Build 7601 not authentic

I bought a laptop on eBay a month ago (I know, I know, but my old one dies), and after a week or two, I started to receive messages on my copy of Windows is not legitimate No. The key is displayed in the properties does not match the one on the COA sticker on the bottom of the laptop, so I thought, huh, weird, but I'll just put in the correct code of the tile and be OK, right? Evil. I get an error saying that code is not legitimate either. I have triple-checked the key just to make sure I wrote it down correctly.

It is a true copy, and there is just a hiccup in the registry that can be fixed with a magic black, such as practiced by much better with computers people that I am? Or did, I find myself a fake copy?

That's what I get from the diagnostic tool.

  • Windows 7 Build 7601 not authentic on brand new computer

Purchased my Lenovo to Fry mid October 2012.  Have already experienced several BSOD right after that MS updates were installed every time.  A few days ago, I met several BSOD right after that the Windows updates were installed.  On the last BSOD, I get the message Windows 7 Build 7601 not authentic.  Nothing I tried as suggested on screen worked, amounts to the same thing.  I am a student full time online.  Fall semester ends on Sunday, December 16, and I'm way now behind on all my homework back and my final exams in all categories.  It does not help and I have not the time to take my computer to Fry for them to take a look.  All my data is stored here.  In addition, I tried to restore to another time, when you restart the message was still there then I turned off and when rekindled later it had disappeared, but returned for the next day.  I tried to restore againn but this time it won't go away.  I don't know where my product key is, as it is not on the computer itself.  It may be on a manual but I have since moved and had the movers help me and they put things in the back of my storage unit or in boxes not recognized.  So until I go through everything in my storage unit I'm screwed.  Please help as soon as possible because it's really me screwing.

    Thank you

    Denise

You install the driver from Windows Update updates?

If so, I would avoid their installation in the future and instead to download any available hardware updates directly from the manufacturers Web site.

I also suggest that when you get a new computer and you start for the first time, you must create a system restore point.

As each new Windows 7 PC should come with a COA sticker that is attached to it, this is one evidence of a genuine license installed on the machine. If you bought it on shelf, its possible someone could have pulled off the sticker.

Always check for a real sticker or buy any of the machine.

It seems that you have bad luck with Fry, FRY well their business and the purchase of another where, there is nothing particularly special to their topic. Try to buy directly from the manufacturer online or try another store, if you live close to a Microsoft Store, you can go.

Sorry for all the problems that you are experiencing, we are just volunteers here who are trying to help other users of Windows.

  • Build 7601, not authentic Windows. Can I change OEM Retail?

Windows 7 Home premium OEM worked very well on my PC at home built for 6 months or more. Then I started getting warnings that the version is not authentic. I bought the software from a reputable supplier and I thought that you had to use OEM on a new PC. I did research as much as I can on the subject, but I am reluctant to pay again for a commercial version. Can't understand why MS would allow sales OEM versions to the public if they can only be used by certified computer manufacturers? Is there something I can do? I don't mind paying a small fee if I committed a mistake, but not the entire cost.

  • Windows 7 Build 7601 not authentic

    Hello

Recently, I started my computer and received the error message saying that my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine.  I had my laptop with Windows for 6 years without problems.  Also, when I restart my computer an error occurs stating that I may have been victim of software counterfeiting.  I ran a diagnostic test that returns the following:

I tried using the CMD and SLMGR-REARM several times without success.  If someone could help me solve this problem, I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you

    Darren

When I went to properties under computer and scrolled down, he had no link to change the product key.  What should I do?  Also, I don't know if I can read all the product out of the sticker key.

    Click Start, type: CMD

    Right-click on CMD

    Click on run as administrator

At the command prompt, type the following commands:

slmgr.vbs - ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (to replace the specified in the current product key)

xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx - represents your product key

    Press enter on your keyboard

    Leave the command prompt

    Restart your computer

  • Windows7 Ultimate "Build 7601 not authentic"

I have seen many others on the site with the same problem like this.  I spent several days trying different proposed corrections until I finally decided to just buy another OS.  I don't want a new computer, just get a job.  My problem now is, where can I get a real operating system Windows 7 Ultimate?  I tried several so-called companies that sell it for about $50.00 to $ 199.99?  Can someone give me an idea where I could get a copy of 'AUTHENTIC' Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on disk with a license code that came with it?  I'm at my wits end.

    Thanks in advance.

As mentioned, many licenses Windows 7 Ultimate sold on auction sites are non-authentique MSDN or TechNet licenses.

On MSDN or TechNet product key

They are genuine Microsoft product keys, they are in fact retail licenses, but it is expected for a product specific Microsoft Software Developer Network (MSDN) and TechNet channel for professionals who pay a subscription. The main objective is for evaluation purposes. The big thing to their subject, unlike Microsoft, MSDN or TechNet keys evaluation software expires. Because the agreement by virtue of which the subscription is provided is a single license, none of the software should be distributed outside of it. Although its $50,000 worth of licenses, it is for one person only for use and no one else. Unfortunately, no matter the conditions of license, people still abuse of the program, two key product gift or sell on auction sites. Microsoft it issues licences in good faith that customer will not do it, but I guess human nature win on.

