Bug in blackBerry World - contact the developer

When you view the BlackBerry World storefront, there is usually an option to contact the developer (email, twitter, etc.). I know, this options depend on developer - if he or she has provided this information.

The options used to be visible at any time, no matter if the user has purchased this app or not.

But some time ago something changed. You can see "Contact developer" option if you don't have the application. Right after the purchase, it disappears. Twitter is never visible.

That sometimes leads to negative comments, because users with questions feel abandoned. I got some comments saying "I was looking for a contact with the developer, but there is none." And I have two email support and provided of twitter accounts.

Please fix this for the satisfaction of users and developers

This issue seems to occur after an application is purchased.  The problem was sent to our development team to fix.

  • How to contact the developer of the addon to report a bug

The recent update to the Print Edit addon now requires the user to save the document edited before printing. When I select 'Print' in the taskbar addon, a 'downloads' window is displayed. What's new: previously, a pop-up appears asking if I wanted to save the edited document. Now, in the present configuration, if I select 'Save', I can print my document published, if I choose "Cancel" and not save the document, I am unable to print from the program 'print change '. I use Firefox printing option, but the document must always be closed and I get a popup window reminding me while recording the edited document. Rarely, or never, did I choose to save an edited document.

I tried in vain to find options to adjust the preferences within the program and I searched online developer contact information. If a 'solution' to this change is available online, I would like to know where. If this is not the case, the developer please [would be the non-mandatory option 'Save'.

    Hello

You can contact the developer through the support email to the add-on page for this module.

  • "Contact developer" on the world of the BB is broken.

One of my users I reported today that the button "Contact developer" for my application on BB world sends people to the Hompage URL instead of using e-mail as I put it. This used to work properly. I have my account set up to use the email for support requests, a valid Email support address is entered (and has not changed since he used to work), and the URL of media field is empty, but BB world seems to launch the URL of the homepage by mistake.

I reported this support from the seller, but I wanted to give a heads up here in case this happens to them too and they don't realize it yet.

It turns out that this is a bug in BB world. The problem is that "contact developer" correctly will open a screen dial Email if the application has never been downloaded/installed.  Once the application is installed or installed & removed, as the button "contact developer" will no longer appear.

Apparently, there is a remarkable JIRA to do this, but no estimate for repair.

  • BlackBerry App investigating the classic BlackBerry, T-Mobile and the WiFi calling app

I am looking for on this forum after being (possibly) achieved through BlackBerry World (located here, so you can make reference to what I'm going to talk: https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/35524900 ) this app is marked as 'BlackBerry Lmtd' being the developer, that's why it is implicit that BlackBerry updates to this app and is responsible for its support. I am at this point, after trying (for weeks) to find how this whole process of WiFi calling went down, I was told by T-Mobile at the level executive response that BlackBerry was next to insider support. In its current form the above application currently supports only prior 2 BB10 peripheral T-Mobile, the Q10 and Z10. Despite the classic hit the shelves of T-Mobile, despite the fact that T-Mobile as well as the TWO classic BlackBerry supports WiFi called, it seems to come down to this app gets an update. I write here wondering if there is information about the status of this application as well as the support with regard to devices. Will be it be updated to include the classic? Is this a known issue? Is this really T-Mobile app? Just anything, any kind of transparency or tiny tidbit of information be always so would appreciate! If anyone has information or can better direct me on where to take my survey, I am more than happy to wait for your answers! Thank you for your time.

That's the beauty of this site... we do not work for carriers, nor for the BB. So, we can be truly independent and share more that they would be allowed to share. But, keep in mind that everything we know is therefore not official (unless it is a public site, such as the database of BB KB). We are sure that we are right on these points, but being not "in it", we can't know with 100% certainty.

You're most welcome and good luck!

  • Version of app store not the developer of functioning entirely version?

I downloaded a program of conversion of graphics widely used and much appreciated in the App Store ($39.99) only to find out after that I recorded and tried to use it it lacks all the features and does not the a specific task (read and convert Kodak PCD files) I bought it for. There was no warning or other indication on the Apple App Store was selling a version modified and disabled. I've never met this before.  What should I do?

