Effects CS5 and the shared memory pool

    This feature works fine in Win 7 x 64. I think adding more RAM and going up to 12 GB. However, I noticed that CS5 sharing memory pool is limited to 75% of the physical RAM installed. Even if that makes sense, if you have a computer with the minimum requirements of 4 GB (because Windows itself will use a little less 1 GB + /), it makes less sense to 12 GB, where 9 GB is all you can use for the pool of CS5.

    Is this the way it works, or is it possible that I can be 'greedy' and go the number of 75% for larger amounts of physical RAM? It helps to have as physical RAM as much as possible for AE previews high resolution, etc..

    It is by design.

  • Reference object and the new keyword

    Hello

    I got a call from class ThreadHandler that implements Runnable()

    I have to loop through 10 times as below

    for (int i = 0; i < 10; i ++) {}
    ThreadHandler oTHandler = new ThreadHandler();
    OTh thread = new Thread (oTHandler);
    oTh.start ();
    }

    Question:

    1. This will create needless referring to ThreadHandler?
    2. can I just instantiate ThreadHandler to the attribute declaration and use just new keyword each time through the loop

    For example:
    ThreadHandler oTHandler
    Thread oTh
    for (int i = 0; i < 10; i ++) {}
    oTHandler = new ThreadHandler();
    oTh = new Thread (oTHandler);
    oTh.start ();
    }
    Type foo;
    for(ndx = 0; ndx < 1000; ndx++) {
    foo = new Type("etc");
    // ...
    }
    // <-- foo is no longer in scope

    But "foo" is carried here. The first is better.

  • I designed a website in Flash CS5 and the .swf file is not displayed on the web!

    OK, I'm very new to Dreamweaver CS5, I created a website in Flash CS5 (it is a model of "coming soon").  I got all transferred in Dreamweaver CS5.  However, when I saw in the browser it works fine, but when it is transferred to my server I see nothing other than the index with the .sfw in her file files.  When I click on it, my coming soon design show! I added an index.html file, but when I do this I get a blank screen.  I tried a file index.swf without success.  How can I get this for a glimpse on the web without displaying the index? I changed the permissions of 644 to 755, still nada. Here is my site www.dallasxplosion.net.  You gurus can help me with this minor problem?

    Hello

    Please try it out.

    Simply save this file "dallasxplosiontvcs.html" under the name "index.html", so your "dallasxplosiontvcs.html" remains in your directory, load the file 'index.html' on your server. Watch Hat happens, I'm sure you will be fine.

  • Balance of whites DO NOT synchronize in Bridge CS5

    Instead of LR3 I use Bridge CS5 and the tool in camera raw to my changes (it of all the same tools and runs faster). Anyway, a strange problem I noticed recently, after SEVERAL changes of employment... I noticed that the white balance was not the same on all my files. IT IS A HUGE * PROBLEM FOR ME! I tried everything, but for some reason any bridge is synchronize only not the white balance, even though I just had selected white balance... I need to have all my files the same... I do NOT work in the camera raw module and it does NOT work when you right-click, go to settings, copy the settings and then paste settings...

    Anyone else experienced this?

    I have ACR installed 6.1

    Is the WB As Shot, perhaps?  Synchronizing As Shot as your impeccable WB, sets the WB to whatever the camera was put in, which if it is Auto WB in the camera, then the values Temp/tint will be different for each photo.  If you want that all the parameters of the WB for Temp/tint values you need to change the Custom WB or use one of the selections included having a constant Temp/tint numbers set WB.

    What I usually do, is change the WB shot as something slightly different by changing the value of shade and then set the color back to what it was if necessary, which will make it say custom instead of ACE Shot and then synchronize with this Custom value.

    No you have not, but in case you decide to unsubscribe, or if there is a problem with CC, you'll have something to fall back on. Unless you really need the space, it won't hurt to keep it around as a backup.

  • How to bring back the PHOTOSHOP TOOLS in bridge CS5.1?

    I used the PHOTOSHOP under TOOLS option in Bridge CS5 all the time.  I upgraded my InDesign to CS5.5 and with it I have automatically upgraded to bridge CS5.1 but now ther is no longer an option under TOOLS PHOTOSHOP.  When I try to open the oldest Bridge CS5, it automatically opens CS5.1.  How can I return the option under TOOLS in bridge CS5.1 PHOTOSHOP?