In your case, what has probably happened is, you bought a license MSDN key, which carries up to 10 activations unlike packed full of retail licenses which carry 1 activation. The person who sold it to you probably sold to 10 other people. Somewhere along the way, one of these people could have installed on a second system activated, because it went past 10 activation threshold, Microsoft has detected that he was abused and blocked the key for later use.

  • How can I fix the windows 7601 build bug not authentic?

Like many people, I seem to have contracted the problem to build 7601. My copy of Windows 7 seems to think that it is not authentic.

    How can I fix it?

I have absolutely no reason to believe that my copy of Win7 is not genuine. He is come pre-installed on a Compaq Presario that I bought in TESCO for several years and until a month ago, never threw to the top of the screen "not true." The Unit came with the sticker on top which included the series product key.

I have read other discussions on this topic and they all seem to contradict each other and also seem to be quite old. They mention an update uninstall then advise against it. A related to a patch from Microsoft that no longer exists.

I found online a tutorial that showed me how to operate the SLMGR-REARM in the DOS window. It worked for the first three times that my copy flaked out but of course, then stopped.
I then discovered a tutorial that showed me how to reset the key "reg" to allow the RESET to work again. It worked only once. Since then, I was unable to fix it. In any case, it is all to treat the symptom, not the cause.

When I finally got the license to operate properly, I checked for Windows updates, but my Windows updater told me that there is no available update and that my Win7 was completely up to date.

Of course, I can't check the updates now that Win7 thinks that it is not authentic.

I recently did a hot-swap to my HD of the Compaq Presario mentioned previously in a new machine. I used the method prescribed essentially disconnect all my drivers and put Windows in some sort of fashion 'sleep' before the Exchange. I forgot what it's called but it's a feature of Windows designed to minimize problems when hot-swapping. 7601 the problem seems to start a month or two after that, and I wonder if this is the cause.

I had a number of profiles corrupted demanding a restoration of the profile in the registry as well, but they date to before the hotswap and return at the beginning of the year. I suspect bad sectors on the disk and wonder if it is maybe the cause also.

While 7601 is does not interfere with my day-to-day work day on the machine (other than the annoying popups to warning), I want to fix because it is just gauling, knowing that it's really a genuine copy of Windows 7.

I will continue to trawl through the other posts to build 7601, but if there is a solution to current day, I would be grateful to hear it.

    Wayne

Well, after reading a load of complex technical solutions, install this, delete, change, etc. Someone suggested I just go in the key product Activation and it worked. Don't know for how long but I'll scan for bad sectors on the disk hard where the information is to be corrupt.

  • Windows 7 Build 7601 not genuine - but it is!

A month ago, I replaced my 5 + years computer's hard drive (an old Dell with Win 7 home premium), reinstalled windows (Yes, an authentic version) and went on my way happy.  Yesterday, in the typical fashion of this error, the background went black and I get the small "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" in the lower right corner.  I also get popups from Windows telling me to validate my version, I tried and he repeated to me that it cannot validate it.  I have downloaded and run MGADiag.exe, with the results displayed below (even if I took the liberty to remove the characters of the product key and the hash key, as I not sure if that can be used maliciously or not).  Any help is really appreciated.

Select Start, right-click on computer and select Properties. There is Activation of Windows at the bottom of the windows. Click on change product key and enter the product key (25 characters), and then click Nextto activate via the internet. The product key to be entered is to be found on the CoA sticker in the battery or on the underside of the laptop compartment. http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-the-Windows-certificate-of-authenticity

The key to enter has no RMV82, the last, five of the 25-character product key. KeyFinder software does not work on a Dell computer.

  • Windows 7 Build 7601 not genuine after replacing the motherboard?

I recently replaced a motherboard failed in our computer and now I get a "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine" message.  Help, please.  Thank you.  Ed

You have used the product key OEM SLP from the factory (which won't work) and not the key of the COA is located on the sticker on the PC.

You must change the key of 25 characters than on the sticker (side cover of a desktop computer, lower compartment or inside a laptop).

    Try the following:

Open a prompt (run as administrator) and enter:

slmgr - ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, then press 'Enter' (where XXXX is your key)

then enter: slmgr - ato and press ENTER.

Wait a few seconds, then exit command prompt. Now to see if your real, reboot if necessary and, even if it's not true they activate by phone.

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
    (2) press the ENTER"" key.
    (3) to select your "country" you are in the drop-down list.
    (4) choose the option "activate phone".
    (5) stay on the phone * do not select/press any option * and wait for a person to help you.
    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
    (7) the person must give you a confirmation ID, copy it down on paper,
    (8) check that the ID is correct in reading the support person.
    (9) to enter the ID number, then click 'Next' to complete the activation process.

