Bullets and colors behave unexpected exporting to epub.

I created a PDF book, now I want the same converted epub.

But there are some issues that I saw in the title page.

Books is on the colors, I have filled with the color of the text and lightens it, its not showing correctly in the file exported.

In addition, the size of the character of the doesnot exported balls match the text, its very low.

I couldnot understand what happened...

anyone?

Hi ricjordan,

Your request of bullets, you can try this:

When exporting the file to superatue there is an option for the bullets in the formatting options (on the general tab in the Epub export options). Select seeded down converts it to text.

This will keep the formatting to the text, but on the cost that your balls will not appear in the list not ordered in the corresponding epub .xhtml.

In addition, if your document contains multiple series of lists to which you don't want to convert to text, you can selectively mark a specific list of text of TYPE--> BULLETS AND NUMBERING to--> CONVERT to TEXT.

Your color stuff, that I just want to confirm how do you lighten your color?

  • Checkbox labels disappear and colors modified during export to interactive PDF

I did an InDesign document that contains two simple text boxes: one containing the word 'Yes' – the other containing the word 'no '. The background color of these two boxes are defined as 100% Cyan. After that, I have converted both of them boxes [(voir 1) in the illustration below].

But when you export as interactive PDF, the background color of change boxes 17/11/0/0 and the 'yes' and ' no. "-labels are not visible in the exported PDF document [(voir 2) in the illustration below]."»

However, when you click on the box in Acrobat, the box contains its original color 100% cyan and label and check mark appears [(voir 3) in the illustration below].

But when I click on an empty space outside the box, the box label disappears again, and the background color changes again in 17, 11, 0, 0 [(voir 4) in the illustration below].

My intention is that, when you view the document in Acrobat Reader, check boxes 100% Cyan with labels 'Yes' and 'No' obvious, when you click on one of them, the check box appears and background color remains 100% Cyan and the labels remain visible - also when you click off the beaten later.

  • Hello! I am a family oriented photographer and have a bit of trouble to keep the colors of files exported between lightroom and photoshop consistent. I edited my images on 5 Lightroom and export TIFF files after ProPhoto color space

Hello! I am a family oriented photographer and have a bit of trouble to keep the colors of files exported between lightroom and photoshop consistent. I edited my images on 5 Lightroom and export TIFF files after changing color ProPhoto RGB space. Then, I opened a picture at once and changed the settings of Photoshop CC ProPhoto RGB color (under the workspace). When I was editing on photoshop, I tried to export the image, but the colors seemed different, a bit washed out and blue, from the color of the workspace, I was on. I don't know how to solve this problem. Please notify.

Thank you very much for this! Color sorted

  • When you export to epub, only about 1/3 of my chapters receive page breaks. Each chapter is in its own doc, and I tried to split apart by doc. and H1, without success. Help

All my styles to paragraphs seem to jive, and no matter what I do, most of my chapters seem to miss their page breaks. I've heard of others having this issue with earlier versions of Indesign, but I'm on CC2014, and I thought that should be fixed now. I really won't need to learn HTML code and go break the doc epub to fix it manually, because it still doesn't work across all devices either.  I know others have this problem before racing. What I am doing wrong?

Make sure that the paragraph style applied to the chapter title (if it is the first line of each chapter) is the tag. Open the paragraph style and go to the export of marking and Split Document (epub only). Then, when you export (assuming you are using recomposable) under general > check Split Document based on paragraph Style tags export. Try it and tell us if it helps.

  • Trapping and overprint and separator for the export page.

    Hello

I am the design of a hardcover book and did not export anything of this magnitude before, I wanted to ask you if I should consider applying all the settings of the document in terms of overprinting and trapping.

In addition, we have many examples where images and color objects meet at the center of the book, I export single pages with purge and the printer has referenced the separation, and I wanted to ask if I need to separate the pages where we have pictures and color along the Center and manually add and apply the purge prior to export.

Thank you so much in advance...

Nothing in your screenshot must be set for a recovery, especially white. There is nothing here that requires any sort of special treatment on your part.

  • Colors do not match from Lightroom (checked ICC, cab version and color settings)

    Greetings,

I have a picture of the water in the rocks in Lightroom CC 2015. Do you have all my settings and it looks the way I want it. He sent to Photoshop CC 2015 and I get this strange halo neon-aqua in the water.

The image has a DNG from a Panorama in Lightroom, so I tried the following:

    1. check that the treatment of color Aqua/Blue in Lightroom. Restore all files source panorama 0 and rebuilt. Same question.

    2. export file looking for good Lightroom as TIFF, then open it directly from Lightroom. Same question.

    3. open the TIFF file in other applications (e.g., Pixelmator, Raw Therapee). Image looks exactly as it does in Lightroom, so question should be in Photoshop.

    4. change the settings in the color settings in Photoshop. Tried of perceptual and Relative. Have all the options under "Color management policies" as "Preserve" and all options are checked. All combinations led to the same question.