    Thanks for any information you can provide.

    How can I return the option under TOOLS in bridge CS5.1 PHOTOSHOP?

    It seems related to the different versions and their startup scripts. Bridge preferences Start Up Scripts has a script PS showing first check and see if the checkmark in front is verified. If this isn't the case, you must copy the old writing to this location. Don't know if it works and not knowing if you have a Mac or Windows. For a Mac there is library at the level of the root (so not in the user account).

    Here is the way: HD/Library/Application Support / Adobe / startup scripts. You probably have two folders, one called CS5 and called CS5.5 one. Try to copy (copy, no travel) the Photoshop script for the CS5.5 folder and try if it works. Theoretically, bridge 4.1 (that comes with CS5.5 - Yes, it is a bit confusing) should recognize scripts. And basically bridge 4 (CS5) and bridge 4.1 (CS5.5) are the same. But if you define Bridge 4.0 it will probably not recognize the new beginning of InDesign scripts.

  • Lot: Open Bridge "Stacks" in the form of layers in PS CS5 + run action. Is this possible with script?

    A couple of days, I posted this topic - I did not know this forum/group so the thread is displayed in Photoshop scripts and windows of the bridge. I did find a solution on these forums - can help any person here?

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/880777?TSTART=0

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/880779?TSTART=0

    I would like to automate a part of my job, which is to open the images superimposed (in Bridge CS5) in the form of layers in Ps CS5 and performs a PS action than the layers of composites and processes the image. Something similar to 'Process Collection' in Bridge CS5 only with my own action instead of merging HDR/panorama.

    Apparently, it's possible with Mac "Automator" - I can do in Windows? I have no experience with writing scripts, but have friends who can help. Can someone tell me if its possible and point me in the right direction please?

    This must be a batch process. I know how to open images in layers of the bridge so that I can manually run action PS - I deal with automatically batches of images in this same way.

    To clarify, if possible script must

    (1) find the first battery (in bridge [in the selected folder])

    2) open as layers in PS

    (3) run PS action

    (4) save and close (like psd retaining layers)

    (5) find battery new bridge (selected folder) and try again.

    I mean by "stack", a set of similar files (for example same scene-2 EV, 0EV, + 2 EV)

    Function 'Collection of process' of the bridge is great because it recognizes very skillfully similar images (I think that you first need to stack them) opens to them and either treated in a hdr or panoramic image. Instead or hdr or pano, wouldn't be great if you can run your own action.

    The bridge Image Processor is fantastic to open a package of individual files and run your own action of treatment, but it will not be open to groups of images ("Stacks" or sets) in the form of layers.

    What I need, is essentially a hybrid of the two.

    In case missed you my end added in the other thread, you can watch the auto collection script that comes with the bridge and use it as a basis for what you want to do. You can also to the controller of the creation of your batteries if their timestamps are nearby. Overnight Auto Collection Script now performs two types of battery HDR and Panoramas.  You may be able to modify it to a third type of battery. You stack type and use your stack of transformation of the process instead of mearge of HDR or PhotoMerge.

    The help of Bridge:

    The script Auto Collection CS5 from Adobe Bridge assembles sets of images into piles for treatment as a high dynamic range (HDR) or composite panoramas in Photoshop CS5. The script collects images into stacks based on capture time, exposure settings and the alignment of the image. The timestamps must be within 18 seconds for the Auto Collection script to process the photos. If the exposure settings vary according to the pictures and content overlaps by more than 80%, the script interprets the photos as a HDR set. If the exposure is constant and content overlaps by less than 80%, the script interprets the photos as part of a panorama.

    Note: You must have Adobe Bridge with Photoshop CS5 CS5 Collection car is available.
    1. To activate the Auto Collection CS5 script, choose the command Edition > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe Bridge CS5.1 > Preferences (Mac OS).
    2. In the Startup Scripts panel, select Auto Collection CS5 and then click OK.
    3. Select a folder with the HDR or panoramic and choose stacks > Auto stack Panorama/HDR.
    4. Choose Tools > Photoshop > process Collections in Photoshop to merge automatically and visualize the result in Adobe Bridge.