  • Windows 8 Build 9200 not authentic

I bought a Toshiba Satellite C855D - S5357 to Office Max and now 2 years later I get an error code telling me that my version of windows mode not authentic.  I bought this computer from a dealer and it came with windows 8 installed and I am unable to run an update on this PC.  Runs the windows genuine Diagnostics tool simply said as the 'Validation of the OS does not support' and I get an error code when I try to copy the page.

Any advice would help as when I bought this computer at an authorized Microsoft Retailer, I thought that the version of windows installed was a real individual license

To determine the current status, that is Windows, run this command at an elevated command prompt, and then paste the contents of report.txt in your answer:

    Licensingdiag.exe - %userprofile%\desktop\report.txt-log %userprofile%\desktop\repfiles.cab report

you need to change your product key to the one on your COA.
Click Start, type slui 3, press on enter

    Additional information:

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. It is a valid product key, but must be used only in certain situations (for example, if the OEM SLP key stops automatic activation for a reason any). The key must be activated by phone. (Note: all manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key, on the computer)

  • Get the build 7601 invalid

I build my computer and it activated by phone and had run it since the month of July this year.  I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition.  When I started my computer and update of windows today I received a message saying build 7601 not valid. I tried to restart windows online and received a message that the product key used could not be used to activate windows on this computer.  It was the first and only one installation that I did using this disc.  I ran the Diagnostics MGA and included the results in order to help solve this problem Diagnostic (1.9.0027.0) report:

  • Windows 7 build 7601 authentic not get error 0x8007041D

    Hello

I'm back from vacation Saturday last to find that my PC all gummed up with over 40% of memory used and the following message appears on the desktop:

"Windows 7 Build 7601, this copy of Windows is not genuine."

Up to 3 weeks for the two previous years, it wasn't a problem.

I have buy windows 7 with the Acer laptop to amazon.co.uk 2 years ago.

According to the sticker on the base of the laptop, it is most certainly a genuine copy of Windows 7.

I tried to run the slui.exe but no avail and using the tools on the web that offer Microsoft - validate online, etc., but all without success.

As a simple user, dependent on automatic updates, etc. and very satisfied with W7 until 2 weeks ago I need someone to solve this problem for me.

Here is the result of the MGADiag.exe

There seems to be multiple i/o on drive C: errors - this would tend to indicate the alteration of the drive or a drive failed.

Run a full scan of CHKDSK and SFC...

Click Start > all programs > Accessories

Right-click on the entry of the command line

Select run as administrator and accept the UAC - elevated command prompt window prompt should appear.

    At the command prompt, type

    CHKDSK C: /R

    and press the Enter key.

We'll tell you that the disc is locked,

and the CHKDSK runs the next time he started - press Y and restart.

The chkdsk command will take a few hours depending on the size of the disk, so be patient!

Once executed, the command CHKDSK Windows should start normally (possibly after a second auto) - then run the SFC.

SFC - SFC System - Instructions

Click Start > all programs > Accessories

Right-click on the entry of the command line

Select run as administrator and accept the UAC - elevated command prompt window prompt should appear.

    At the command prompt, type

    SFC/SCANNOW

    and press the Enter key

Wait for that analysis at the end - make a note of any error messages - and then restart.

Copy the CBS.log file created on your desktop (you can not manipulate directly) can compress the copy and transfer it to your SkyDrive (http://skydrive.live.com ) and post a link to it so that I can take a look.

Post a new MGADiag report with details of any error messages encountered.

  • Build 7601 is not authentic?

Hi all... so I'm another person with the error code "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy isn't genuine" I bought this laptop directly from Best Buy - in store - new (this was ish-September 2010), and it came with Windows 7 installed on it. He worked for about a year before she decided to not be more valid. I tried to re - validate according to the instructions of the computer/windows which was given to me at the start but I kept getting the error codes and it kept prompting me to buy another copy of Windows, which I won't do. I read through some of the other threads on this problem, and I want to emphasize that I have never changed the card mother or any other material on this computer, nor did I have any virus here or a remove my scanner (AVG) all wrong virus files (that I know of at least). My laptop being 'not real' is more than just a thorn in my side than anything since everything he does (that I noticed) is change my black background and have reviews of forthcoming pop up every 5 minutes at the bottom of my screen. Still, it would be nice if I could get a remedy to the situation, any help I could get would be wonderfully appreciated. As requested, since the previous discussions, I've read, here is my scan of diagnosis:

for some reason your computer is not properly read the slic table.

You need to change your product key to the one on your COA

    Click Start

    Right click on computer

    Select Properties

Scroll to the bottom of the page and select change product key

You will then need to activate by phone:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

    Additional information:

Computers, which are built by large manufacturers provided with pre-installed Windows are supplied with 2 two product keys:

    (A) OEM SLP: this key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory.

    (B) COST SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer.
