  I want to disable Smart CPU to save energy because of another bug that I confirmed was caused by this setting: programs would become numb after 3 minutes of inactivity (not to move the mouse or type anything). For example, itunes would cease all of a sudden play in the middle of a song. Firefox (or any other open program) seems to hang when I return to my laptop after having been away. These programs would meet again after a long time painfully. All that I can do is just move my windows mouse and switch to other programs no longer responds.

  The problem disappeared after I turned off smart power saving CPU and also smart drive to save energy. For the weeks everything worked properly. but again, I encountered this problem of the "lack of response after minutes of inactivity" and I discovered that the setting "Smart energy saving CPU" was given to zero/re-enabled and I could turn it off any more.

  Help, please. I need a fix for one of the two mentioned bugs.

• Bug report: Power Manager causes performance slowed after resume from hibernation

  I use Windows 7 and several versions of the power manager, including the last 6.63.1 of a 220 X.

  If I Hibernate the computer, when I'm back, everything is very slow. For example, it takes several seconds for a page to display after clicking a tab in Chrome, but it's just an example, almost everything is unresponsive. This happens for about 5-10 min, but eventually everything will work normally. It seems to be related to the use of high page files. More I wait to take over after the hibernation, the biggest problem seems to be taking.

  The deactivation of the service to be able to eat has not corrected the problem, but after uninstalling the power manager, the problem will disappear completely.

  I have discussed this with the Power Manager team and they think that this problem can occur because of a feature called Fast Hibernation summary power manager.  The idea is that Power Manager will page out most application on the drive memory before hibernation.  Then the hibernation file will be as small as possible, resulting in a faster recovery time.  But I guess it can cause this side effect, you found if several applications are page in a lot of memory, disk, after sleep.  Then you would end up with the use of the disc heavy and slow application performance, until finally the memory is restored from pagefile.

  Anyway, if you want to retry Power Manager, please install the latest version and then apply this reg file to disable the feature that we believe that your problem is initially:

  Restart after applying the reg file.  This assumes that you are running 64-bit Windows.  If you are running 32-bit Windows, let me know and I'll give you a different reg file.

  I use a Windows 7 VM, there a number of snapshots (with no branching). I tried to remove two intermediate snapshots between the base and the "you are here". VMWare workstation has complained that it doesn't have enough free space on partition to delete snapshots, which is fair enough. However, the Snapshot Manager no longer shows the clichés that I tried to delete. So now I find myself with a number of snapshot vmdk files that can no longer be merged. Any ideas how to solve this problem and return the snapshots in snapshot Manager?

  I understand that your HP spectrum x 360 is having a battery problem. You will need to return the option balanced diet plan options if it's high performance, it didn't wake up from sleep mode.  Here is a link on the mode "Eve" of issues.

• T460: Battery-management-Bug in BIOS update 1.10?

  A week ago, I've updated the BIOS of my Thinkpad T460 of 1.07 Version 1.10 and then some time later I noticed that from there on an internal battery pack was released before externally. Normally, it should be the other way around.

  At first, I couldn't imagine it has something to do with the new BIOS but today I installed the old Version 1.07 again once and now it works exactly as before the update and battery packs are unloaded in the right order.

  I have also heard Lenovo engineers and programmers read in this forum and so I decided to write about this problem here. It is perhaps possible to fix this bug in Version 1.10 with a new BIOS update.

  01/05/2016:

  Today, I installed the update again to see if it is a problem that appear each time and at the beginning it was fine, one internal was released in first then the external track. But when I started to load my thinkpad I noticed that now, right here, it's the other way round, so the external battery has been charged to the first and not internal, as would be normal. So I think it's really a T460 BIOS Version 1.10 bug affecting battery management.

  
  

• Firefox Download Manager problems

The release is Tuesday next so little time. From topic: config you can try to change the empty value of browser.safebrowsing.appRepURL in the meantime.

  I use the AxAcroPDF component to load and display the PDF file.   I managed to find a workaround for the problem. Maybe the dll is having a bug. I managed to disable the 'read' Mode by setting the value in the registry in my application.  This disables the reading popup appears in my application.

• APP crashes when closing a screen, loses focus and said having no screens

  I'm learning the basics for development of Java for BlackBerry, the version I use is 6 SDK.

  While working on an example provided in my workplace, I came across a bug that causes the app freeze and stop to respond to user input after the closure of a screen. The console output showed a message saying:

  Application in the foreground * lost focus because it has no screens.

  which is weird, because a screen again. After that without this intervention can be made with the soft, I'm only able to hold the button menu to select go to the home screen, but if I try to enter the app is still frozen in the last window, I even rebooted the device and the app has remained the same (I do not know if this kind of persistent behavior is normal in the development of BlackBerry).

