• Bad image links Starter memory on Mac with MAMP

  This issue may be far enough, but I'm grabbing at straws right now. I was wondering if other CS3 users have had similar experiences.

  I use a laptop MacBook Pro with CS3 and MAMP. When I bought my Mac last spring, I noticed he had a moment difficult management of browsers; I can not open too many tabs without overwhelming memory of my computer.

  However, I fell off a cliff a few days ago. Now, my memory crashes with one tab open. I discovered that the culprit is images - image links. Display images very well, but if I have a broken - link actually a link to an image that is not - the memory goes haywire. It is an important issue, because I recently changed my Like_This URL like - who - all lowercase with dashes instead of underscores. I discovered that image links should be amended accordingly. But it will take a while to get everything changed.

  Some of my test results are a bit confusing, but it seems that, in some cases, I have also problems memory if I linked him to another local site images. For example, /images/buffalo.jpg works, but not of ht tp://gw/images/buffalo.jpg

  Also, I found at least a page that has suffocated from a link to a JavaScript file on another site. All my JavaScript files are on a central Web site that has a link to my other sites.

  Anyway, I don't have any idea what is happening. I'm guessing that the problem might have originated with a recent software update, but I don't know if the problem is related to Apple, MAMP or CS3. I cloned my hard drive, and then removed from my main drive and reinstalled OS X (Mavericks). Install third-party software except MAMP. Then I copied on my database and one of my sites and tested. The problem is still there.

  So I'm completely confused. In fact, I have a feeling that I won't be able to really solve this problem, but I would like to find at least some sort of workaround.

  Any tips?

  Update: with using a technology from Apple, I have narrowed the problem down to Apache (the one installed with MAMP). So I'll check some Apache forums now. Thanks for the tips.

• Strange blue background on focus image link

  I'm having a problem with a Web site that I design (http://petrefuge.erabranding.com).

  I have sprites to PNG image with transparency that serve as navigation links.  The problem I have is that when the image links are concentrated (in Chrome, at present, I am unable to focus in Safari or Firefox.) or active, blue fills the transparency behind the image.  The blue is very nice but, unfortunately, completely undesirable.  Is it just another form of the blue outline regrettable failure for links?

  In addition, although I worked very hard to make scrolling unnecessary in most browser windows, some pages load with a vertical scroll bar, while others do not.  I was not able to understand why.

  The site is in development, so I'm not worried about the image links broken (unless they suddenly appear in the top navigation bar).

  Any help or insight that you have, otherwise, would be very useful.

• Add ons page is displayed in html, broken images, not including the menu bar on the left. How can I fix it?

  Previously, I was getting "download error" while trying to install add ons, after having reinstalled the add ons page now appears in HTML with broken images but the navagation bar (Add-ons, Extensions, Plugins etc) is still usable. What should I do?

  Reload the Web page while bypassing the cache using one of the following steps:

  • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the reload with a left click button.

  OR

  • Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + SHIFT + R (Windows and Linux)
  • Press command + SHIFT + R (Mac)

  Let us know if this solves the problems you are having.

• Xperia z3 foto widget display the broken image icons instead of thumbnail/preview image

  Initially, I used my Z3 without SD card. Any word very well: album AND the foto widget that allows to navigate through the photos.

  After

  -installing an SD card,

  -changing the location for newly taken photos on SD card

  - AND by moving some pictures of other directories-

  - AND the creation of a number of files .nomedia on these directories to make these photographs appear not not in the album, nor in the foto widget.

  foto widget displays an icon of a broken image for all photos taken prior to this change. All new photos appear in the widget and app album.

  I delete the file data and the album (in album settings - all apps) cache-.

  It does nothing (so far).

  How can I force the app/widget album to recreate its database and preview/thumbnails?

  Working solution for the following:

  Order the soft MediaStorage
  Settings > Apps > all > storage media (FROM: Medienspeicher) "App Info" > stop App

  Data deleted from the App MediaStorage
  Settings > Apps > all > storage media (FROM: Medienspeicher) 'App Info' > clear data

  Restarted the application (via MyPhoneExplorer) or by rebooting the phone.

  The process appears in the form "android.process.media" in the list of processes (not sure, I guess) android

  To provide a treatment could turn the endurance mode or add "MediaStorage" to the list of exceptions of runing apps background even in mode stamania.

  A: it is __NOT__ take very long. For my 1000 + pictures and a few videos is was a matter of minutes to see the widget started foto avatars correctly and see the album recovers very quickly. If you reach a corner of the album or the photo images widget still not recovered, the image appears rather quickly.

  (>) b where residing the .thumbnails directory? -After accepts the SD - be - it in/storage/sdcard1/DCIM or > in/storage/sdcard0/DCIM as it was before the installation of the SD card?

  R: it seems that the .thumbnails directory still resides on the internal memory (i.e./storage/sdcard0/DCIM). This is at least the case for my phone.

  It also seems that .thumbnails files are ONLY used for the foto widget for the App album someone could confirm?

  (> c) how to either force the media scanner to run and update the widget photos foto and the album database / see/check that

  Stop the MediaStorage process, clear data from this application and start it again again and keep visiting the widget from the album and or foto.