5 enabled setting in Camera Raw by bridge and resynched setting for the CC apps. Same question.

6a changed to write the settings Lightroom develop in format JPG, TIFF, PSD files (I always checked even when XMP). Same question.

    7. calibrate the monitor with X - Rite ColorMunki Photo. Same question.

8 calibrate the monitor with a gain of X-Rite ColorMunki Photo, but this time with the ICC v2 profile. Same question.

    9. turned on GPU (MacBook Pro retina end 2013). Same question.

    10. tried to re-assiging and profile ProPhoto RGB conversion. Same question.

    11. I usually export to Photoshop as 16 bit, ZIP, 300 dpi, ProPhoto RGB TIFF. Tried to export to Photoshop as PSD. Same question.

12 tried exporting as sRGB and AdobeRGB. Who worked in the sense that the halos of aqua has disappeared, but the image is duller than in Lightroom (although a so slightly).

In view of the fact that the image is displayed as expected in all applications, but Photoshop (well, Illustrator as well, but it converts the subtle colors of the water in 8-bit, so I'm not sure that the problem is the same), I suspect I'm missing something in Photoshop. In addition, it seems to only affect how Photoshop interprets the images with ProPhoto RGB profiles. I don't remember having this problem with previous versions.

All the foregoing is CC versions and is up to date. ACR is 9.2.

Steps 1 through 9 were the ideas that I found elsewhere in the forums, but I'm out of ideas.

A reflection as to how I can continue to use ProPhoto RGB, given that my entire workflow is based on that?

    Thank you very much

    Paul

Screenshots would help, but from what you describe this must be your monitor profile. A problem with the profile itself, or an application is not loading the correct profile.

It does not matter what color space you export from Lightroom. These applications are the two color managed and will display the file correctly regardless of the color space. They must be synchronized (the exception is the threshold effect that can happen from Adobe RGB to sRGB, but you won't see that on a range wide-screen.) Any cutting of ProPhoto was moot because you don't see, in any case, on any monitor).

So when you say you see a difference between a file exported as ProPhoto and exported as Adobe RGB or sRGB, it's a smoking gun. Something wrong here, and the main suspect is still the monitor profile.

The two find themselves in the same monitor profile, but the source profiles are different. In Lightroom, it is linear (gamma 1.0) ProPhoto, in Photoshop gamma 1.8 ProPhoto, Adobe RGB or sRGB. Conversions are so different. This is why a bad profile may appear differently in different scenarios.

Basic troubleshooting is to replace the monitor with a known good profile. That would be the sRGB or Adobe RGB, depending on whether your monitor is a standard or wide range. Then see if there is still a difference. Be sure to restart both applications when done - they load the profile screen on startup.

  • Why Illustrator CC 2015 removes the text and objects when I export my work to JPEG or TIFF?

Basically I have never encountered this problem on my Macbook Pro, but I just bought a new iMac and I get this problem. In order to reduce the PDF proofs to the United States and China, I tend to the artboard export to TIFF / JPEG import back into Illustrator CC 2015 and save as PDF. But whenever I have export my work plan and an overview of JPEG or TIFF, Miss me the elements in the document. Even after the expansion of the text in vector objects based objects, they continue to disappear. Can anyone help? Thank you

You can have white points set to overprint. Select the bullets and in attributes palette remove overprinting.

  • Arabic punctuation when exporting to ePUB fixed a provision

    Hello

I use InDesign nc6 ME and it seems very well my document.

Once I try to export to ePUB 3.0 fixed layout, my punctuation at the end of paragraph appears at the beginning of the last line rather than at the end.

Please keep in mind that since it is an Arabic text, punctuation at the end of the line must be on the left which is not what I mean.

I hope I can find some help with this.

    Hi Sania,

Thanks for the details. Good to know that you are on the latest version!

We had a few problems with ME (in Arabic) and Japanese (mainly vertical text) and we could not fix it to the release of June that fixing the fundamental problems in Roman text turned up as part of priority for us. Now that you have identified some problems with ME live text, we will certainly take this as a matter for us to work on. If you have some feedback more things does not in ME local EPUB recomposable, we would be happy to know those as well.

  • Export to epub "a fixed provision" puts the same page on multiple pages

Have books with 50 pages I want to export to ePub files. All pages have a mounted pdf or a jpg, so no book its complex. Exported and open in iBooks, the cover is 40-45 pages and fix them, then only 4 pages with content. Y at - it a bug or what it might be? Tried 3 different books and content and got the same result. In the xhtml file ID is the cover... If it's written wrong page number and also lack of export the right page at all... Anyone with the same result?

    Hello

Thanks for sharing files. The image is repeated on every page in the case of file imported PDF is a PEFP question (exist in the previous version) i.e. There are recomposable EPUB 9.2 CC.

