Bridge does not open on new install

I just installed CS5 Design Premium on my iMac to 2015. Everything except the Bridge opens up very well. The error I get just said that bridge to close unexpectedly. Naturally, I check to see if the software is up-to-date. There are updates available, but when I try to download it says that there is an error during the download and I have to try again later. None of these error messages tell me what I can do to solve the problem. Any suggestions?

    Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.

    If you use Bridge CC, update to the latest version 6.2. Adobe Bridge CC 6.2 version now available! Adobe content corner

    1. Please, do a right-click on the bridge on the desktop icon and select "Run as Administrator".
    2. If this does not help, reset the Bridge preferences and then try it.

    Steps: -.

    Start Adobe Bridge, and immediately press Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS down) until the dialogue box reset settings appears.

    Select all three options - reset preferences, reset Standard Workspaces and all miniature Purge Cache - and then click OK.

    What system are you on? Did you run the Creative Suite cleanup tool inbetween that installation of your tent? If this is not the case, try this to produce a 'clean' with the default installation. Except that there could be a system specific to the issues at stake, but once again, we would need to actually know what system you are on...

    Upgrade Bridge CS 6 bridge CC and CC does not open.  Sometimes the icon bounces several times but nothing.

    Tried reinstalling and upgrading to permissions with no effect.  Tried opening with the command-option-shift without effect.

    We published a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2015) on July 19, 2016. This update is available via the Adobe Creative Cloud application.

    We addressed some crash bridge issues experienced on the launch of the application. Please try the new version and are looking for the crash problems you encountered.

    If you are not able to locate the bridge (CC 2015) on the creative cloud application, you must update the creative cloud application.

  • CS6 Adobe Bridge does not open

    I intalled PS CS6 yesterday to see that Btidge does not open. I have looked for answers since then and have not yet found any. I reinstalled just to see if it would make a difference, but it didn't. I'm currently under Windows 7 64-bit. Photoshop runs great, the only problem is with the bridge, and apparently I can't get any help from Adobe until tomorrow

    Thank you mjw5997 for sending me the dmp file! We checked and found that it is a bug in code Brige.

    This launch issue occurs when you install Bridge CS6 on a machine with installed CS2 bridge.

    We can repair, but I don't know when the fix can be published. [Currently we have workaround: create an empty folder in C:\Users\[your username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\.

  • My Adobe CS4 Bridge does not open. Help?

    When I click on the bridge to open it, there is no error message, but it does not open.  It was working fine, then one day I tried to open it and it wouldn't.  Help, please!  The Adobe customer service is useless beyond this... has kept me on the phone on hold for 45 minutes and then referred me to chat and chat told me I didn't qualify for cat because of the version of PS I.  Ridiculous and I'm so frustrated right now!

    Hold down the Crtl (option on mac) and launch Bridge.  You will get a window to reset with 3 options.

  • Create a hyperlink that does not open a new window if a window containing the url is already open?

    Is there a way to create a hyperlink to a url that ' climbs to ' window of the URL if it is already open in the browser?  Therefore, a new window does not open and the existing window containing the hyperlink would not change either.

    If the target url is not already open, then yes the link could be open in a new window or in an existing window.

    Does anyone know if there is a command/code for this?

    Firefox worked fine and then both the Ctrl-T and add a new tab will not open a new tab. New tabs can be opened by a link.

    Make a check of malware with some scan of malware programs.

    You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database prior to scanning.

  • N command does not open a new window on Safari

    I recently noticed this. But I can not press this shortcut command + N (⌘+ N) to open a new window. I can open new tabs by pressing command-Tand even of new private browsing windows by pressing ⌘ + SHIFT + N.

    There are no shortcuts in my preference in System Preferences that have been changed. It does not work when I try to set the shortcuts app for Safari for new window command-N. It does not work when I set up a different shortcut such as command + P to this effect.

    I have OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 on Macbook Pro 2011 Unibody Early 2011 with the new Bluetooth wireless (from 2012) card, optical drive, replaced by original HDD and an SSD installed in place of the original one.

    Is it possible that my physical changes cause these weird problems. I hope not.

    Quit Safari (in the menu),

    Select the Apple-> ForceQuit menu» Finder, it will relaunch the Finder.

    Safari should behave normally after that.

    Forgive me, this is my first time on the forum, but I scored my last message as "problem solved" and it turns out, is not.

    CC has been updated a couple of hours ago, and now the bridge will not be open. It randomly opens once, but I don't know which button does work, because I've tried everything I could think of, and the response has been very late in any case. I closed and now can't open, through Photoshop or the cloud creatives pop up. I'm working on a time-sensitive project and really need access to the bridge. Any ideas?

    We discussed some issues crash Bridge in this patch. Please try the new construction and are looking for the crash problems you encountered.

    You may need to update the creative cloud app and restart your computer to see the update patch.

    When I try to open a link in a new tab, nothing happens

    These three fail?

    • Right click > open link in a new tab
    • CTRL + click on the link
    • Click the link with the mouse wheel (if you have one)

    If you use Firefox for a while, can associate you it in time with any software change, such as:

    • Firefox update
    • Windows Update
    • hardware driver update

    Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

    Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

    If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

    Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).