  • BlackBerry World on 10.3.1 device Simulator

    Hi all

I searched here and found no answer on how to test the invocation of the BlackBerry world in the last 10.3.1.xxx Device Simulator!

    can someone help me please?

I can not even find the World of BlackBerry app in the Simulator...

BlackBerry World is not supported or included in 10 of BlackBerry Simulator.  Applications downloaded from BlackBerry World on the Simulator will not work because they are compiled for the ARM and the Simulator uses x 86 binary.

To test that you will need to use a real device or a test like the Perfecto Mobile service that allows remote tests on real devices.

What developer support options are available for the development of Java for the BlackBerry Smartphone?

    What plans are available?

Who can I contact with to register a support plan?

One of the evangelists 'Developer' RIM working outside South Africa, I think, so there should be someone local you can talk too.  If you message Mark Sohm (the RIM name you will see a lot on the forum - MSohm), with your e-mail address and it ask to put you in contact with the Developer Evangelist in SA, which should help.  You can tell Mark to ask me if he needs clarification.  Do not promise anything either but I hope that something will happen.

  • Can we get all the contacts that are in the Blackberry phone using the PIM functionality that is, JSR 75?

    Hello guys,.

I need to develop an application that should support devices such as the Bold 9700 and Pearl, Storm, Blackberry Curve 8900. If I go for j2me / MIDP, what will be the limits that I face in blackberry? Is it recommended to go for j2me or device-specific development of RIM.

Can we get all contacts into the Blackberry phone using PIM JSR 75 i.e and other native features features if developing an application in j2me for blackberry. I guess that the user interface will be completely different, but we support all the controls that supports the JDE?

Is someone can you please tell me if I can get access to all contacts present in the Blackberry phone using 'javax.microedition.pim' API - that is not specific to the RIM. Has anyone tried this one virtually on the phone or emulator?

Y at - it something like a website where I can test my application on Blackberry devices as in the Nokia Forum Sites?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Raki

    JSR75 is supported

However, there are some extensions specific "Blackberry" for the base PIM classes. These add a few extension Blackberry PIM data. I think that you can only use the JSR 75 classes as long as you don't need BB extensions.

For the test, the development environment provides the device simulators.

  • No Skype app in the Blackberry world

I can't the Skype app in the Blackberry world. Not even when you use the search option. I get other applications that contain the word Skype, but not the official Skype app.

When I try to install it from the Skype website, it brings me to a page of the application, but the download is not possible. The error tells me something on my connection, but is not the real cause. When I followed the link on my laptop, I get an error that there is no app id.

Hi, SkyBerry, and welcome to the Skype community,

Skype for BlackBerry OS 10.x is now available for download from the BlackBerry of the Amazon AppStore version.

    Kind regards

    Elaine

  • Blackberry app in the world running on the Blackberry 10 Simulator

    Hello

I would like to run blackberry apps world that I download on App world on the Simulator.

I could do with the pre OS 10 simulators, but with the latest it doenst seem to work, no matter what Application download.

I tried with different versions of the Simulator including 10.2.2_0X1444

    The Simulator to load correctly.

I can browse the internet, so I know I have connectivity,

I can go on the App World and then choose an application to download.

The progress bar then moves as it downloads the file.

However at this point, I'm getting the problem. Once the file is downloaded then just get the message 'Installation pending '.

Is it possible to get an app in the blackberry world to run on the Simulator?

    answered my own question...

    Of

    https://DevNet.madewithmarmalade.com/questions/14729/test-launch-of-a-BlackBerry-bar-file-on-a-Devic...

The reason is basically because the Simulator is x 86/intel architecture and we build for ARM (device architecture).

We want to support the Simulator, but various other tasks (for example Windows Phone) platform support take priority for the forseable future. There are some difficulties to support the Simulator with an internal architecture on our side, graphics drivers, etc..

Note that because the binaries, you can run in the device Simulator BB10 and aBB10 are different (if you use BlackBerry own SDK, it will compile two different binary, one for each architecture), you would not even test a real construction identical and there is always possibility of issue on the device, you do not see on the desktop.