This happens only in the case of PDF and not otherwise. The solution is to make changes to the image placed on each page, either in terms of size or attributes such as transparency, line, fill etc.

I know that workaround is not feasible, but it's the only option to deal with this issue until the moment that this bug is fixed. Please let me know if the problem persists even after doing these steps.

  • Recent change in InDesign Removes nonprinting layers for export to EPUB

I hate it when the characteristic quiety development teams to 'fix' I learned to rely on.

    I use InDesign CC 9.2.

Until a recent update, when I exported a book in EPUB from InDesign layers which have been set to show, but no printing have been included in the export. I relied on this because my documents include a block of the TOC not printed on the first page of each of the parts included in the anthology. This block causes the page to define when generating the table of contents (note this isn't on the page to the title, the title page itself) and is used to print the correct title on the page title of each story and the functioning of the headers throughout the body.

    indesign-export-problem.png
(An example of document - click to enlarge)

At least until January 2014, when I exported to EPUB, this visible-but-not-print block has been included in the XHTML output. I could then edit CSS to optimize for the e-reader display and title names and the author appears at the top of each piece. Some time in the past two months, that has changed: the layers that are not printed as do not EPUB export. This would not be a problem so important except that the title printed in the picture above also is not output to the EPUB file, because it's a text variable in the underlying master page.

If you like reading and playing with a tag, as I do, the two images illustrate the problem.

    The new output:
    indesign-export-problem.png
(The new release - click to enlarge)

I have five volumes of the anthology to date (including about 30 stories each) with a new release every three months. Now that this change was thrown against me, I have to get it fixed or get to a good workaround while I have only a few hundred documents to be updated, instead of twice a year.

Thanks for any help or suggestion, you can provide!

    Hi Boris,.

Master page items are never exported to EPUB and this behavior has been there since the beginning. The only solution to export these items is to replace them.

Given that this change is not specific to version 9.2, it's not called explicitly in our document of changes but I understand point of pain of the user in which they change their existing to adapt to changes workflow. Although these changes are targeted to a correct behavior, it could hinder the existing workflows in some cases.

  • Board items on the document ignored in the book while exporting to EPUB

Using InDesign CC (v9.2) on Mac - OS Mavericks

I create a table of contents for navigation for e-books using an InDesign book. Currently, it contains 3 (soon to be more) InDesign documents.

An InDesign document that is included in the book contains a range of Articles, setting the display order of objects in the document. He happens to be the first document in this book is the source. The 2 other InDesign documents in the book have nothing in their Articles of the panels.

When the book is exported to EPUB, the source InDesign document objects are out of use - it's like the book ignores Articles Panel to the document.

When I tried to export to EPUB in the book and selected the content order: even in the Articles Panel, the EPUB that results contains the InDesign source with the Articles Panel document (and the objects are in the correct order), but 2 other InDesign documents are not displayed.

What is possible to have the honor of book Articles of the inDesign document Panel?

    Hello

From what I understand your post, you have the article created in the source document, but not in other documents. While exporting to EPUB you had chosen the Articles panel-based order, but only the items in the exported got playback source document and the other two documents appears empty. This is because there are no articles created for the two other documents. Whatever the elements in the articles, only those intended for export and because items are not present for other documents, no content was exported that part of these documents.

Please let me know if your problem is different.

    Kind regards

  • Export the tag ignored when exporting to ePub

    Hi all

I use InDesign CS6 to create a document for export to ePub. I create page breaks in the ePub by selecting the Document Split option in paragraph styles. It works in all cases except for my Table of contents. The table of contents are formatted using the TOC Styles. I chose a paragraph style for the title of my OCD who uses the option Document from Split. But when I export to ePub that the table of contents does not start on a page by itself. Any suggestions on how to make this work?

    Thank you!

Probably, you try to use the paragraph style used for the title of the table of contents. However, a table of contents are something special 'live' and it is not recognized for the purpose of making an EPUB TOC.

Workaround: in the dialog table of contents Style, empty the field "Title". Instead, create a new paragraph style to format the title and apply it to the text just above where the table of contents will be displayed.

  • Loss of contrast and color using watermarks

Hi - I use Lightroom 4.3 to add a tattoo of copyright (png) image for existing tiff files for the use of the Web site. I have several different png files made using Photoshop Elements, with the text of copyright attached to different transparencies, for example 20/30/40 for 100-opacity, so that whoever I use in Lightroom I can always leave the opacity setting in the Watermark dialog box to 100% and images are resized proportionally to 35%.

The problem is that whenever I export the files after setting the position of watermark etc, I noticed that there is a significant loss of contrast and color in the files tiff newly made, and I can't understand why this is, or any means to fix. Has anyone else had this problem and was able to remedy? Thank you.

    Lightroom 4.3, Windows 7, 64 - bit.

Double-check all dialog export - exporting in Adobe RGB instead of ProPhoto or sRGB?
