BSOD "irql unexpected value" so that Windows is configure updates

I get this error irql unexpected value twice as Windows is configuring updates originally have me a perfect resettlement system making me lose everything on my computer it's on a R4 DELL M17x which has Windows 7 upgraded to Windows 8

I had the same error message with a blue screen which took into account countdown to restart, tap new.  This took place on my Windows 8 system which was not wireless when I was trying to install a wireless adapter on, after that, we went into the House of Cable Wireless internet.  The system has even threatened to crash at some point and I uninstalled and ran of restoration for the time before my installation, this NetGear adapter.  TWC customer service agent was not helpful and just said that it was the only adapter that they had.  This NetGear adapter dated 2010 box says it's for older Windows including Vista, XP and 7 systems.  I went to target today and found a card Mini Wireless Linksys for Windows including Windows 8 systems.  It has installed in 1 min - wink - and now I have internet again! -Simple.  (And Yes TWC needs to purchase new hardware!)

  • Windows cannot configure updates

Friends... I know this question has been asked before but I tried all the options without result... This has been a problem since I had installed a new Windows 7 Pro 64 SP1 using a new installation disc that has been activated as authentic on a SSD that has been wiped with Samsung Secure Erase as well as all the data and partitions deleted... the first time that window has been updated , it installed the update agent and a few updates, but failed on almost all updates from MS Security... I was able to download and install the important updates (165 right now), but at the stage of configuration it fails each of the last 5 times... I ran malwaybytes, norton full scan security and power gum, performed a clean boot, stopped the services was updated and the bits, and removed all the software distribution and even restarted, without modification of the failure to set up... interesting question, I decided to try a repair under Advanced options, using my same drive that was used to install windows and it comes up with 'system recovery options is not compatible with the version. Windows you want to repair"... why I am at a loss... I now use this system for three weeks and still have 165 important updates that do not reach the configuration... with the inability for any reason, to use the system recovery options, anyone have any other ideas, I can try? Thank you all for your time and your consideration...

  • Unable to boot from USB or ODD after that windows 8.1 update on P850 - 31L

    Hello

    I just updated a P850 - 31L for windows windows 8.1 8 by the windows store.

Before the update, I was able to boot from a USB key by pressing F12 during the boot upward.

After the update I was more able to boot from the USB drive. Select the USB key by changing the boot order in the setup of the BIOS via F2 or pressing F12 is no longer works.

Booting from ODD also is no longer possible.

The version of the BIOS is 6.70 and does not secure boot must be disabled. However the DVD and the USB I tried are signed Ubuntu 12.10, who worked before the upgrade. Fastboot in windows 8.1 is disabled.

Then, this seems to be a bug in the BIOS Toshiba? Or a windows 8.1 update the BIOS or the boot EFI in a way partition replace the BIOS setting? Really stuck here, does not seem to be much information.

Any ideas or help would be very appreciated!

    Thank you

    Michael

Update: I just tried to boot from the DVD of windows recovery 8 Toshiba and this does more or the other.

    Post edited by: michael_toshiba_forum

    OK I fixed that.

First of all, it is to note that it is possible to turn off secure in the 6.70 BIOS startup.
However this option is only available when the password is not defined in the Security menu.

After activation or deactivation of the password a reboot is necessary to make the secure boot toggle option is available or not.

It's good that I guess I assume that it can prevent secure boot are disabled when the machine is running. However this does not seem to have been associated with this problem.

I selected the option "reset to factory defaults" in the output menu.
The machine is then able to boot from USB and DVD. The boot order was also respected.

Perhaps upgrading windows 8.1 corrupt invisible somehow the BIOS settings. Or maybe it was just a stranage coincidence that the BIOS itself corrupted during the installation. Anyway this factory reset fixed.

Does anyone else have this problem? Would really appreciate a solution if you have

    Thank you

    Jacob

I fixed mine! What a relief.

I have Lenovo G580, who has the Broadcom 802.11n network adapter.

At the point where I had problems (do not already know) Windows has been configured to use the Microsoft driver for this device.

Following the advice to look at older drivers, I have found a Broadcom provided on my computer and updated driver to use. Immediately, a WiFi connected, and all seems well.

    Here are the instructions:

    # Open the Device Manager (search Windows help if you don't know what it is)

    # Select "Network adapters", and open (double-click) Broadcom 802.11n network adapter

Pilot # go to the tab and click the update driver... button

    # Select 'Browse my computer for driver software ".

    # Select 'Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

    # Select the entry "Broadcom 802.11n network adapter (Broadcom)" from the list and click Next

    Well, it worked for me.

    Good luck, Matt

  • Installed wireless Belkin, unable to see network, get error windows cannot configure this wireless connection and starting the WZC abuse

    Hello

I have a belkin wireless router that worked on my primary computer and a portable computer for years.

