I get this message on my laptop and reads "error Application Host task the instruction at 0xf5e14843 referenced memory at 0xf5e14843. The memory could not be written. Click OK to complete the program on stopping down.

Hi John,.

  1. When exactly do you get the error message?
  2. Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

Memory could not be written can be caused by:

  • Faulty RAM.
  • Bad device drivers 'third' Party.
  • Too many apps, commissioning.

Method 1:

Diagnosing memory problems on your computer

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/diagnosing-memory-problems-on-your-computer

Method 2:

Try to review and remove the drivers 'doubtful '.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 3:

Start your computer in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See How to solve a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 3 in the above article.

Please return to the State of the question.

The only options it gives me is to terminate the program or to debug, which one of the two closes just for Skype. I have not tried to make a call, same Skype2Skype, but I know very well, I can talk as long as I do not click on the OK or CANCEL buttons and just move the window behind the others, this is not a problem. I tried to uninstall Skype and resettlement and who does not. Even tried out hacking the registry, and the same error comes back upward after a reinstallation. What should I do about it?

You don't need to "try" things - you need to "do" things:

It seems that the last update for Windows Media Player may contribute to this problem when the system has the Windows Driver Foundation Service active and running.

Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you should disable the WDF Service.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

Click OK to launch the Services Applet

Locate the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Service, right-click right the Service, select properties and choose disabled and OK your way out of the Services Applet to save the changes.

Note that you will not be able to 'Stop' Service first, but it's OK.

Restart your system (the WDF service is now disabled) and check your failure condition now.

    Hi lisar1808,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. Are you having similar with other programs installed on the computer?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?

    Method 1

Check if the problem persists in safe mode with network and post back with the result.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Hi Alicia,.

1 update you tried to install?

    Method 1:

You can try to run a SFC scan and check.

This problem may occur if a system file is missing or damaged.

You can refer to the method-the System File Checker tool in the following article:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

Check the updates that are installed recently.

You can view the following link to check the installed updates:

See the Windows updates are installed

    Step 2:

You can uninstall these updates and try to install the update one at a time and check for the issue.

    Remove an update

    Method 3:

You can also try a system restore to a restore point before the updates were installed.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

try running Memtest86 +, which runs from a floppy disk or CD and should eliminate or
confirm whether your one or more of your sticks of memory are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.
Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours, so no errors at that time then your ram is OK.