  Because this entire logic is called when fires the onClose method, I do not understand how I can "run out" of screens, especially since the console is saying there are not and a screen is still displayed.

  What caused this problem in the application? Is it posible to pop the entire screen in the application and still be in the app?

  I did a little test of my own project and placed a menu item when you press on removes the only window I have and the behavior I described above is checked.

  For some reason any test project, I am student pop all of its screens when you press return, but I don't understand how is it still possible. What I am pressing too fast back button and it is somehow triggering several persistent organic pollutants?

  The situation you described happens when you last screen of pop on the BlackBerry 'view stack' but does not close the application.  Thus, the Blackberry operating system still tries to display something for the application and which is usually the last screen was displayed. However this isn't a real screen, so there is no interaction, like indeed the application has hung.  There no, there just no screens.

  Now, you are going to say that can't happen because you keep track of the screens in the stack.  But sorry, I would say that this is what is happening and there is a bug in the management of battery screen.

  In my opinion, it is a potential bug in the management of your stack.  I think you should recover the real of the Vector and pop screen than the screen, not that active.  You can also check to make sure that the screen that you are appearing is active.  Then allows you to detect when the battery of the screen that you have is not synchronized with the BlackBerry screen battery.

  I don't know why your application is now its own stack of anyway, given that the Blackberry has a display of the battery itself.  You can browse the BlackBerry screen battery using getActiveScreen(), then getScreenBelow().

• ListItemData in onCreationCompleted

  Hello

  It seems as if the value of ListItemData in onCreationCompleted is not properly set to each element. I get the same element repeatedly as onCreationCompleted comes again and again for different created items.

  This can easily be demonstrated in the sample application CascadesCookbook. Just add these lines at the end of RecipeItem.qml and you will see what I mean:

  If anyone has comments on it, I would be very grateful. I will be happy to enter in this as a bug in the Manager of incidents, but wanted to check first on the forum, to the case where someone spots I do something wrong.

  I discovered that I can use ListItem.onInitializedChanged to be notified when the Visual element has been created and initialized to propely. In this context, the ListItemData has the correct value.

• WiFi performance

  My application downloads anywhere between 100 KB and 2 MB files using http and https.   I use '; interface = wifi; deviceside = true '.

  When I capture TCP/IP traffic on the side server, I see acknowledgments duplicate from the phone, the gaps in traffic waiting for responses from the phone and the broadcasts of the server - so either the phone is very slow to respond or packets are lost.  If I connect a Mac to the same WiFi network and make the same requests from the server, I do not see the same problems and the download is much faster.

  My suspicions are

  1. maybe my application uses too much CPU, so the TCP stack on the phone is not able to answer.  This does not seem likely that the phone UI is still very sensitive.  Any ideas for the monitoring of the use of the processor on the phone?

  2. it looks like almost there is that a bug in the management sequence number in the phone TCP stack and it is recognizing the byte at the beginning of the packet received and not the byte following it expects to receive.  It seems hard to believe, and I have no solid proof yet.

  3. the wireless antennas / electronic in the phone is not as good as the Mac so it loses more packages.  I tried a few different BBs up here with the same result, so it does not seem likely either

  Any ideas or suggestions?

  Looks like it's 3.  I took the phone home and it worked fine with my WiFi at home.   I think that there is too much noise in our office so he can do deal with.

  Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit. Malware any created symbolic links in Windows Defender files. Specifically the en-US folder - it now points to C:\Windows\System32\config:

  I Googled it and everybody says 'just use rmdir. THA does not work

  The directory is not empty.

  Is there another way to remove a link? I tried mklink to change the link in an empty folder - no joy:

  C:\Program Files\Windows Defender.bad > mklink /D EN - US.bad D:\TEMP\Empty
  Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

  Why MS did not provide a way to separate a folder? Seems pretty basic that there should be a way to cancel a link operation. Of course, I can't delete my config folder. I'm trying to avoid having to start over from scratch - help!

  I had the same problem and I solved it.

  Prompt orders open and administrator, and type

  CD "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender.bad"

  fsutil reparsepoint delete en - us

  fsutil reparsepoint delete backup

  fsutil reparsepoint delete drivers

  After that, to us, backup and driver records - return to their State of origin. You can delete the parent folder and start a clean install.

  Apparently, the malware transforms these symbolic links directory entries without changing their "file properties". This explains why rmdir does not remove them.

  fsutil restores the malicious acts and you can delete these directories.

  I'm not an expert on the file system, but this seems to be a bug in the management of NTFS symbolic links. Microsoft may take into account in this situation?