Recently, I moved my main computer and now it dosnt seem to work. Belkin is installed but when I ask to see available networks, it says that windows cannot configure this wireless connection and starting the WZC abuse. Belkin still works fine on my laptop so I know no there is not a problem here. Can someone help me please? I tried to type in %SystemRoot%\system32\services.mcs\s as with a question of people, but all I get is windows can't find this.

    Any ideas please?

    Thank you

    * original title - Help... problem with belkin wireless *.

Let's see if I can cut through it.

    You wrote:

Click the Wireless Networks (see this picture) - I did

Is the box 'Use Windows to configure my wireless network' checked or unchecked? There is no such box.

I connect using - he says belkin. another box saying this connection uses the following items. then underneath there are 3 tabs - install, uninstall and properties. If I press on properties it says name provider and in this box, it says windows index.

It seems that you don't have not clicked the "Wireless networks" tab, after you open the properties of your wireless adapter.  From your description, you look at the 'Général' tab: click HERE to see the "Général" tab Click HERE to see the 'Wireless Networks' tab.

There are 5 columns: name, description, status, startup type and log as.  The values for the last 3 columns should be started, automatic and Local System - on my screen there are 4 tabs at the top - general, connect you, recovery and dependency.

You skipped a step... 5 columns are in the 'Services' window initial... you arrive at "4 tabs at the top", AFTER you double-click the Wireless Auto Configuration.

Status of the service which includes 4 boxes. stop suspend and resume. the button highlighted in the start menu

Just to the right of the expression "Service status", you should see a Word.  On your system, this word probably is "stopped."  The 4 buttons (boxes) are how to control the service.  Because you said that the highlighted button is 'start' which means that the service is currently stopped, and you will need to click on this button "start" to start.

I strongly suspect that you had used the Belkin utility to control your adapter - and now, you also started WZC.  As I wrote above, you can have both running at the same time.

When you click the icon of your "Belkin", do you have a screen that looks like this: http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/img/2006/belkinn1/08.jpg

If so, you should return to the utility Services and 'Stop' the automatic configuration service.  If you want to use WZC instead of the Belkin utility, see http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/40/related/1

I'm not familiar with the Belkin Wireless networking utility, but many wifi manufacturer utilities can be used to turn your wifi on and off, then maybe your was off (the adapter on your computer - not the router).  If you identify the model of the card you have in your main computer, I'll see if I can find the manual on the Belkin website and maybe give you a little more information.

  • BSOD problems with a computer of windows 8

Hello. I've had my computer for over a year now, and since about a week after I got it I had several problems with it. Initially, I had problems with usb devices works sometimes not. In this case I have to restart several times hoping to rework them. Over time, that has become less of a problem, but still exists. Then when I play games on my pc as the League of legends and world of warcraft games themselves would break several times. I also had problems with different programs crashing like Skype, google chrome and also blocks flash in chrome. Soon enough my whole system was crashing with BSOD messages or sometimes would be only to randomly restart or freeze.

Here is a list of the different BSOD:

irql not less or equal, page fault in nonpaged area, kmode exception not handled, pool header corruption of infrastructure critical bad memory management

Unexpected kernel mode trap and driver irql not less or equivalent. With several different drivers be blamed.

Now its to the point where I'll watch a live stream on twitch.tv or a video on youtube and it will crash after a few minutes. It happens more often in these situations, or in game, but it can also happen randomly even if soon as just start or idle.

I tried many different things to update many pilots to replace my ram and hard drive as well as full reinstalls of windows and system different restore points. I wanted to ask you on this forum about it to see if it has what I can do to solve this problem before I send in for repair because I prefer not to be without him for an extended period of time.

    Thank you for hearing me.

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Please run these tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking.

Since then, it is more likely to be a pilot run everything first.

  • Blue Screen Driver IRQL blue screen of death Windows 7 Ultimate edition and Windows Vista

original title: BSOD Driver IRQL blue screen of death Windows 7 ultimate and Windows Vista

I get the BSOD, and they are different every time.

I had originally Windows Vista on my pc (HP m8300f) and it worked fine for 3 years until last month, I started to have these BSOD.

So I thought a new clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate would solve the problem. Well, I was very happy to get the new operating system installed, but a few hours later that darn BSOD appeared and im now distraught.

What is my RAM? My drivers? My hard drives?

Computer IM but I'm certainly some type of technology. I have basic computer knowledge and that's all.

You can download minidump files and find the information system here in this zip file http://www.sendspace.com/file/mfx420

This issue is very very irritating and has ruined a lot of my work.

Well up to now (18 hours) my computer has not had the BSOD and what I did is that I removed 1 GB of ram for my motherboard. Their were two sticks of 512 MB. I took them both. Now, I have 2 GB of ram running in my system and had not had a BSOD or an error after you have done this.

What is the problem with my ram? I now have 2 sticks of RAM on my motherboard and both are 1 GB each stick. What is the mix n match that causes a problem all of a sudden? My computer came with this stock of installation. I also noticed the ram I got were the brand Samsung and the other on my motherboard are another brand.

Well idk I hope it was my problem. We'll see.