• BlackBerry smartphones broken image in the media, photos, images icons

  Peripheral is installed last BB Desktop Manager and Roxio BB9000 to manage image files that initially, I got 5 photos loaded into the BB9000 and could see very well in the media, photos, images, I then took 2 pictures with the camera BB9000 and saved. They came very well in all the images in media, photos, I then used Roxio, launched from the BB Desktop Manager to remove these 2 photos of the BB9000 and everything seemed to be fine as Roxio showed the 5 original images as present in the home, user, file photo when I disconnected the BB9000 and accessible Media, photos, images There are now 5 images and 2 broken icon thumbnails. Then I activated the mass of home media, Options, memory, I then connected the BB9000 via USB (to stop BB Desktop Manager at this point) and open the disk (in my case G:\) in Explorer. I clearly see 5 images in the original folder and each of them can be opened through Explorer. Then I unplugged the USB cable and this time there are 4 icons image shattered by the media, photos, images, while the 5 original images are still all there. An image has been duplicated (called trail.jpg) and if I delete one using the BB9000, probably both will disappear but for the moment, did nothing. If I select one of the broken image in media, photos, images icons and select Remove, a prompt appears "the selected file is read-only. Are you sure you want to delete? ». By selecting Yes, does nothing. The image remains a broken image icon. How does it evolve?

  This seems to be that the actual image file has been removed, but the bbthumbs.dat file still has the image in his thumb nail index.

  I have a page with links to nav 2 from 2 different images. 1 image / link works well with Firefox, Chrome and Safari. The other image / link works well with firefox, only half of the image is active in Chrome and none of the image is active in safari. Fine links documents extraction. I replaced the image, the container as well as relinked. The result is the same. Can someone please?   Delete the empty apDiv7 after your tag.

  In this case, apDiv7 has a higher z-index and covers some of the other items on the page, so clicks will this empty layer instead of the links below.

  Some browsers allow you to better guess what you will do when they run into errors like this, looks like Chrome is less forgiving in this situation.

  Also, look at using css floats, margins, and padding to position elements, rather than position: absolute, you are likely to encounter more problems if you continue to use the APDiv button.

  You used behavior of image for DW swap on these mouseovers, links would be updated.  Your manual approach is causing DW miss those links when it updates the pages.

• Batch recover images-links

  Hello

  I found the file-> Package-> report very useful to generate a detailed report for the image links. However, I am facing a few hundred files so the Act of entering in each of them and an individual report generation is quite tedious. I was able to reduce the overall time customing a), the shortcut key to access all and b) memorize keystrokes must complete each report however I can't help but think that there must be an easier way.

  My hypothesis is that there is a way to generate scripts this simple action so that I could just press play and I have the generated file, am I correct?

  If this is not the case, my second premise is that it would be easier to troll in XML files and analyze the links in this way?

  So, it will prompt you for the folder that contains the InDesign documents that you want to link reports. It won't descend into subfolders. If your files are not all in a folder, you can drag shortcuts and alias in a folder, and it must follow them. It will then ask you a file save report files in. It has set up to make a .csv for each document, and it does not produce documents that have no connection.

  I would like to know if I chose the file format does not work for you, or if you prefer that in a single document, or more fields or whatever.

  Tested on CS5 on Mac.

• Image links in MX2004 do not work when you use F12

  OK, this should be obvious to most of you I hope! I am a newbie and keep a problem with DW MX2004 and image links. I created a test site on my work PC and transfer the pages to my site http://mmsnyc.com/2009Test/index.htm when I download the file on my laptop for work from home page shows in DW on my laptop. But when I F12 not displayed 3 JPEG images that are on the page. Everything shows fine. Any help will be enough. Thank you!

  There are at least 6 JPEG files on this page, but some of them are related as the root of the parent site.

• CF8 multi-server IIS6-Jrun broken Images

  We had a problem with the CF8 Enterprise Edition MultiServer installation. I would appreciate any idea in there.
  
  Server details:
  Web servers
  IIS 6.0 on Windows 2003 Server
  Use the JRun connector to communicate with the servers of CF (.cfm .cfml .cfc .cfr mapped to jrun_iis6.dll)
  
  CF 8 Server:
  CF8.0.1 Enterprise edition; on windows 2003 server; 1 cluster of 2 instances; run the default proxy service ports (51000, 51002 and so on).
  
  We want to use the reverse proxy for each file type for specific virtual directories on the Web server. It is .jpg, .gif, .css and .js files.
  
  Problem:
  The specific file formats of coldfusion are transferred by proxy to CF servers without problem (as an IIS mapping exists for each of them). However, for static file formats it does not (images broken, missing files .css etc..)
  
  We observed that:
  (a) if there is no extension of web server mapping, IIS 6.0 sends a message to the images on the page 404
  (b) if there is an extension mapping to the same jrun_iis6.dll on the web server, we get an error 503 from the server in CF (indicating no mapping on the CF server)
  (c) if in addition to (b), we introduce the url scheme mapping in the web.xml file and associate it with CfmServlet, we start to get the image content in a stream of data (= 200 server response) but with the incorrect content type (it crosses in text/html). The images appear always broken, because the content-type is incorrect.
  
  At this point, we are at a loss of what we miss them.
  
  Someone at - it meet this problem before... pointers will be greatly appreciated!

  Very close. You must map the extensions to the FileServlet, not the
  CfmServlet. Then restart CF and you're in business. You can even remove
  the mappings in IIS, the mappings in the web.xml file outrepasseront them anyway.
